Anyone know how old Tommy was? I'm wondering, cause
I've seen some possible Tommy sightings wink.gif

On the show, I think he was almost 2, maybe like 22 months old.

The episode is from Season 3 -March 4, 2005

I love that episode...love to see how Monk gets so attached to Tommy. I believe his age was 18 months but I could be wrong.

That is one of my favorite episodes as well. It is so sweet, yet sad.

This was a very good episode. It was very sad with monk telling the here's what happen in a storybook to tommy. It was sad that tommy made him happy and IMO filled a small part of the void where trudy use to fill. It might have been a good step in his recovery if he could have kept tommy but, becuase of his phobias, severe OCD and flat out he really just doesn't have the time he co uldn't keep him.

This would IMO have been a great episode to reintroduce the medication. We saw it in season 3 and would have interested to see would mr. monk had to take the medicine so he could keep tommy even if ment not being a detecitve anymore. Plus we got to see how Sharona handled it I would be curious to see what Natalie would have done.

I found it on IMDB forum:

This is one of my favorite all time episodes. They just aired it a few weeks ago. Tommy was such a cutie. My nephew is 19 months old so he reminds me of little Tommy. Whenever my nephew picks up dirt I look at him and say "nature dirty!"

LOL MJ rolleyes.gif This is one of my favorites as well. Tony must have spent alot of time with them. Anyone notice how Tommy tried to hit Natalie with the leaf when she wanted a high five??? I didnt get the feeling he liked her too much.

Yeah I noticed that! That little actor really seemed to hit it off well with Tony. Or I should say actors since twins played Tommy.

So the boys would be 51/2 or 6 now? (Figuring it was filmed some time before it aired.) I would love to see Tommy with Monk again. That was a really special episode!

I keep trying to think of a way for Tommy to "guest star" again but I can't really come up with anything. It would be so difficult for Monk to see Tommy again I would think. Any ideas?

I have thought about different scenarios where Tommy and Monk could meet again. I, like you have been unable to come up with any. Maybe if something happened to one of Tommy's adopted parents, like they were kidnapped or something. The other one could remember Monk and insist that the police call him in on the case. I don't know, that just came to me while I was sitting here typing.

I've mentioned this before but - in the middle of any episode about anything MOnk could stop on the street, point out a kid and say "That's Tommy!" And be right.

I've wondered if that would be all tht happened, or if it was the beginning of a mystery - like with Tommy locked in a car alone or something, strapped in a chair - his parents missing...

Or if Monk just sighed, and tilted his head before getting back to work, maybe with Tommy starring at him kind of absently as he passed.

Either way, Id like to see him again.

P.S. - Maybe in an episode with Varla - make a theme of it!

Maybe they both could do a cameo in that 100th episode.

Hmmm, I like that idea. Maybe Monk could groom Tommy into becoming the next great detective? Tommy could be his protege. Yeah okay he's a little young but you gotta start learning a trade sometime right? laugh.gif

You do have to start somewhere. I knew I wanted to teach since I was little, so why couldn't Tommy pick up the urge to be a detective at a young age as well.
