I am just a 3rd grade teacher living in Utah and have never ever posted to blogs and written in forums etc, until CBS canceled Moonlight. I did not think that it would be since Moonlight had so many positive things going for it, as the first post says.
I am a fan to the end. ALthough everyone knows CBS made a mistake, I know, as many others will agree with me, CBS's loss is another networks gain. Like the first post said all the odds are in favor of whoever picks up this awesome show. I know I am one in thousands who has the same love for Moonlight as I do but 8 million fans can not be wrong. So I hope USA you become Moonlight's new home. It is definitly a good fit!!
Although I have all the episodes on My TiVo I can not watch them. Every time I start to watch I cry. I have not been able to do this since I found out the news. I know most people would think that is silly, like my husband, but I can not explain how much this show means to me, probably only my other Moonlight fans.
Also once the DVD come out in I believe September it will show any network what a loyal fan base Moonlight has. I will be there at Midnight to buy my copy. Although we can not get new episodes at least we had one season. But Moonlight fans will not give up until I hope USA you will allow Moonlight to be on your air ways.
I love Moonlight

Please USA consider our request of moving Moonlight to your network. As everyone has said so far it is a win win for your network. You would be gaining at leaset 8 million viewers to your network and I know that your advertisers would love that. I hope you will look at all the pros, I would say cons but I can not think of any, and talk to Joel Silver and the others who brought Moonlight to us every Friday night. I know we are not TV exec and such we are just a STRONG fan base that will go anywhere Moonlight goes so 8 million people can not be wrong.
Thanks for your consideration.

It would be an honor to watch this show on your network. I know that you have read all about the pros on bringing this show to your network. I hope that you will consider our plea and bring our vamps back to life!

Guess what everyone...
We made it on to Jeopardy as a clue!!!
The subject was TV shows and the clue was Mick St. John is a vampire private investigator
Of course the question is What is Moonlight!
I couldn't believe it when I saw it. I had to tell everyone as soon as I could.
I think it is significant since some of the other shows were Prison Break and Friday Night Lights.
The down side was that non of the contestants knew the question but Alex Trebeck said Moonliht very enthusiastically!!!
So, USA , I hope this shows that the show made enough of an impact to hit th Jeopardy board!!!

Hey Moonlighters
I was watching my local news this morning, unfortunately it was on the CBS affiliate, good program sucks that it is on CBS. I saw the trailer for the Mentalist which is taking the Friday night slot that our beloved Moonlight had.
Couple of things to note, the lead actor is ALSO an Aussie, poor bugger! He is a detective of sorts more along the line of the CSI /Criminal Minds type of detective - Sound familiar?
But the part of the trailer that struck me so and made my blood boil was the last shot - it said
Even Sexier - like those of us that enjoyed Moonlight would not take notice of this? PLEASSSE spare me. I think we all should write to dear Nina at CBS and tell her - this is not as sexy and this is a poor substitute for the real thing - MOONLIGHT...
raspberry to you Nina T.

Moonlight has the rare ability to steal hearts after only one episode! I haven't seen sparks fly like that, between two characters, since Rhett and Scarlet!!! In addition to the heart pounding romance, Moonlight deals with immortality, betrayal, rejection, and honor, so it can be taken on many levels; children, as well as, adults enjoy it. We, the fans, returned each week, because Moonlight also features enjoyable, wondrous, adventures. The entire cast and crew conducted us on incredible journeys, and we want more! So, we are waiting in line, with our tickets in hand, for more romance, drama, and fun! Come on USA, cash our tickets $$$!!!

I really hope you will consider picking up Moonlight. It has truly changed my life. I know that sounds weird, but it has had a huge impact and changed me in such a positive way. It changed my thinking and really helped me through a horrible time in my life that I wasn't sure I would make it through. It is such an amazing show with amazing characters. Mick St. John is incredible. His morals, concern for others, etc. has made him a hero to so many people. Watching him and the way he processes things and deals with certain issues really helped me think differently and change me. That is amazing in itself.
I have never had cable tv, but as of this coming Monday I am getting it and am sincerely hoping you will pick this fabulous show up so we can all continue to watch it and be inspired by the great story and characters. There is so much more to this than cute actors. It hits completely so deep in the soul and really becomes emotional. Thank you so much for your consideration of this. I will follow Moonlight anywhere!!

This is an excerpt from an interview done with Nina Tassler today - You stupid ignorant bi-atch!
You have not read the emails if you really think this was all about Alex. It was also about the story line. You can't read very well Ms Tassler -
See the excerpt below. ----
What Tassler questions is the nature of that dedication.
"The response to
Moonlight was actually more actor-centric, so I think it certainly measures our decision on the show," Tassler says. "Right now, like I said, I don't question the choice we made. I'm not getting as much mail and most of those comments were actor-centric."
What she's implying is that in their teeth-gnashing and garment-rending, protesters came across as fans of Alex O'Loughlin, rather than fans of the show.
She contrasts the tone of the
Moonlight discussion with the campaign that resurrected another low-rated CBS drama, a little show called
Jericho.
"You know what's interesting? Most of the e-mails and viewer mail on
Jericho were very show-centric," Tassler insists. "There was a marked contrast. Look. I went online and I read all those things. Trust me, when you're a Queen Ranger, you have to. But like I said, most of the comments on Jericho were really about the show and every detail about the show, where mostly with
Moonlight, it was about Alex."

