Vickie Guerrero announced that she is creating a New Womens Championship for SmackDown.It will be called the ''Diva's Championship''.A battle Royal took place at the tapings,with Natalya Neidhart advancing to the Night Of Champions.

Remember when Cena took the WWE Heavyweight Championship back to RAW?

Well anyway, Teddy Long announced that on June 30, 2005, they were going to have a SD! Champion, but when JBL won the match, guess what?

Teddy Long said that he was NOT the SD! Champion and so, Teddy Long drafted Batista and pull the wool over JBL and not only that, Batista took the World Heavyweight Championship w/him and JBL became the #1 Contender to that championship.

and so, suppose if Vickie Guerrero did the same thing?

I mean, pull the wool over who wins the tournament and draft Mickie James to SD! and take the WWE Women's Championship?

or what if they do make it a multi brand title?

I mean, it has been 6 years since the WWE Women's Championship was defended on SD! when Molly Holly was the last person to defend that title and she announced that the Women's Strap would not be defended on SD! anymore and so that's why it has stayed w/RAW for that last 6 years.

and BTW, I won't be watching SD! b/c I have been very disappointed in the SD! Brand.

No this is a legit title.I was reading on 411mania.com/wrestling forum,several people were saying they have read the WWE is wanting to create a couple new titles.They have got the Divas Championship now,but im not sure what the other could be.

I think its a good idea though.Now not all the divas have to go to Raw.SD! can have their own.It will be a nice division.Natalya,Victoria,Michelle Mccool,Cherry(she is great in the ring,she wrestled in NJ in the Indys) and maybe another diva can be drafted from Raw.

Well I still say that the WWE is going to have Vickie pull the wool over everybody on SD! and have the WWE Women's Champion on SD! or maybe make it a multi-brand title.

The only wrestling company I see that has separate Women's Championships is the NWA.

They have lots of Women's Titles including the NWA World Women's Championship.

Sure this gives the Smackdown divas something to feud over, but with the Women's Title on Raw gaining more prestige and credibility with what is going on on Raw, why create a Smackdown Women's Title? They only have Natalya and Victoria as "great wrestlers" and Michelle being average at best, and with Cherry gaining more experience there shouldn't be a title for them. There is also Maryse who is good, but come on, you can't use just five ladies, and what's the point of it because having them want the women's title from Raw and wanting to be there instead of Smackdown to compete gives the title on Raw more prestige. And if they want to make it inter-promotional.......okay then, but we don't need two women's titles, we just don't.

WWE having 2 Women's Championship would be a BIG mistake.

Thy should've @ least brought back the Women's Tag Team Championship, but that would not be the right time b/c of the lack of the Women's Division.

I have to disagree.Now your saying there should only be 1 Womens Title.or be InterPromotional.Well the Same could be said about The World Title,that we only need one,which is false.We Need 2 World titles because if we had 1 then not all the guys would get a shot.And the same is said for the Tag Team titles.

This New Womens Title will let the Divas of SD! have something to feud over instead of having to go to Raw.Which is great for SD! Fans because Natalya and Victoria should stay on the Best Brand,SD!.And if there was 1 interpromotional title then still not all the Divas would get a fair shot.So i applaud this decision.Maybe WWE will go back to Split brand PPV's or really want to make the Draft Split more serious and so SD! should have a World Title,secondary title,Tag team title,and now Womens Title.It is a great decision.More divas can stay on SD! and have their own belt.

Its like how NWA had diffrent promotions with lots of belts.Well WWE is now the parent company of 3 promotions RAW,ECW,and SD!.Each Promotions should have a belt for their divisions.Its a Good thing for SD!.

Now they need to send Jillian Hall back home to SD! during the Draft.She never gets the spot light on Raw,but back home she would be a major contender for the SmackDown! Divas Championship.

