Chapter 1: Jane Doe - 6 Months
Olivia and Elliot sat at their desks buried in paperwork, yet again! It was a Thursday afternoon and it had been an incredibly slow day. Elliot looked at his partner and saw how completely absorbed she was in her paperwork. Quickly he grabbed a blank piece of paper and crumpled it up before throwing it at her. Olivia didn't react and just continued writing. So, he grabbed a pencil and turned the eraser in the direction of her head. Just as he was about to throw it, and without looking up, she said, "Don't even think about it."
Elliot laughed "How'd you know?
Olivia finally looked up at him and grinned smugly. "I can read minds."
Elliot barely finished speaking when Chester and Fin walked into the bullpen after giving evidence in court. They had finished their testimony a good three hours go but Casey had kept them there all day just in case. As a result they were tired and cranky when they got back.
"How'd it go?" Olivia asked turning her chair around to face them.
"Guilty of all counts," Fin replied proudly.
"How long did they get?" asked Elliot curiously.
"18 to 25," Chester answered as he moved to get a cup of coffee.
"Not bad! So Casey came through, good on her," Elliot said, slightly distracted by … … … … … A silence fell over the group as they reflected on the case which had just concluded, one to the worst they'd had in a long time.
A few minutes later Captain Cragen came out of his office and walked towards Elliot and Olivia's desks, they looked up and stared at him expectantly.
"We've got a case," Cragen explained. "A Jane Doe at Columbia Hospital."
"A Jane Doe? She unconscious?" asked Elliot thinking that's why she didn't have a name.
"No, she's very much alive and kicking," Cragen replied.
"How old is she, Captain?" Olivia asked, grabbing her jacket.
"Six months old."

Well, that's all for now! What do you think?
