The Rise & Fall if MNM
In the history of the SD! WWE Tag Team Champions, no other team has held them more times than Joey Mercury and Johnny Nitro and their manager Melina Perez together they were MNM.
Nitro was demoted to OVW after being Eric Bischoff's Apprentice and Melina who was on RAW with Christy, Candice, Maria and Stacy would soon follow in OVW.
and on April 14, 2005 MNM came on to the scene on Thursday Night Smackdown! and in their very 1st match on April 21, 2005@ Madison Square Garden in New York City, they def. Rey Mysterio and the late Eddie Guerrero and they became the SD! WWE Tag Team Champions and @ SD!'s Judgement Day 2005, they had their 1st PPV Title Defense against Hardcore Holly & Charlie Haas and then they would lose the belts to the NEW LOD Animal & Heidenreich.
On October 28, 2005, they did it again, this time, they won a Fatal 4-Way Tag Team Match when they became, the 2x SD! Tag Team Champions.
but then on December 16, 2005 they would lose the titles again, this time to Rey Mysterio and Batista, but then, 2 weeks later, MNM would regain the gold, this time with the help of The World's Strongest Man Mark Henry.
However, the fall began when MNM lost the Tag Team Titles to London & Kendrick, and Melina would take her frustrations out on Joey Mercury and then, Melina would lose to Jillian Hall and then, she, too would get into a fight with Kristal, and then, Melina and her boyfriend Nitro would soon complain to Teddy Long and they were both fired from SD!, but then, the 2 of them would show up @ RAW where they actually got their start.
However, the trio would soon reunite against The Hardys @ ECW's December to Dismember as well as the 20th Annual WWE Royal Rumble, but their reunion was short-lived, on March 23, 2007 the trio had their last reunion against London and Kendrick for the SD! Tag Team Titles, but they came up short, and on March 26, 2007 just 6 days before Wrestlemania 23, Mercury was fired from the WWE.
and today, Mercury is in ROH, Nitro is now on ECW and Melina is now on RAW.
