He would move to USA and we will follow him Beth Josef,et al. This show is sensual, thought provoking, exciting, soooo well written. First Jericho, now Moonlight. Who are the knuckleheads who run programming at CBS.

Oh by the way, did I mention it was sensual.

PLEASE USA! TY Your Mama

All,
I have never written about a tv show, but am SO hooked on Moonlight, that I had to voice my opinions. I was devastated when I heard that CBS had cancelled it. What were they thinking?!?

PLEASE bring Moonlight back. The show was brilliantly written/acted/shot and was one of the best shows I have seen in years. I'm so happy to find out that I'm not alone in this.

I'm sending snail mail this week to all the addresses I can find.

Vampire solidarity!

I, like many others, signed up to the USA forum just so I could express my wishes to see Moonlight on USA. I am a 41 year old female who is not "into" the vampire genre. The only reason I even tuned in to watch it was because my husband wanted to. I fully expected not to like it and make fun of my husband. I guess he gets the last laugh on this one! We both love the show!!

I really enjoy your programs Monk and Psych. I hope you will consider adding Moonlight to the mix.
borntobemybaby
I am so hoping that USA network will pick up Moonlight. It is such a great show and there are so many fans attached to it. We love it. I was so happy to learn that so many of the shows I like are on the USA channel. I loved the Dead Zone and I am currently watching Battlestar Gallectica and I am so sad it is the last season. However, if Moonlight is picked up I will be over joyed. Thank you for letting us post on your web site as well. We Moonlight fans really want to believe there is hope that our great show will be picked up. It deserves a new home.

love you network.

The thought of Moonlight on the USA network is totally exciting!!! Please, Please pick-up my number one show Moonlight...I just don't know how I'll manage without my weekly dose.

I hope usa will add moonlight to their lineup!!! 8 million fans can't be wrong!!

I would be so happy & grateful if USA or your sister company Sci-Fi picked up Moonlight. I watched this show from the premier thru the 16th & last show on 5/16, and was just crushed to hear CBS has cancelled it. I just don't understand the whole thing, & I just want Moonlight back.

Wherever it goes, I will be a loyal & faithful viewer, & I will never watch CBS again. If this is the way they treat a series that is the best I have ever seen, why even bother? They have disrespected the viewers and the cast, and it was the only show they had on that was worth watching.

Thank you for giving the Moonlight fans a chance to speak in this forum, and please, please pick up Moonlight.
vampme
Dear USA Network,

I hope all of the posts here are making a difference in your decision to pick up MOONLIGHT.

This is a quality show. The characters really pull you in and make you feel a part of the show not just an observer.

I have been tracking information about the Save MOONLIGHT campaign all over the web. Some are saying that the fans of MOONLIGHT are a fringe group and maybe a little unhinged.

I know these same thoughts have been expressed through the decades about fan groups such as those who have followed Star Trek. When Star Trek first came out, many people looked down on it. Look at the huge franchise that became.

MOONLIGHT deserves a real chance to fully develop the characters to their maximum potential. There are so many angles and back stories that can make this show last many seasons. The actors have done a great job bringing the characters to life.

I liken this show to a book I purchased 13 years ago that is still to this day my absolute favorite story. For 13 years I have revisited the characters because they are that good. MOONLIGHT has struck that same chord with me.

Please consider adding this wonderful show to your fantastic lineup. It will make an already great lineup of quality programming even better.
msjk2766
Well Said Vampme,
I had not thought about the characters and the plot being like a good book you can revisit to escape the reality we all must face. For one hour each week I could escape with Mick and Beth. Makes me appreciate the great husband I have and the wonderful marriage we have because of our friendship.
I can still be swept away by that wonderful smile of Alex O'loughlin's, even just for an hour or be charmed by the wit of Jason Dorhing's character.
I have never been so moved by a TV program. This is the 1st program I have ever written about and pleaded with a network to pick up. That is not usually me. But that is how strongly I feel about this program.
Please USA, don't let Moonlight fade away. It's a money maker, just give it a chance. We aren't crazed lunatics, we are average hard working people that just want to enjoy and hour of escape and romance and friendship with some great actors that bring to life some wonderful characters.

Thanks for listening!

