I am a huge fan of USA; I absolutly love Psych, Monk, and Law & Order: SVU. It would be so wonderful if you could add Moonlight to your superb listing of character shows. Mick St. John and Beth Turner are both fantastic characters who could really add an extra bit of flare to your primetime viewing - no matter what day or time I will follow Moonlight where ever it goes!!! Moonlight is the best show television right now. It has the best cast, the best story line, everything about it awesome. I would had preferred CBS keep it, but if USA or another network picks it up, it is their lose. They need a new president, the current one is not doing her job very well.

I was absolutely appalled that CBS would cancel a show with such a loyal fanbase! There are 8 million of us!! "Moonlight" was(is) the reason that I get through each week, it's what I look forward to, I watch it live, then rewatch the tivo'ed version a few times. It's a great show with lots of potential. The writer's strike really hurt "Moonlight" as far as the plot points that had to be cut due to time, but there are so many wonderful things about this show that just need a little more time to mature; the history behind Josef and Mick's bloodlines, what happened to Coraline, the list of Vamps that Talbot got a hold of, the multitude of flashbacks that you can get to with characters as steeped in history as Josef, the new dynamic of Mick and Beth's relationship, Sara Whitley, what will happen if one of them has to relocate, ect... I really think that it deserves a second season, and so do the fans!!
I'm sure I speak for the majority of the "Moonlight" viewers when I say that, whatever network it may end up on, that we will follow this show to the ends of the earth!
Well, that's my two cents, PLEASE PICK UP MOONLIGHT!!

Dear USA Network,
We all know that the Internet has made television once more into a wild and wooly frontier where nobody knows, from day to day, who will get shot, who will get hot, and who will not. Networks have to throw away the book and try to ride the crest of viral ratings-surfing. Nielsen is OLD. DVR is IN. Networks need to catch the wave as quickly as they can.
MOONLIGHT has a rabid fan base and could generate income, goodwill, advertising bucks, and kudos in the new infotainment brokerages. USA could pick up Joel Silver's vampire show and run with it all the way to Monk-like solidity.
Please think about. Nobody thought Monk would occupy the niche it occupies, way back when it first started.
Take a chance and pick up MOONLIGHT. Make it work for you. The writers, producers and actors will not let you down.
It's a smart move.

Moonlight has a huge fan base who loves the show and wants to see it come back for a 2nd season. We need another network to give it a chance due to CBS's failure to realize it's potential. The fans will not give up on this show, please take a chance. Just look at Seinfeld, it did not happen overnight for them, it took time to take off and look at their success....they are one of the most loved shows of all time. It takes time for people to catch on, but it will happen if the show truly has potential and Moonlight has that potential.

Dear USA
I have long been a fan of your network. You have great programming: Monk, Psych, 4400, Dead Zone, Burn Notice, The Starter Wife (glad its getting its own series) and I am looking forward to the new series In Plain Sight. Your network has consistently given me pleasure and I totally agree with your motto, "Characters Welcome." I even changed from cable to DirectTV so I could watch your amazing programs in HD.
In my opinion, Moonlight would be a great "character" to welcome to your network. I would absolutely watch a new year of this program, which does not resemble Forever Knight or Angel. It became one of my favorite new shows this last season and I feel that the People's Choice should have a second season.
Thank you for considering this show for your unique network.

QUOTE (Phis @ May 18 2008, 03:27 PM)

Find me a better fanbase. To show their support, instead of sending silly things to the networks the fans chose to give back ... they organised a blood drive with the help of the American Red Cross! Who would not want such a fanbase?
Moonlight retained its viewers after the WGA strike.
Moonlight is a very popular show despite its poor advertising.
Moonlight won the Peoples Choice Award
Moonlight is not that expensive compared to other shows
Moonlight will add about 8 million people to your ratings!
I couldn't say it better. This is a fan base that is loyal, but also compassionate, innovative and original -- To me that is a perfect definition of a "character"! USA, please consider picking up this extraordinary show. According to message boards on CBS, I hear that set demolition at CBS has been put off another week (as of 5/18). So there is still time to acquire original set designs and components as well. It would be a great addition to the already wonderful, original shows on USA.

