She's going in for surgery later today and I am really scared. The prep for surgery is moe in-depph then I thought (I can't type though tears) I got to go get some Kleenex...

I've been to the Susan G. Komen web-site and I've been printing information like crazy! I think I've got alot of info. for now.
I'll let you guys know what is next for us.
I found out something though, I'm/we're now what's called a Co- Survivor.....OK.

I just prayed for your mother, and will try to remember her throughout the day.

I'll be sure to keep your mother in prayer...I was wondering if there should be a sort of topic for these things on this board. I think it would be a great idea as we as a group could really be a support to one another.

Cancer has been a buzzword for me lately. But you've got better odds than a lot of people and more than enough room to put up a really good fight if you have to.

You will be okay! My younger sister had breast cancer and cancer in her ovaries (Gee, I hope I spelled that right.) two years ago. The one thing she hated was losing her hair( She wore her hair long.). She didn't even used her wig because it was itchy. Now, her hair grew back with curls. She goes to the doctor every four months. Her doctor told her that her white blood count was low but everything else was great. She tells me she lives her life and is currently trying to get in a nursing program at one of the colleges. She tries not to overload her classes with work (She works as a Unit Clerk at one of hospitals here). Since then, my sister and I have donated money for breast cancer research and encouraging my co-workers to wear pink in October (That is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!). Cancer is a scary word and your mom will be in my prayers. Let us know how everything turns out. Good Luck and remember, you are not alone!

We have to wait and see if the 'Nodes' have any cancer growing in them. (None seen on initial inspection) (why 4 nodes, I don't know)

I am glad to hear that you Mother's surgery went well. I completely understand what you and your family are going through. I lost my Grandmother and Great Grandmother to cancer. I will continue to keep you and your Mother in my prayers.

It is good to hear that your mom's surgery went well, and no I don't have a 75 pound Kitty (although no one knows how fat Garfield is; does he count?). Keep in good spirits. And remember, your mom will be in my prayers.

Oh sweetie I am sorry to hear this! My mother dealt with this issue a couple of years ago and came through with flying colors so please do not give up hope!! I have complete faith that your mother will come through this. Please keep us updated and know that your mother is in our prayers.

I am sad that your Mom has breast cancer. I take blood from a lot of people who are going through cancer treatment. It is a difficult road but cancer treatments are much better now than just a few years ago. God bless and stay positive! She needs all your support!