Please consider adding this wonderful program to your programming line up. I would love to see it on your network i already watch The Jag reruns and I am renting the first season of Burn Notice as soon as it it released to DVD.

I would love to see Moonlight back on the air on your network or SCI-Fi.

Please pick up Moonlight.

This is only the second letter I've ever written to a network - again pleading for the life of a TV show that I loved and didn't want to lose. (First time: I was part of the effort to save Star Trek - yes, I'm dating myself). This show has great characters, plot lines that were just developing to their full potential, and some wonderful actors. It would be a great addition to your lineup.

USA, please pick up this show - don't let it become yet another of those "brilliant but cancelled." I'm already a USA fan (Burn Notice and CI are current addictions) - just give me another reason to spend my time with your network... thank you.

USA...thank you for letting us post our messages. It offers some relief to express my feelings over the horrible disappointment at the cancelling of Moonlight. The feeling I have is like a huge void from which there is no escape and there is no replacement for this show. I, like many, many other Moonlight fans have never, ever chatted, blogged or posted comments to fight for a show that ended; but this one is so compelling...

Please add "my Moonlight" to your lineup for Fall 2008. Alex, Sophia and all of the other actors poured their heart and sole into the characters they portrayed...they deserve another chance. This show is "one of a kind." It is down in my book as the best show I have ever watched and I have watched quite a few!

Here are my comments about the show...

No. There is nothing that has ever been or ever will be Moonlight.

Many fans describe watching the show as taking a roller coaster ride. The set of emotions set forth is exactly that….heart pumping wildly one second, then an overwhelming sense of desperation together with uncontrollable tears the next moment, followed by exhilarated gasps, quivering out of ultimate happiness, then relaxing and releasing all energy left in the body leaving one feeling completely and utterly spent. It is a thrill ride of epic proportions. This describes the last 5 minutes of "Sonata." I played it over and over….10 times in succession to experience that ride. WOW!

About the cast….absolutely perfect. I cannot identify one, single flaw in any of them. Mick and Beth, MickBeth. It almost becomes a mantra. We fans say it over and over again, hoping against wild hope that the show will be saved.

About the script….genius!

No….there is nothing close to Moonlight, for me.
borntobemybaby
Every day when I get home I rush to the computer to see if USA has picked up the greatest show I have ever seen, Moonlight, and every day I have to wait some more. Please pick up the show, you can't even imagine how exciting a show Moonlight is. Believe me you have a really strong fan base already made.
comedyqueen2
USA please pick up Moonlight I would so rather this show be on USA then sci-fi. If sci-fi picks it up then Sophia won't go to New York for the new location then we would have to have a new Beth and it wouldn't be the same. It wouldn't be the same in New york I'd rather the show to be in Los Angles. So please pick up Moonlight so it would stay the same and would recieve millions of fans.

I am 30, married with 3 children and need your help USA....CBS has thrown my house into turmoil. We no longer have our "family MOONLIGHT nights". Pleeeease pickup MOONLIGHT we will follow it anywhere!! We do watch USA from time to time although if you pick up our show we will become loyal and devoted fans of USA. I do like Ghost Whisperer and a few others on CBS but every since they chose not to pick up MOONLIGHT for a second season i just can't bring myself to watch CBS any longer, not even for the evening news. PLEASE USA hear our cries and pick up the best television series in the history of t.v. You will have atleast 7 more loyal and dedicated "character's" on your side. yes, 7...my sister and her boyfriend also comes to my house for "family MOONLIGHT night". Please keep our new found family tradition alive along with MOONLIGHT.

Thank You,

USA, PLEASE consider picking up our show Moonlight. It is an all around good show- excellent cast; surpurb acting; intriguing plots and romance. It won the Peoples Choice Award and best of all it comes with a built in fan base of about 8 million. You won't be sorry!!

No offense to Scifi, but USA is a much larger, more widely respected network and now becoming known for its primetime originals. I personally think USA would be a much better home for the fabulous set of characters that are Mick, Beth, and Josef. Our OVER (way over) 8 million fans of the show (nielsen only shows a fraction) would really help bring USA more to the forefront of cable networks. Many millions each television season are leaving "the big three" and looking more at cable networks. USA, let Moonlight help propel you to the top and allow this wonderfully written and well-acted show continue to flourish.