They really dont need 2 women's titles, i mean if its of interest to them they just need to end the brand split and merge into one. There are so many superstars in WWE right now that could be released with no big loss, and that way there would be no excuses of it being over-crowded. Just make the women's title inter-promotional, or bring all the divas to Raw. I'd rather Smackdown continue what they are doing with Cherry, Maryse, Michelle, and i guess Kelly, and Layla since ECW and Smackdown are together because it gets them more experienced and ready for the top show. Because Maryse was in development for a long time and look how good she improved.........and she is still improving! Sure she's not the best, but she's already past the level of Ashley, Kelly, Maria, and if given the chance instead of this pity feud that consists of her and Cherry she could gain the experience higher than Michelle, and even up there with the others. I even think Layla is way past the level of Kelly and the "just another diva search girl" spot, because she has greatly improved as well. Its a matter of using the divas right, not creating another women's title to make feuds, i could think of a milion other things they could feud over on Smackdown, they already have some going anyways. This just doesn't flow.

Well the reason for Jillian not getting a push is b/c the WWE is making her look bad w/that HORRIBLE singing gimmick.

and also, ratedrko1 and TornadoDDT, I think that's what happend w/WCW.

They tried to make 2 championships, Heavyweight and Cruiserweight and they both failed miserably.

I think that WCW should've took it one step @ a time instead of having to rush it too fast.

and also, back then, WWE had the Women's Title and the Women's Tag Team Titles, but then they were retired in 1989 and then WWE brought the Women's Title back in 1993 and when Madusa left in 1995, the title wouldn't comeback until 1998.

and besides, that last Women's Title Tournament from 2006 was a DISASTER.

I still think its a good idea.ECW and SD will not be merged later this month.ECW will be taping and traveling with Raw for now on,which more then likely will mean a Merger with ECW and Raw.Thats why Teddy Long is the New ECW GM to explain the end of the Merger with Vickie Guerrero and SD! So when ECW and Raw merges,then the ECW Vixens will be eligible to compete for the Womens Championship.And Raw will have so many Divas with the new merger so maybe a couple divas will be sent to SD to even out the 2 womens Divisions.

Well there is way less women than men in WWE. They need 2 world titles because there are so many contendors, and not near as many for the women's division. Because Maria, Ashley, and Kelly are three that shouldn't be no where near the women's title. Even if more women get brought up to Smackdown it doesn't matter, there should only be one Women's title, and thats the way it should be. It gains more prestige that way and means a hell lot more once you win it. Just think of it's history, the likes of Fabulous Moolah, Sherri Martel, Sable, Trish, Lita, Ivory, Molly, Chyna, Jacqueline and lots more from the past, just think of the honor it would be for the diva who once wins it. All its history, and everything its been through gives it more credibility than any new divas championship for a 5 women division would.

Well its still not right. You can't start out with only 5 divas, now it'll just be rushed in the process, i think its a poor choice on creative's part, especially when there are so many other better things to do.

I like the Decision.Also WWE has been realising Info saying they are looking for some Brazilian and Hispanic divas to sign that can speak spanish and english.So maybe they will bring up even more divas.Me and You will just have to agree to disagree on this one.

And this whole deal searching for Hispanic divas is not a way to add to a women's divsion on Smackdown for a women's title, especially if they can't wrestle. Maybe to interview, but that should be it, and this was talked about a long time ago and nothing has happened yet. You can go ahead and think Smackdown should have a women's title with the 5 women they got, but they totally shouldn't. It would be completely wrong and messed up.

Well of course they wouldnt put any new divas on tv that they get yet.They have to learn to Wrestle first.It want be just 5 divas wrestling.Right now there is 4 good divas

Victoria and Natalya=GREAT

Michelle=Decent

And Cherry can really wrestle.She used to wrestle in the Indys in NJ and she was good.This whole thing of her being shy and not wrestling is a storyline,because she can really wrestle.And im sure during the draft maybe a couple more divas will come to SD! and SD can have about 7 Divas.

And nobody is arguing that the Womens Title on Raw will be more prestige.Of course the Womens title on Raw will be more prestige sents its older.Just like the Tag team titles on Raw are the Older,Prestige ones.

Its diffrent with the World titles because both titles are old.As the WWE title on Raw has been around for several decades and the same with the World title on SD as it was defended in NWA and WCW.

