Ok watched the first episode (Couldn't wait) loved it...Loved the 2nd episode EXCEPT...why did Mary start changing the way she "normally talks" she almost gives me the impression she is trying to talk with big lips! Anyone else notice this... hope it was just for this episode cause it was sooo annoying!

I did not see a big change in her tone. She did cut down on the voice overs, which some people were protesting there were too many voice overs.

Hi Bubba here, I didn't really notice to much of a change either. I'm the other way around, I like the second episode better. smile.gif

One thing I do notice is that thing by her nose. What is that??? C'mon get that off. It's like the Fred Savage mole in Austin Powers. Moley, moley, moley, moley. Get that thing off!!!!!

It did seem to me like something was wrong with her face...like her face was swollen or something. Maybe she got caught up in an action scene and got smacked in the face.

I was very vocal in my dislike of the first episode. Way over-hyped. I didn't even watch the second episode. Although my husband and son did (I know why too). We watched the third episode last night and can say I REALLY ENJOYED IT.

The banter between Mary and Marshall was sharp and witty. I cared about both of them.

Who is Dave Foley? Who cares about him guest starring? Must be a has-been.

The weak thing that has to go is the mother and sister. Why so much of them? The show screeches to a halt when they are on. Lesley Ann Warren is lovely, but those characters are so unnecessary. They add nothing.

I will watch again.

Hey guys! I'm a 4400 fan who's finally decided to come on over and give other boards a chance! biggrin.gif

That said, I definately agree with Bubba, in that I liked the second episode better. There was too much "out there humor" in the first which can be fine, but the second is more of what I thought the show would be: a touching portrayal of innocent people getting their lives torn apart, with some humor thrown into the mix. But that's just my two cents!

First of all I didn't see anything WRONG with her face. Obviously, she's comfortable with the mole or she'd have it removed. She's obviously a woman that is very comfortable in her own skin and I LOVE the confidence she conveys.

I think she might have been bloated. it's obvious it what pretty hot. The heat can cause people to retain water.

Seriously, unless it impares her performance, things attached to Mary's face by nature are not relevant. Do you get distracted by co-workers who have moles that are not large, hairy and cancerous?

I didn't even notice, and I probably won't notice when I watch again. I'm too busy enjoying watching the funny lady act.

Mary McCormack was on a radio show last week and said the filming of the show began when her newborn daughter was 8 weeks old. That could explain the weight.

I actually never noticed the mole before either. I had one removed in the exact same spot recently. Even my son said "Look, she has your mole".

... Is that statement serious?

If so, me cares. He's a brilliant, albeit Canadian, actor and improv'er. A lot of people have this weird blind spot to Canadian actors until they move to Hollywood and start talking to animals. He is pretty Americanized though, what with NewsRadio and A Bug's Life.

And Re: all the mole talk... You people make me sad.

Ditto, BadAssJammieSquad,

For the love of Mike, HelloBobby... two clicks and you wouldn't have to ask the question out loud. tongue.gif Here's some light reading. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0004929/

If you ever get a chance to see any of the old 'Kids in the Hall' show, (Lorne Michaels produced it) take the time to check out Dave Foley there. Arguably his best work. You can see the comic brilliance he possesses (and didn't get to utilize on the last In Plain Sight episode) there. Better yet, go to Youtube, type in: 'Kids in the Hall', and check it out. He's thinner and has darker hair, and is 20 years younger, but you'll recognize the voice and dry sarcasm.

OK, I've gotta go shave this mole off my face now. Where's my damn styptic pencil?

Her daughter is only 8 weeks old? OMG! I wish I knew her secret! She looks gorgeous, you would never know that she had a baby so recently. She must have GREAT genes! My Sis-in-law has a mole in the exact same spot and had hers removed as well. But, I think it must be a personal thing on having them removed or not. IMHO, she is absolutely gorgeous the way she is. biggrin.gif

I agree. I absolutely LOVE Dave Foley and agree is a a genius at his craft. He brings such a spark to everything he's in. I was looking SO forward to this episode! biggrin.gif
