Full Version: New addict to Jag

I have to admit that in the past year I have become completely addicted to JAG. Oddly enough when it was on first run TV I had no interest, and when I caught reruns in syndication, I thought the show was an absolute snoozefest.
But then my routine was abruptly changed. I used to watch Don Imus in the morning as I got dressed for work. Then Don was taken off the air last year. With nothing else to watch started surfing, but then I fell into the bad habit of falling asleep watching Law & order and waking up to JAG. For the first week, I would just stare at the TV and say " How can anyone watch this dribble".... but then I caught an interesting episode with a great plot and then I was hooked. The rest is history.
I now watch it like a religion... every morning while getting ready for work. There are even days I am late for work because I get captivated by an episode, fortunately for me I am the manager and can get away with it on occasion... shhh do not tell anyone... I really enjoy the all of the Christmas episodes and think all of them are great. night watching and the episodes when Mac and Harm are in Paraguay are dynamite. Well going from 0 to 60 in not usual for me as I have always been a bit of a work-a-holic and never got sucked into watching much TV... in fact there are still episodes of Seinfeld and other popular sitcoms I have never seen because I normally do not have much time for TV or getting hooked into a serial.
However Jag has changed that... I love the show so much I recently went on ebay and bought the only two jag novels to cure my addiction.
This is bad... I cannot believe it but I get so much enjoyment out of the show... !!!! And then I stumbled on to the message board room for Jag and now I can talk with other Jag-a-holics. Awesome.

My apologies for the long rant but please understand my relief to see others talking about what has become my favorite show. I only regret it has taken this long to appreciate the show.

Welcome to the board! Thank heavens for reruns because that's how I found JAG, too. It was halfway through Season 9 before I ever watched an episode, and that was on USA. It's a great show.

Welcome to the board! My 20 year old son hated JAG when it first came on....now he watches it with me since I record it every day and I found out that he is going into the service with the hopes of working for the JAG corps. Talk about a complete turn around!

Yeah i caught it half way through season 8. The funny thing was.. i was watching it while season 6&7 would be airing but i didn't know when or where the new episodes were going on...or that they were even happening.

Hi! I'm Bailey aka Mac...more on why I'm called Mac later. I had never seen JAG before in my life, but I watched JAG for the first time at the beginning of June and I LOVED it. After I saw like 3 episodes I was obsessed!!

Then 2 weeks ago I went to summer camp and needed a camp nickname... I picked Mac because she's the kick buttest-character ever. So independent, stubborn, strong-willed...just want I needed for my camp alter-ego!

I've even gotten my sister hooked on JAG! I wake up at 6 every morning to watch it.. and I'll even wake up at 2 tomorrow morning to watch JAG.

My really good friend is an aviation boatswainmate in the Navy. So when I watch my fave show I actually learn some Navy knowledge! Haha lol.
