I just watched Mr. Monk Bumbs His Head.

Now we all know all the clever ways the writers have led us into seeing the ever growing...well, let's call it a connection growing between Monk and Natalie. You know, the growing relationship?

I am also aware that some out there who hate the idea with a passion, even if the idea is Monk and Natalie admitting their love to end the series. There are none so blind... tongue.gif

Anyway, I just watched the before mentioned episode (again) -- and witnessed the Monk/Cora liplock! Something that, when mentioning the Monk/Sharona liplock, I'd forgot about.

Well, when I saw Cora slip her head into Monk's cupped hands... Wow! Whatta babe!! Whatta liplock!!!

So for all the Monk/Natalie haters, here is the ultimate alternative. Once Monk solves Trudy's murder, he takes a little trip to a little town and marries Cora. He could become Sheriff.

What a beautiful series conclusion, don't you think?

Are you asking us to choose between the two...well, then the obvious choice would be Cora, right. They're both a little...uh, ODD, you know what I mean. And they could totally fulfill each other. There was even an opening. A total opening. Monk doesn't hate Cora. I'll support it. I'm even a little inclined towards Monk and Harold, because all that passion has to come from SOMEWHERE. I think it's UST. Totally UST.

Remember Mr. Monk Visits a Farm? Tony`s wife Brooke Adams was in this one. Brooke seemed to take a shine to Monk. She winked at him, then, danced with him. What if he went back, looked her up and married her? She is in law enforcement. I would like it if he hooked up with his real wife in the end. laugh.gif

I like this idea. She did take a liking to Monk. He didn't seem to mind square dancing with her. He even touched her hands a couple of times, and didn't rub his hands on his jacket like he did with everyone else. If I am not mistaking, she even smacks him at the end of the episode. It would be cool for the show to end with Monk marrying his real wife at the end.

Was there actually a 'liplock'? I wasn't paying that close attention. I thought Monk's memory of Trudy 'saved' him just in the nick of time. Unless I'm wrong ...

Cora said he couldn't be a cop. Seems like a major conflict right there. But then again, if its true love, he won't care. tongue.gif

A little OT, but I did notice that Monk's new water seemed to be Summit Creek so as others have pointed out, that is when he made the change.

It was offscreen, but it was probably HOT.

I think that would be cute if Adrian ended up with Sheriff Butterfield (or even another character played by his wife!). I don't know about the idea of his getting married. To me that seems like about ten years down the road (but I am all for Monk being on for another ten years! biggrin.gif ); He's not anywhere near being over Trudy's death yet.

I still love the scene in "Goes to the Farm" where Brooke hits Tony on the butt. The look he gets on his face is hilarious! laugh.gif

I think the sheriff would love having Monk in town, but really Cora wants a roofer, right? And I don't see that ever happening for Monk.
So I vote for that cute little Sherriff Butterfield. She definitely took a shine to Monk. That little butt slap was really cute!

They did actually kiss. Wouldn't call it a liplock though, more like a tiny peck. But they did kiss. We didn't see him scrubbing his lips or gargling later.

OH NO!!! I definitely would not want to see Monk hook up with Cora! Egads! LOL Monk may have his issues but Cora is just downright weird and unstable. If he HAD to choose between Cora and Natalie I would have to say Natalie in a heartbeat.

IMO, for our "regular" Monk to have a relationship with Cora---he'd need much more than a Bump on the Head...I feel he'd need his head bashed in, or a frontal lobotomy. While I loved the epi, and like Laurie Metcalf in general----this character was waaaaaaay too "out there" for our Monk.

Sheriff Butterfield---now that I can see. I think the differences in the two personalities in this case would compliment each other.