Moonlight is NOT just a "cult" series with cult fans. We are the mainstream. Many of us (including myself) didn't watch much sci fi or supernatual programming before. Grey's Ananomy, Brothers & Sisters, CSI, Law & Order, Private Practice and many other "mainstream" shows have typically been my favorites. However, there is just something about MOONLIGHT that I just can't get enough of. USA, I am your typical 18-49 female (35 to be exact), married (and expecting) woman that makes most (if not all) of both the spending and TV viewing decisions in my household. I have never written to a network before and have never been active in TV forums before, but this show just deserves someone (all of us) to fight for it.

PLEASE, SAVE OUR MOONLIGHT, PLEASE

I WATCH USA ALL THE TIME.I THINK MOONLIGHT WOULD BE A GOOD SHOW FOR USA IT HAS IT ALL FROM GOOD STORY LINES TO GREAT LOOKING ACTORS AND ACTRESSES PLEASE PLEASE PICK UP MOONLIGHT YOU WILL BE MAKING 8 MILLION + FANS VERY HAPPY!!! AND YOU WILL GET A GREAT SHOW FOR YOUR CHANNEL.

I am 30 years old, married with one kid. Moonlight is my absolute favorite show. Please, USA, please pick it up ~ it is amazing and has a ton of fans. It really has gotten to me and I would be so grateful if this show was picked up here at this amazing network!
Hooty
My husband and I watch Psych;, Monk; Burn Notice and the reruns of NCIS and House. We were greatly disappointed when CBS cancelled the vampire show Moonlight. This is a great show. Since your adverstising boasts "characters welcome" Moonlight would be another addition to the list. It has drama, romance and humor all rolled into one. The character development and acting are superb. Please consider adding this show to your successful programing.

All Moonlight Fans and Directv subscribers- Attention
I read this on the Moonlight-United web site. As of May 27, this was posted. (this is an excerpt)

"DirecTV is already aware of our campaign and created a special email address for us to send in our letters. Let’s pack that inbox full of support for Moonlight! Send your emails to: the101@direcTV.com"

I am a loyal customer of Directv, have been for nearly 13 yrs, in 2 different states. I wrote to them as a customer and a fan of Moonlight asking ( pleading gracefully) to pick up the show as they have done for Friday Night Lights from NBC. Now Friday Night Lights was critically acclaimed but not a huge draw like Moonlight is.Let's make them aware of the millions of fans Moonlight has.
Please write to link above to express your feelings ( respectfully) for having them pick up Moonlight
Keep the campaign in the front of every network. Keep the options open to all and let them know the warmth, support and appreciation we have for this program.
Thanks!

I wrote to DirecTv!!! smile.gif Let's hope this gets picked up ~ I will do whatever it takes to get this show renewed !

Dear USA people,

As millions of other fans of this AMAZING show, I am adding my voice to my fellow US fans' from overseas. I know there are some other millions of us in Latinamerica, Canada and Europe who, like me, are anxiously waiting for you to decide to pick up our MOONLIGHT. Allow us to continue enjoying this wonderful entertainment, the work of this incredibly committed and talented group of actors, writers etc. who have us glued to our TV sets, joined by something SO special we cannot clearly define it. Let us, millions, come to your channel as faithful viewers!

Moonlight would so much be a money maker for USA. With all the fan contact of the advertisers from when it was on CBS, they have had a heads up as to the fan base and should be receptive to following the show too. Not only that, there are so many new fans who didn't even know the show existed last season. CBS didn't advertise it but now because of us asking friends to be involved, said friends have downloaded episodes, in my case watched them at my house, and they now want more as much as those of us who watched the entire season. The fan base grows when the show isn't even on!

Hi Bubba here, add me on too please. I have never seen the show, but with this much support, USA should think about it.

Bubba: Thank you for the endorsement! It means more than you know. We apologize for putting you through your paces considering all the errant postings that you have had to put in their correct place. For many of us, these are the first forums we have had any dealings with. We felt strongly enough about this little gem of a show to visit Message Boards and Forums for the first time in our lives to let the world know what a major mistake CBS made by canceling one of the best programs to come around in a long time. Bear with us; I think we are getting the rules of etiquette down. At least I hope for your sake that we are. Thanks again!