May 18 2008, 07:51 PM
Dear USA, I have had a very difficult time getting on your boards - you must be swamped with Moonlight fans trying to log on and tell you what an awesome show this is.
I really appreciate your willingness to sponsor a board that supports a show from another network. As you have surmised, the Moonlight fan base is awesome in its support for our beloved vampire program - the cast and crew have been great to us and we have tried to show them just how much we appreciate them.
If you would pick up this show that CBS has so foolishly let go, you would win the heart and soul of Moonlight's fan base. It is a wonderful show, and I know that many have tried to lay out all the reasons why you should pick it up. So, I won't repeat what they have said.
But, I do want to point out that it is possible that as many as 1/2 of the viewers do not even know this show was cancelled because CBS advertised the last episode as the 'season' finale, rather than the 'show' finale. Now, all these other viewers, who are not aware of the fight the online community is waging to get the show picked up by another network, are going to be really scratching their heads in wonder next fall, when they tune into CBS at 9:00 to watch Mick, Beth and Josef only to find that they are gone, poof, vanished. CBS is even showing reruns of this show this summer. Well, that would be good for the network that picks up the show because it will just prove that there is a fan base, even for reruns. And since, one thing that can be said about the USA network is that it ADVERTISES its shows all the time, the fans who don't already know, would then know where to find their favorite vamps - on USA! Despite CBS's failure to thoroughly advertise the return of the show after the writer's strike, the fans came back stronger after the writer's strike and helped CBS win Friday night 4 weeks in a row beginning April 25 and win the 9:00 time slot, as well. It is beyond me why they would want to cancel the winner of the Best New Drama in the People's Choice Awards. But, they did. And, now 8 million viewers of both sexes and all age groups are desperately hoping that a savy network like USA will pick up the show.
Please consider picking up the show. You will not be sorry! Nor will your advertisers. Believe me, we are not like Jericho fans - we LOVE our MICK and BETH and JOSEF. We also think Mr. Silver conceived and produced an exceptional show and the original writers, Trevor Munson and Ron Koslow, did an excellent job, as well. The writers on the last episode also did a great job and gave the viewers what they wanted in EVERY way. There was even a cliff hanger just waiting to be picked up in the 2nd season. So, please take us on! We need a new home.

If Moonlight could be saved by USA, it would be AWESOME!!!
I love Monk & Phsyc anyway, so it would be perfect lf I could watch Moonlight on USA too. Also, I watch movies they're playing there.
Thank you in advance USA for taking Moonlight in along with its 8 millions fans.

Please bring back Moonlight. CBS made an awful decision to try to bring in a younger audience and attract more women to their network. What they fail to realize is how many younger viewers there are and how many WOMEN watch the show! We are 8 million strong just in the Nielsen ratings, and many of us do not participate in those ratings. We are more than willing to follow Moonlight to USA and our pocketbooks will follow suit!
Consider what Moonlight can do for your network!

"Characters Welcome?" Well please consider welcoming Mick St. John. Vampire. PI. Immortal. Hates what he is. Angst-ridden. Guilt-ridden. In love with a human. Devastatingly sexy.
I don't know what your main demographic here is, but if you would like 18-49 year old women by the millions, give the show a shot. Vampires are alluring, and Alex O'Loughlin simply oozes that George Clooney-Johnny Depp undefineable something that make women weak at the knees.
Eight million viewers tuned in at CBS, and your viewership could be similar. Please give this magical show a home.

Please consider adding Moonlight to your lineup. It is a fantastic show with an extremely loyal fan base that will follow it anywhere. I just love the show and watch it faithfully each week.

I don't normally do this type of thing, but for this show it is definitely worth it. I am an avid movie and television watcher. I know the good shows on Direct TV, Cable and regular TV. I watched Law and Order and CSI when they first came on. They both have now have 3 series. I like Brothers and Sister and Hot Shots on ABC. I loved Cane on CBS, but it was cancelled and also Shark which I heard is getting canceled. I love Lipstick Jungle on NBC. On HBO I loved The Wire, Oz and my all time favorite "Sex and the City", which by the way has a movie coming out this month. On Showtime I like Weeds, Californication and Dexter and the Tudors. On FX "Damages" this is one of the shows that keep you on the edge, because you can't wait to see the next twist and turn of the show. I listed all of the previous shows to let you know that I know good television.
MOONLIGHT IS ON THOSE SHOWS THAT I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE. IT IS MY FAVORITE OUT OF ALL OF THE OTHER SHOWS THAT I JUST LISTED. I WATCHED THE 1ST SEASON ON TELEVISION AND AGAIN ON CBS.COM.
MOONLIGHT HAS A HUGE FAN BASE AND IT IS GROWNING DAILY. THIS IS DEFINITELY CBS'S LOSS IF YOU PICK UP THIS SHOW, IT WILL BE YOUR GAIN. THIS SHOW HAS SOMETHING FOR EVERYONE, EVEN THE KIDS. THERE IS ACTION, VAMPIRES AND IT IS A LOVE STORY. THIS SHOW MUST GO ON!!!!!

Just adding my voice to the Moonlight chorus here. I'd LOVE to see it on USA, and it certainly deserves a place on a network with character driven storylines such as yours. I don't believe it should be pidgeonholed as a "niche" show, and can only add even more quality to your lineup....Please consider it, and I GUARANTEE you won't be disappointed if you pick it up

I just love moonlight! It's my all time favorite show. Moonlight would be the perfect addition to the shows I already watch on USA (Psych, Monk, Burn Notice, and I'll be checking out In Plain Sight too). I hope USA gives this show a chance, there's so much that show can offer.
