We did have a thread about this and it was locked because it is about bashing an actress/character...

Two years ago I saw a thread such as this, but it has been locked by the Admin.

LOL! Everyone needs to chill and relax. I think maybe 'We Hate' needs to be changed to 'We Don't Like' and not liking a character is not the same as bashing them. Many people have stated that Lake sucks and even Olivia has been spit on by 'She Who Must Not Be Named.' LOL! I would hope that people would be allowed to express their distaste for a character without being...immature.

I did not hate Dani, I still don't hate Dani, and I don't have any reason to hate Dani. I liked the character and I liked the fact that she was different from Olivia (for those who don't like her because she wasn't Olivia, well duh, she's NOT Olivia! She's her own person). I also felt that her episodes were like a breath of fresh air and it brought back SVU from what it was when it started. All the detectives worked together, Munch had a bigger role then he had done in the past few seasons.

As for Elliot and Dani "romance", well remember, it was Elliot who pulled Dani in for the kiss, not Dani, and...well I don't blame her for giving in although I admit that scene grossed me out as I am such a strong supporter of Elliot's relationship with Kathy. But even that doesn't help me to dislike Dani, she was human and she showed what real life detectives must feel when they first start in Special Victims, being affected by the horrible rape/abuse world.

if there are people on here that are going to complain about this thread just dont come on here. let people hate dani in peace. i hate her 2 bcuz even though elliot pulled her 2 the kiss she could have pulled away but no she kept kissin him bak.

I will switch it to we don't like Dani.... but i do not know how to do it? please post instructions to help me so we can continue this post!!! Oh and one more thing...

I certainly hated her, but it had nothing to do with EO, Elliot or Liv. Dani could never replace Liv, so there were no worries on that front. My hatred for the character was the miscasting of Connie Nielson. She tried too hard to be the tough as nail but compassionate cop. Her scenes came off so fake, and Mad, while you saw the eppies she was in as a breath of fresh air, I saw them as barely watchable. None of them were memorable. I did, however, like Underbelly (BTW, El's body was simply magnificent in this eppy...check him out in the interrogation room - YOWZA), and that was because of MH's cameo and the villian Victor. That guy was absolutely hilarious. I liked him in Escape as well.

I think what TIIC should have done is find a way to get Marcia Gay Hardin for those 6 eppies, and have El date someone outside the unit. We know he's not shy. Snitch and Underbelly proved that. MGH had great chemistry with Liv and El when she worked with both separately. She would have worked. She is a wonderful actress, and I would certainly watch her in MH"s absence.

I am so glad that Dani will never return because if she did, my SVU days would be over.

Not that I like Dani, however I must admit, she did an absolute job as a police officer.

She got on my nerves.

what i think with el and DB is that she tired to make him her husband, and el needed someone to be close to, so in other words, he wanted her to be his partner, liv



they both tired to replace eachother with someone that they missed and luved and ya i said it

she was too much like elliot and it bugged me in the fact that he only knew her for like 2 wks and he showed her affection and like he cared for her, when he didnt even do that with liv, i think he didnt becasue him and olivia actually had a future together, dani, not so much....


she just looks like she woke up, threw clothes on that were lying on the floor, and did that ponytail thing she does with her hair, and staggered out the door, no, thats not getting ready for work, the last time i checked


it was the precious olivia line that got me, she didnt even the know the women, thats what p!ssed me off about her, but other than that, there was no future for dani and elliot, other than that, ya, maybe she wasnt SO bad.

I don't think Dani tried to make Elliot her husband in any way. I think she tried to have Elliot see things her way of communicating with the victim, her own techniques. Yes her husband was a cop but I don't think he was ever a SVU detective and she never really said much about him other then his murder. I don't think she was over him though but maybe kissing Elliot helped her to start moving on with her life. If she had been serious in thinking that Elliot was right for her (and vice versa) enough to start a love relationship, then she (he) would've pursued more and Elliot would be saying things like "Dani and I are going out for dinner" on the show.

I like both Olivia and Dani. Why? Not because I want one of them to hook-up with Elliot, but they are great as svu cops!

There is a huge difference between what was said about Dani and what was said about Lake and you know that my friend...you can't compare the two...and by no means did that person you mentioned ever say she hated Olivia, she said she hates what TIIC did to her character...there is a difference...I didn't care for her episodes, but I never hated or disliked the character...

I know. She could have broke away from the kiss and said NO!!! That would have been better. And by the way, I am a HUGE E/O FAN!!! When they kised on Underbelly, I threw a pillow acroos the room, almost broke the clock, and puked.

You are splitting hairs. However, I don't wish to see a bunch of meaningless posts about that meaningless idiot Dani, but I don't mind discussing why people didn't like her or anyone else for that matter.

We've got a 4 month dry spell ahead of us, so if people still want to post until September, we may have to be a bit creative.

When someone says they don't think Adam Beach made his character believable and then saying he doesn't belong in SVU can be compaired to the same feelings with Dani. The only difference is that shippers are not involved. Come on Irish...you know she doesn't like her character. She bashes her every chance she gets. By saying she's a bad cop is enough for me to feel like she is bashing her because I am a fan of Mariska and her character Olivia. The writers have everything to do with the way Adam Beach is portrayed as well as Mariska Hargitay. To me, the examples are the same. But...to each-is-own.