I am not a "CRAZED FAN" or "Rabid", or in a "cult". I am an 32 year old mother of 3 small boys. I have very little time in the week to devote to me. Moonlight has been the best "my time" I have had in a long time. Watching it was like going to a good movie every week, without paying for a babysitter. I put my kids to bed, cleaned the kitchen, then sat down and watched MickBeth. It has also been the first time in the 2 years since I got my DVR that I watched something live with commercial interuptions. I miss Moonight already and hope USA will give me "my time" again.

I love ML

My mom 72, watches it too.

I resent the fact that they consider us a cult following as well. I am a 38-year-old vet tech in Louisville KY. Once I started watching the show around episode 7 and realized how good it was, I began taping them every Friday night. On Saturday, I would bring the tape in to the animal hospital for that day's entertainment during lunch. Every employee from the receptionists, the doctors, the technicians and assistants, and even our office managers are hooked. Ages range from 20 years old to the mid-40s. My sister, who is 48, has been watching since the very first episode (but neglected to tell me anything about it!) and she is one of the heads of Human Resources at a major utility here in town. This is not what I would consider a "cult" following. We fans are passionate about this show because it actually stands for something and has a good message behind it. The scripts are smart, clever, and amusing (who doesn't like Josef's sense of humor? Jason Dohring really has a way with delivering a line). Of course, one can't say enough about the sex appeal.

I would really be surprised if the USA Network ever regretted picking up Moonlight, so I hope they don't let this opportunity pass. They would be bringing so many new viewers it USA while at the same time seeing a lot more of those of us who already watch their network. It is a win-win situation.

Since CBS' decision, I have deleted their channel from my remote because I don't want a single second of my time wasted on them while channel surfing. In deference to USA, for allowing Moonlight fans to post on their Forum and for simply giving Moonlight their consideration, I have spent an increasing amount of time watching their programs. I recently watched a couple episodes of Burn Notice for the first time and found that I liked it a lot, and was disappointed when I had to leave for work half way through the episode. I will definitely be watching this in the future. As with my initial prejudice towards Moonlight (I didn't want to watch it at first because of the whole vampire thing), I made invalid assumptions about Burn Notice based upon a few commercials I had seen. Once I allowed myself to sit down and watch, and to put all preconceived notions aside, I discovered how much I enjoyed its sense of humor. The writers of Burn Notice deliver a great script for their show as well.

All we are asking, really, is to give Moonlight a chance.

I am a HUGE Moonlight fan and I am begging for USA Network to pick up the best show on TV!! It won Peoples Choice Award for Best New Drama. The fans are the most loyal fans I have ever seen. This show has won its time slot every Friday. I have turned down plans just so I can be home to watch it. MickHOTTY and Beth are the best TV couple and it just can't end now!!! PLEASE PLEASE pick up MOONLIGHT!!!!!!!! I swear I will tune in every day that it's on and I will leave my channel on USA every day! Thank you for taking time and reading this!!!!!!

Like so many on this forum, I to have never wrote on these message boards to support a show. But I have to, for Moonlight. I started watching this show from the beginning episode and got so hooked on it, that my family and friends began to watch also. Guess what? Yes they are hooked as well! I am 53 and my family and friends vary in ages 5-60 that watch it also. USA- please pick this show up, I don't think the people who track these shows really know how many fans it does have, but I would feel safe in saying it is probably way more than the 7-8 million they know of. This show is funny, romantic, dramatic, exciting, and sometimes scary. It has it all, I can't brag enough about the actors/actresses on this program they do a superb job. To have fans that have such broad age differences says to me that the people that produce this show have a real gem here. USA has several great shows, Monk is one that just cracks me up and I watch it when I can. I am certainly no Network Executive, but I know good entertainment when I see it and I haven't enjoyed a show like Moonlight since Miami Vice was on in the 80's, this is a winner!! From what I am reading, and believe me I am checking these boards everyday to see if there is any news,(that is so out of character for me) Moonlight would be a really big golden goose for the USA Network because it comes with a true(extremely large) fan base, and good stats. biggrin.gif To be perfectly honest, I think USA would be the better home due to the good programing that already exists with your network. I don't think this would be taking a chance, I think for your network it would be grabbing the brass ring, with a really good "character". Thanks so much for reading and I hope listening to the 50 and over demographic, because sometimes we get overlooked. The powers that be seem to forget that by far we are the ones that are home at night watching TV. wink.gif

