So, I need some song titles from the 70's and 80's. I feel like I've pushed the limits of my memory, but I know that there are other songs out there. Just name 'em out. Or Just the singer/band. Thanky in advance.

A couple of songs ...

Eye of the Tiger - Survivor

In the Air Tonight - Phil Collins

Love Shack - B-52s

Sade, Al Jarreau, and George Benson are good artists as well.

I think those are from that era.

Not sure what kind(s) of music you prefer but I'd throw Doobies and CCR in there. I prefer music from the '70s and always hated what they were playing in the '80s--that actually should have been my era but it wasn't. I found myself listening to a lot of Barbra Streisand and Neil Diamond back then. Phil Collins is good.

You could do the Beatles, Olivia Newton John (soundtrack from Grease), Michael Jackson, Donna Summer, Cyndi Laupher, Boy George(just a few)..the list could go on forever. What I did is pick up a collection of music from the era I am interested in and download it to my MP3. I was hung up on songs from the 60's for a time, I still listen to it every once in a while.

One thing I cannot live without on mine is Duran Duran! They ruled the 80's

"Precious & Few" by Climax (1972). It was playing during the dance in "Mr. Monk and Little Monk". Actually, the version used in the episode was Sonny Geraci's (former lead singer of Climax) live version.

Gosh, I wasn't even alive during the 70's and 80's and still, IMO, they had the best music. Here's some of my favorites from the 70's and 80's.

Journey
The Police
Cyndi Lauper
Bon Jovi
AC/DC
Pat Benatar
Ramones
Led Zeppelin (you most definantly have to add "Stairway To Heaven" best Zeppelin song EVER, IMO!)
The Carpenters
Tom Petty and The HEartbreakers
Elton John
Billy Joel
J. Geils
Aerosmith
The Doors
Foreigner

Just some single songs:
"Behind Blue Eyes" The Who
"Burnin' For You" Blue Oyster Cult
"Don't Fear The Reaper" Blue Oyster Cult
"Free Bird" (I don't know who it's by, all I know is it has the best sounding guitar I've ever heard in my life.)
"Sweet Child O' Mine" GUns 'n' Roses
"Paradise City" Guns 'n' Roses
"Doctor Feelgood" MOtley Crue
"Carry On Wayward Son" Kansas

Those are just some of my personal preferences. I don't know if you like heavy music or soft music, or if you really don't care. But, there you go. smile.gif