But i still believe its a good idea especially if more divas are coming to SD

Raw can have-Beth Phoenix,Mickie James,Maria,Kelly Kelly(i heard she is going to Raw),Katie Lea,Ashley,Layla,Melina? maybe melina to SD

SD-Victoria,Natalya,Michelle,Cherry,Jillian Hall,Candice Michelle,Maryse

That will mean RAW/ECW with 8 divas and SD with 7

I still say that the WWE is going to pull the wool over alot of SD! fans when they make the WWE Women's Championship a Multi-Brand Title.

Okay, u can have your opinion and i'll have mine, but say what you want 2 women's titles would be a diaster. And first of all Candice most likely will not go to Smackdown because the reason she was traded to Raw a long time ago was because of the reason she was to hot for the smackdown network. And Melina is the A-list diva man, she should not go to Smackdown. Smackdown can have the "I'm so dumb i had to have two first names to remember" Kelly Kelly, and they can take Maria and Ashley away for good. I however would love for Maryse to come to Raw, and possibly Cherry.

Vince Really Likes Kelly Kelly and has been wanting to move her to Raw.Candice was to Hot for UPN or CW but she has matured and plus SD is moving to a Whole New Network.Shes not the same as back then.And SD deserves to always have really good divas,it should be even out with both brands having Good wrestlers,then a couple OK girls.Its not fair for SD fans to Loose out on the Divas and i think the WWE sses that now.Its a GREAT IDEA and im sure all the SD Divas are in favor for it.If Natalia went to Raw she would be held back by Beth,Mickie,Melina always in the Spotlight now.So on SD she gets to be the Top Diva.

I do have a clue about this.I have been watching Wrestling since 1997,so i know about wrestling.I also go on WWE fannation forum and everybody there is in Favor of it.SD! needs its own identity and this will help.Torrie Wilson has been pushing for years now to get a SD womens Title.

Well its obvious that we both got into wrestling at the same time considering in 1997 in was 4 and i have watched it since, so sure they need their own identity but they clearly don't need another women's title to do so.

Well we will just have to wait and see how this plays out at Night Of Champions and after the draft.

Yeah because after Night Of Champions and The Draft,we will have all the facts about how the division will look.I have heard major changes are coming to the WWE so maybe they really want to push this,its an idea that Torrie Wilson has been trying to make happen for several years now.

Dumbest idea yet....why can't they just make the WWE Women's Championship an every brand championship? There aren't enough divas for there to be two women's titles. I feel the same way about the Tag Team Titles.

Like i said before this is a VERY VERY Good idea.If this brand split is going to be believeable then SD needs a Womens title,didnt the NWA have a couple of Womens titles back in the day? This is a good idea.Now that ECW will merge with Raw,SD can be totally seperate and have its OWN world title,u.s. title,tag team title,Womens title.For their to only be 1 womens title is not fair because most divas had been going to Raw.Now we can have some good divas on SD!.....

No its not a good idea. They dont just need more divas on smackdown they need more divas all together for there to even be thoughts about another women's title. And we can start this all over and argue again, but u have your opinion and i'll have mine, this is a poor decision in my eyes.

Yes you have your opinion and i have mine.And it is one of the Best things WWE has done in awhile.A big coup for SmackDown!

NWA still does have LOTS of Women's Titles, including the prestigious NWA World Women's Title that is now held by MsChief who def. Awesome Kong for the Gold back in April.

But just so you know, the only company besides the WWF to have 2 belts is WCW.

They had the Women's Heavyweight Title and the Women's Cruiserweight Title.

To make the divas as popular as they should be they need to start...tying them into stables with male superstars...have all the divas show up on all three brands...have one women's championship...have more relationship angles (Maria/Marella)...and most of all...go back to the backside view of Melina doing the splits on the apron instead of all of this from the side/front BS.

Agreed! That we Disagree lol.We will have to sit and wait till after the draft if any divas go to SD!.If split right Raw/ECW could have 8 divas while SD has 7.But we will have to wait and see the next couple of weeks.

I like the idea of a women's division on Smackdown. They have Victoria, Nattie, Cherry, and Michelle, which is a great poster to start with. Beef it up a little, maybe move a couple divas over, and you can have an amazing group.
