Yes, I own this dot com, but I was just on the board reading different posts, and it hit me why don't I let everyone know in case they are interested in talking to Fellow Monk Fan Friends while posting on forum, and that they can talk for free.

I know right from the start when I joined the forum in January of this year I wanted to talk with a couple of people, and had thought of asking if they would download free software so we could talk!! Now, I wish I would have.
I know for a fact I can not call around the other side of the world with my cell phone!

Two years ago, I got started with all this, and founded startcallingfree.com because I could not afford to call or receive calls from my daughter in law and granddaughter in Canada from the United States. Cingular the cell phone service that I was using at the time wanted .75 per minute as an outgoing call or incoming call (didn't matter) and this was on top of my monthly paid service minutes!! I was stunned. And that very same day two years ago now... is when I founded http://www.startcallingfree.com to share with everyone I could. For me it was, and has been a God's Blessing. For two years I have been able to talk to them, where as since cell phones have taken over regular landlines with then some what affordable long distance service we have been only emailing, and writing via snail mail ...lol... but not no more, WE TALK!! And my wonderful loving daughter in law is a talker! We usually talk for 5 hours at a time ...lol!! I love that we can talk now!! I love them.

So, for you guys that are interested I am just throwing it out there for you!!

I knew that when I posted this topic I was taking the chance of some people being mean spirited, but went ahead and posted this topic to share my story for anyone out there that has had the same experience calling loved ones, but "MOSTLY
so that Monk Fans could afford to talk to each other!" I thought it was a great idea for those that wanted to.

The posting was from the heart, not meant to offend anyone. And not meant as a commercial that is why I put that out there that I owned dot com, so, as not meant to seem like a commercial, but to share.

To each is own as to how others would read this posting, but was meant with all good intentions.

Yeah, well I can't seem to hit 'add reply' without offending someone. I am sorry for interrupting your commercial. Please continue. I'll delete the offensive posts.

I didn't see anything mean spirited. But, what I've used before, is you can plug in
a head phone set with the voice speaker (sorry, tired) into your head phone
plug on your monitor. My brother and I talked that way with each other while on
the computer. It was free, and another way of using free ways of calling
each other.

Can bunches of people all talk at the same time or is it like a phone where you can only talk to one person at a time? There are programs that gamers use like ventrilo and Teamspeak where people can pop in and out anytime, is it like that?