So did everyone just give up because Queen Nina stuck yet another daggering the heart of the Moonlight fans?
Where is your spirit? Where is the fight left in all of you for this wonderful story? You know if she really wanted to make sure it stays dead, she would just say "no comment". She can't admit she made a huge mistake. After all this is the "Nina Tassler", she can't ever be wrong.......
So what if she is an arrogant stupid bi-&*$ - There are 8+ million of us and we can all give her raspberries!
DON'T Stop fighting!
Love always wins.....

I've been having a hard time getting on this site and posting lately. Finally, I got it all sorted, I think.
I'm still in the fight. Sent Nina a letter that she was wrong about fans only caring about Alex. I think we need to take out an ad in a newspaper. We've had ZERO voice in the media. We need a loud voice.
I keep writing to USA as well, asking them to please be a hero and pick up our show. The fans WILL follow the show anywhere it goes. I can't wait to get the DVDs and everyone I know is getting a copy of it for Christmas too.

Moonlight is without a doubt, one of the best TV shows I've seen in years. If it had been given a longer run than 16 episodes, I believe the fan base would have multiplied many times. Moonlight certainly has everything I love, and it's fit for the entire family. I hope to see it again, because my nights are darker without Moonlight.

BUT we are searching for a new home for Moonlight and will bring our dollars for the sponsors that take on our show. The show was well written, the characters and storylines were well developed and interesting. The chemsitry between the shows leads was off the charts. The characters made me interested in what happened to them. I found myself falling in love with the show and its story. Please, Please, Please bring back our moonlight. I have just started watching Burn Notice and I'm really enjoying it, not sure how I missed the first season. I think Moonlight would be a perfect compliment it and your other programming. Moonlight won the 2007 People's Choice Award for Best New Drama and has won over 7+ million fans. It has everything: Humor, romance, action and a fantastic cast and writers. Please consider adding Moonlight to your network, you wont regret it.

Hey,
Just want to keep this on top of everyones list. If USA does not pick this up, they are missing a great thing. However I am not giving up on some network picking this up sometime. Lots of mid-season replacement slots will be open. If Alex and the crew can pull it together again I would love to see them back on another network.
Then again I would consider watching anyone of the 3, Alex, Sophia or Jason on another program, their abilities as actors would draw me to another show. They play the characters so well.
Of course there will never be another show like Moonlight.... I love the show for the escape from reality it provided weekly.

Dear USA,
Thank you for continuing to listen to the many fans of MOONLIGHT. I hope it means your network is considering picking it up.
I have stated before and will do so again. The storyline potential on this show is wide open. Each character can be fully enriched by telling their back story. For example, Joseph is several hundreds of years old. What extrodinary historical things he has seen! There is a lot that could be shown through his eyes. Coraline is related to King Louis XVI. So much could be expanded on there.
I was offended when the CBS executive stated that from her perspective the MOONLIGHT fans were only interested in Alex O'Loughlin. I don't think that is completely true. Sure, he is a very nice looking leading man but that is not the only piece the kept bringing the fans back every Friday. He is not the only reason the show won it's time slot week over week. He is not the only reasonfans waited with baited breath for the writer's strike to be over and then come back to the show full force.
All of the characters and their stories are what kept us coming back and they are what are keeping us campaigning to save the show. The story line was something fresh in comparison to the reality shows, game shows, and (as much as I like CSI) all the CSI franchises. It was a fresh drama that made you feel connected to the charaters and their development through the show.
I think it is such a shame that such great writing and acting is being wasted and replaced with more of the same old same old.
USA, your network has continually over the years tried to reach audiences that "mainstream" media has ignored. Your network is successful because it seeks out new and unigue programming. I really believe that MOONLIGHT could add to your success.
Again, Thank you fo letting the fans of MOONLIGHT continue tovoice their opinion.
Sincerely,

USA by bringing Moonlight to your network, it would help your ratings moonlight season 2 because it's a great competitor show to blood ties. The shows are very similar, the difference is different people, different storyline and it'll bring a larger following. I watch USA network almost everyday and I would love to see Moonlight on USA it would definitely keep me coming back for more and more and more. There was a Moonlight convention this year 2008 and It was a success and there are plans for another next year. The fanbase is unbelieveable for this show, there was a cliffhanger in the season finale and I want to see what happens next and without a season 2 I'll be left up in the air wondering what would of happened between Mick and Beth (Vampire/human romance relationship) It's unlike any vampire show I've ever seen, this show can't die, please help reunite the characters Mick and Beth on your network. Thank you.

I really only watched TV now and then. I would catch a show by watching that night and channel surfing.
Since I saw the first episode of MOONLIGHT I made it a point to watch, and looked forward to each new episode.
I became a big fan of the Friday night line-up because of watching MOONLIGHT. I have since lost interest and no longer watch TV on Friday nights. If you were to pick-up this wonderful show, I would be sure to watch your network that night, and become aware of your other shows as well.

