When the 4400 series first came out, I remember being interested but it always conflicted with other major network programs I was devoted to. It wasn't until I began a Blockbuster On-Line membership this past year that I actually was able to sit down and watch the show. It first caught my attention because the number 44 follows me everywhere, but I sat at the edge of my seat throughout the first season of DVDs and now I'm hooked like an addict. The writing is so BRILIANT - very rare in today's world of movies/shows so quickly put together just to make money. Sometimes television shows are interesting for one or two seasons and fizzle out quickly as if the writers are bored with their own creations. This is not the case with this show. The passion is quite apparent and I love the message of using our own unique abilities (although not "super" in the real world) to change the world for the better. The acting is amazing and it is so easy to feel attached to the characters.

Now, I checked out this site to see when the new season starts (now that I'm caught up), and there are petitions to bring it back. I'm confused. Doesn't USA realize this golden opportunity (when prime time network channels have a bunch of crap on currently) to grab new viewers and keep them? I'm sure there are thousands out there that don't care to watch Dancing with the Stars or American Idol and are looking for alternatives. That's how I happened upon the Bravo network and Planet Green. So, this is a quality show with amazing writing and acting and it's being cancelled??? It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize what a loyal fan base this show has, and besides Law and Order, I have zero interest in USA's other programming. I was finally able to see Dead Like Me through this Blockbuster thing and came to realize that show was cancelled years ago when I went to look on-line for the new season. Now I'm encountering the same with the 4400. What a load of Bull!!!

Get smart, USA. You have a loyal fan base that you should try to keep. If you're not interested, another network better seize the opportunity and scoop up this show quickly.

I just finished season 4 and I'm on the edge of my seat for a season 5 - put those writers and actors back to work now!!!
