I was watching (again) "Mr. Monk and the Sleeping Suspect" and, as you know, after Brian had hit Stott and Randy's car, Randy mentioned that was going to be his first chase, which it didn't happened. So, I tried to rememeber, but I'm 95% sure it hadn't been shown yet.
Well, I just think Randy deserves a car chase, and it must be something very special. Maybe with some special effects. What do you think? Would you have anything in mind?

I think Randy's first car chase should be really, really funny. For one thing, I think Monk should be in the passenger seat, yelling the whole time. You might even want to put Stottlemeyer and Natalie, and maybe another person or two in the back, just to crowd the car. (Maybe even an animal -- chickens would be good, but I'm not sure why they would be there ) I think you need to take him down the streets of San Francisco in a Disney-esque madcap chase, narrowly averting disaster, causing major mayhem, and a lot of mess. And finally you need to hit a large truck that then dumps it's load of the funniest, messiest thing the writers could think of, and it needs to land all over the car.

But then again I watch a lot of kids movies --

Just loved your idea! And Monk yelling the whole time would be very funny . I wonder how he would react (if reacted) in the end!

Come on writers! It's time! Give Randy the chance to show his car abilities!!!

Things they could hit-
1. Milk truck
2. a landscaper's trailer carrying maneur
3. one of those traveling snake exhibits, do they have those anywhere but the South? The ones that have 200+ pound boa constrictors and other snakes and reptiles?I bet they have trucks that carry snakes around to sets in Hollywood. They could hit it and the snakes could come slithering out.
4. Crystal's (from Traffic) rig.
5. Anything anywhere in the vicinity of Garrett Price.
6. A trailer loaded with an old septic tank that is being disposed of.
7. A funeral procession
8. a garbage truck.
9. The bay.

Oh, yeah...

and they have to go through a long, dark tunnel...and over the bay bridge. And they have to narrowly miss someone in one of those big mascot suits -- maybe a giant tooth or something (reminiscent of his fear of dentists)

Oh, and all the roads and highways need to be odd numbered routes.

Randy's 1st "car chase" was very funny...at least he got to sit behind the wheel. Well.... since I like anything that shows Randy demonstrating how good a cop he really is...I want to see a real car chase where Randy can't be out driven & I want to see him nail the bad dude to the wall & back. AND for the Captain to be flat out amazed & proud of him.

I think randy's first car chase should be definately with monk.

Like Natalie's car breaks down so they give them a lift.

Then all of a sudden it's something silly like a missed stop sign and the person won't stop and the chase ensues for like 5 secs and the person stops. It turning to be an old lady who couldn't really hear.

OMG!! Those suggestions are hilarious! The milk truck would be priceless! Even funnier if milk were to spill out of the truck onto Randy's windshield-with Adrian in the front seat! I would LOVE to see that!

The first "car chase" was pretty funny as well-even if they didn't get very far!

Another thought: the suspect goes somewhere that goes up very high, perhaps a very large parking garage or a skyscraper with open windows (well, bad guys tend to do things like that in a pinch), something that would set off Monk's acrophobia. And all the while, he's writing out his will just in case the experience does kill him. Perhaps if they crash, they can then do a Blues Brothers homage, and we find someone's watch (Stottlemeyer's most likely) got broken in the impact.