Hey USA Network,
Don't you hear us calling you? We are a very persistent crew and try to be polite. We do appreciate being part of the USA Characters lounge. We would love for Moonlight to be one of your Characters.....
For all the Moonlighters -
Don't give up. You never can tell when some smart network executive will want to consider Moonlight as a mid season replacement and bring all those sets out of moth balls. I think that no matter what Alex, Sophia, Jason and Shannon do, they would still want to be a part of this should it get picked up again.

I registered and logged on here solely to ask USA to please consider picking up Moonlight!! I work as a second-grade teacher and many of my co-workers also love Moonlight. I was shocked and very sad to learn that CBS had cancelled it because it is such a good show with great writing, interesting characters, a wonderful mystery and romance, and, let's face it, HOT actors. The soundtrack is even wonderful! I've never written in to defend a TV show in my life, but Moonlight is just too good to let go. I think it would be a very smart move for USA to pick it up. I occasionally watch USA programming, but I would definitely watch it much more if Moonlight was on its list of programs. PLEASE consider picking it up USA, before it is too late!

Perfect Friday Night - Ghost Whisperer and Moonlight. If CBS doesn't value a fantastic new show that won the People's Choice Award ( does that not mean anything???) then please consider making Moonlight your own. Built in fan base that will bring revenue to USA. I'll be there every night it's on as well as becoming an eternal viewer of your programming. I have followed from forum to forum and voted in poll after poll to keep Moonlight on air. While CBS's decision to cancel the show illustrates the need for intelligent life in executive management; I believe USA has the business acumen to see a golden opportunity when it is handed to them. Organizations are in business to make money. Moonlight's fanbase brings 8+ million consumers with dollars they are more than willing to spend. When a network has a show that brings in the ratings that Moonlight did for CBS the network can demand more dollars for the advertising slots, hence more money. USA Network has quality programming (something CBS or many of the other networks do NOT have) and it's syndication programming is one of the best around.
Most network programming has become an abyss of reality shows that have no basis in reality, bad comedies, boring dramas, and so much drivel that only the local news is worth watching (only for the local weather!). I have little to no time for TV viewing since I work full time, go to school and take care of a family. What time I do have I spend over 90% of watching cable channels. My only real weakness and passion is the magic and lore of vampires. The mystery, romance, excitement, and danger is as much of a life force for me as blood is for the vampire.
Moonlight is a delight, escape, passion, and pleasure all combined in one hour of escape from the demands of work, school and home. How can one not appreciate having the loyalty and consumer dollars tied to one hour of programming?
Who but a fan can appreciate the work that the cast and crew put into to one hour of programming that gives so much to so many? Who but a fan will purchase anything from a mouse pad to long black overcoat if it means showing support for one hour of programming?
CBS failed in its marketing of Moonlight, not only with general promotion but also in the merchandising. Anyone with any business sense at all knows the dollar potential that can be made in merchandising alone.
The cast of Moonlight have more than proved they are the "People's Choice".
My hope is that the USA Network makes Moonlight their choice!

Dear USA,
I am a fan of House, Law and Order, and Monk. I love this network. Today it was announced that CBS is cancelling Moonlight. The devastated fans are looking for a home for Moonlight. I am petitioning/requesting/begging USA to buy Moonlight and give us a season 2. I believe Moonlight will benefit USA for the following reasons:
1) It is a People's Choice Award winning show that will lend more prestige to USA.
2) It has an 8 million viewer strong fan-base who will gladly follow the show to USA and promote loyalty to USA and its other shows.
3) It has a cult-like following that has no qualms about evangelizing the show and bringing in more word-of-mouth advertising for USA.
Thank you for listening to my heartfelt appeal.
I would love to see Moonlight come to USA. I agree its also one of my favorite networks. No longer watching anything on CBS. I am not really interested in the many of the "reality" shows. I enjoy real life everyday. I just want an interesting, fun-filled, 'take my mind off everything else' kind of show. Moonlight fills the bill perfectly. The stars of the show are matched up well. Alex pulls off the Vamp look beautifully. So USA count me in. You have had the fortitude to pick up some incredible shows that should never have been canceled in the first place. Please pick up Moonlight. Remember how well Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel did. Marketed correctly you could have one of your biggest sucesses with Moonlight. There's an incredible love of anything related to the mythical lore of vampires. Past historical success of vamp shows tells it all. We needed a fresh perspective on the vampire world. Moonlight attacks it from a whole new angle. Never thought I would like any vampire show as much as Angel but Moonlight replaces a big hole left by the loss of Angel.

[color="#800080"][font="Comic Sans MS"]I totally agree with you and was VERY upset when they cancelled Moonlight - it wasn't given a chance and was thrown to the side because of the interference of the writers strike - it was a rare thing - my daughters and I watched AND LOVED that show TOGETHER - we had something to enjoy together
I also wish they would pick up BLOODTIES - it was also an awesome show

ARE THE NETWORKS PREJUDICED AGAINST VAMPIRES OR SOMETHING????
