Care to quote a specific source? No, I did not think so.
If you want to know what the writers really said, look for the "MESSAGE FROM SCOTT PETERS" thread.
Sigh... Here we go, yet again. I've cited my source to you several times alex, but you continue to ignore it, which is why I'll continue to ignore you.
Here it is again for anyone interested. I'll also quote Scott Peter's comment for you:
QUOTE
To all the wonderful fans of The 4400
It's with great sadness that I pass along to you the information I've just received -- The 4400 has been cancelled. We've had a great time bringing you this story and submersing you in the lives of all these incredible characters. Thank you especially to the folks on the board here whose tireless devotion to the show is nothing short of remarkable. Shout out to Bubba, by the way! I love your posts, man.
I just spoke to Joel and we had a great talk about what we all accomplished and how much we'll miss our family that is our crew and our cast... and our fans. But at least we got to go out with a bang! I had an awesome time directing the last episode. I think I got to make almost every single cast member cry (on camera). How much fun was that?!
So let me raise my metaphorical glass to you all and thank you for being so loyal and so dedicated. I wish we could go on forever, but the party has come to an end. Be well and on behalf of all of us at The 4400 -- thank you, it's been a pleasure.

I can't seem to find the part where he said that the story didn't have to be cut short in order for everything to fit into four seasons. He says they went out with a bang - and they did. But he also says the show was canceled. Guess what? You can't cancel something that's already done.
It's quite obvious from the source I cited, and the source
you cited, that they did not intend for season four to be the end. They wrote the last episode knowing that it
might be the last, but also allowed for the possibility of finishing their story in the following season(s). Since they didn't know they wouldn't have a fifth season until last December, it's pretty clear that they couldn't account for this in season four, which had already aired.
Now, the only reason I even read your post, alex, is because I wasn't logged in and it didn't get blocked by my account preferences. It's doubtful that that will happen again, at least in this thread, and so, I won't be responding to any more of your flame bait here. Your posts continue to remind the more experienced of us that our opposition is still trying, and failing, to stop us from working to bring the show back. Good day to you, and may you find something better to do with your life than spread despair, half-truth and deception to those looking for hope.