I have been a fan of Moonlight since the premier, and have watched the 16 episodes many times each, and I will never get tired of them. To have USA pick up Moonlight and bring us new episodes would be such a joy. I have never bothered to write to a network or get involved in a campaign to save a show, but this one is so well worth it.
You will have such a gold-mine, you will be amazed that CBS just dropped it for no reason. I will follow Moonlight wherever it goes, and I will be a very grateful and loyal fan to the network that picks it up. There is so much to gain, not only from airing the show, but the merchandising would be incredible. I am dying to buy the DVD, t-shirts, even a replica of "Mick's" ring!
I am a 45 year old woman, I live in Georgia, and I never watched TV on Friday before Moonlight. Now that it is gone, I have not watched CBS since the last episode aired, and never will again. Moonlight was the only good show they had! I know USA could make it even better by having it on cable, without so many censorship restrictions. I watched every single second of Moonlight, including the commercials, so as not to miss a single second. I am so serious about this, not only do I promise to watch the network faithfully if Moonlight is there, but I will watch all of your other shows, and buy only products advertised on USA!
Please pick up Moonlight, and you will have millions of happy, grateful viewers. I read that if USA picks it up, it will take place in NYC. I think that would be fantastic!
Here's hoping for season 2 of Moonlight and many more seasons to come on USA! Thank you for listening to us, and being so nice about the forum.

My Top 3 Reasons the USA Network should pick up Moonlight 1. Amazing, dedicated and supportive fans that have given their blood, sweat, money, and tears to save Moonlight and will bring in those ratings! laugh.gif 2. A never ending storyline that can go any which way and still be the best written show on TV, imagine the possibilities....3. Actors who inspire us and move us and make us believe in the unbelievable. This is our show, Moonlight deserves a 2nd chance to shine Alexis Ralicki, 26 years old, Denver Colorado

Hey Angiekl - How right you are. Us over 50 folks have most of the money too! Money that adverstisers want us to spend on their products. USA and Directv, Scifi and FX, please consider the program for you line up. It fits a wide range of demographics. How many shows can you say that do that? Very few I'm sure.
Networks Listen up!, We, not just the US, but people in many countries are speaking out to have this show picked up.
You gotta have faith,
You have to believe in fate,
You gotta have friendship
and if you do,
you have forever....

You'll have us as loyal viewers USA....

I wish I could convey to you how much I love watching Moonlight and how loyal I would be to your network if you picked it up. There are so many story lines that need to be wrapped up it could be a number one show for years and years to come. I hope we get a Season 2. It is so great!

I am another fan of Moonlight and would love to see it on USA. I already watch Monk and Burn Notice so Moonlight would be one more reason for me to watch USA! Please add it to your programing!

I watch Moonlight everynight from episodes I downloaded from itunes. It is a fantastic show that needs a new home. If you support this show you will not be disappointed!

We're still working on all different avenues, to help our Friends of the Moonlight Pack to continue serving us this Story. I've watched shows from in my chair for years and never had one who's people dragged me into the Story like they have! This is what makes us Moonlighters so passionate about finding a home for Moonlight!
USA - you have series here that have action, drama, some romance and humor - Moonlight fits right in! I also believe that USA would allow our Friends to serve us the Story in the flavor it's viewers have come to expect.
We're going to strive on all fronts to try and find our series a new home. It could be here! We could be mutually beneficial to both of us.
Call around - search around the sites - add up the numbers. I've heard that one letter or e-mail is equivalent to a certain number of viewers who have no voice to hollar about their show being gone. Tally that all up! We could help each other!

Hello USA

I am a fan of Monk, it would be wonderful if you add Moonlight to your programs, as you can see it has thousands of fans around the world and you will have in me one of your most loyal fans. I gave up CBS already because they cancelled the show that brought romance to the TV not some group of people on an island trying to survive.

Please consider Moonlight for your programming. Thanks you for your time Annette Long Island NY wink.gif

Moonlight and Pushing Daisies were the best new shows on television. Moonlight would be such an excellent addition to the already wonderful line up of "kooky" detectives on USA Friday nights.

I really hope USA can see that Moonlight would make a great addition to their line-up!!! I am a fan of the network - love CI and Burn Notice - and would be over the moon if I had another great show to watch here!!

Seriously, Moonlight is a great show that definitely deserved another season! I hope USA will not make the same mistake CBS did in letting a great show with loyal fans pass them by!!!

USA I hope you are considering putting Moonlight on your line-up this Fall. So many people love this amazing show. It has everything a show should have, drama, romance, comedy, beautiful actors, great story lines (that could go on for years). Eight million fans will come with the show. It is a win win for your network.
Moonlightfan4ever
As a fan of Monk, The Dead Zone, and the 4400, Moonlight would be a great addition to your great network. This show has it all, a hero, a heroine, great acting, wonderful chemistry between Mick/Beth, humor, action, and fantasy all rolled into one terrific show. You know how I can tell how good a show is? I always know it's great when I cannot believe a whole hour has gone by before I know it. That's the true test. When you're not bored or switching channels during the commercials. When you're so intent on not missing one scene. When you don't even want to get up to go to the bathroom or get something to eat. When you're fixated in front of the TV and can't wait for next weeks show. When it's over and you keep wanting more and more and more. I haven't felt this way about a show in a very long, long time. I've told a lot of people about this show and they've all gotten hooked. It's addicting. Please give it a chance on your network. I really believe this show has the ability to be a real money maker for any network if given a chance. It has 8 million fans and the potential for a lot more.

I've been watching this thread a while, and I must hand it to you guys for your passion. However, you guys are sadly mistaken. USA Networks WILL NEVER PICK UP MOONLIGHT.

First of all, USA Networks does not read these threads, and if you want action by the higher ups, you shouldn't waste your time beseeching them on here. You can beg and plead all you want for USA to pick up the series for S2, but they don't read these forums. Sure, they employ someone to make sure the forum stays up and that no one says anything patently offensive, but other than that, they are totally hands off. Personally, I think the only reason they even have a forum at all is to collect advertising revenue for USA/ NBC Universal.

Additionally, when the 4400 and the Dead Zone fans tried petitioning USA to discuss why they cancelled the show (and possible ways to save it), USA Networks totally ignored them. When newspapers contacted them for response, all the officials at USA had was a gobblygook of words meant to convey sympathy, but in reality, avoided the question and, in fans' minds, showed disdain. I'm just saying, even if you DO get picked up for a season or two, you might find yourself in the same boat a few years from now.

Speaking of the 4400 and the Dead Zone, they are perhaps the best evidence why you guys won't get USA Networks to pick up Moonlight. All three shows have excellent writing, brilliant characters, and all employ elements of the supernatural in their storytelling. USA has already said that those traits have no place in their "vision" for a lowest common denominator TV channel and promptly filled their lineup with crime procedurals with a wacky twist.
msjk2766
Promicinjunkie-
And you are such an expert because? If you came in here to spread gloom and doom, go join Nina Tassler over on the CBS.com website, I hear they are lonely over there. We are just fine. You never know if USA is listening, I am sure some one there is much brighter then you give them credit for.
The folks that write in this thread share something you obviously have no clue about, passion for a set of characters that helped us all escape for an hour each week. Ya know, we share hope together, we share the feelings that watching this program evoked. When we are done chatting, we go back to our very normal lives knowing we are a part of something.
We don't just write in here, we have postcard campaigns and rallies and trade newspaper ads!
You have to have hope, you have to have faith and you have to believe.
That my skeptic friend is what makes us different from you.
Now please take your pessimistic attitude and go rain on someone else's parade, hey maybe Survivor "Whatever Island" is looking for a few dark clouds.

I think it was less of a rain on your parade and more of someone who has JUST went through this same thing. Only the difference between your's and promicijunkie's situation is that the show he was involved in trying to save was actually one of USA's shows already. The fans of The 4400 (I know because I am one) and those of The dead zone (I assume) have just done all of those things you described to try and get our shows back. We have been petitioning to bring The 4400 for almost half a year now and it is VERY evident that no one of any importance to getting programming on the air reads these threads. We have even gone as far as contacting every number available for execs of USA network. All that we have gotten in return is "no comment" and my favorite "logistically impossible to bring the show back".
