I HAVE BEEN WATCHING USA FOR YRS. I AM A RETIRED I.C.U. NURSE AND HAVE WATCHED MANY QUALITY SHOWS ON USA. I AM PRAYING USA IS GOING TO MAKE A MOVE TO GIVE OUR CAST AND SHOW A NEW HOME. THIS SHOW IS PERFECT FOR USA. ITS ON THE EDGE AS IS A LOT OF THEIR OTHER SHOWS. THEY ARE NOT AFRAID TO TAKE A CHANCE. THATS WHAT MAKES THEM A QUALITY NETWORK. it would be very good idea for USA to pick up Moonlight for it 2nd season.
Moonlight is a very good show that don't get the support from CBS.
Even though the show was doing well on rating.
they got alots of hard-core fans who will follows the show to any network,
that pick the show up for the 2nd season.
I really hope it USA. Moonlight will do good for the network.
I would pay to support the show.

I am not a "CRAZED FAN" or "Rabid", or in a "cult". I am an 32 year old mother of 3 small boys. I have very little time in the week to devote to me. Moonlight has been the best "my time" I have had in a long time. Watching it was like going to a good movie every week, without paying for a babysitter. I put my kids to bed, cleaned the kitchen, then sat down and watched MickBeth. It has also been the first time in the 2 years since I got my DVR that I watched something live with commercial interuptions. I miss Moonight already and hope USA will give me "my time" again.

Dear USA,
I am a fan of House, Law and Order, and Monk. I love this network. Today it was announced that CBS is cancelling Moonlight. The devastated fans are looking for a home for Moonlight. I am petitioning/requesting/begging USA to buy Moonlight and give us a season 2. I believe Moonlight will benefit USA for the following reasons:
1) It is a People's Choice Award winning show that will lend more prestige to USA.
2) It has an 8 million viewer strong fan-base who will gladly follow the show to USA and promote loyalty to USA and its other shows.
3) It has a cult-like following that has no qualms about evangelizing the show and bringing in more word-of-mouth advertising for USA.
Thank you for listening to my heartfelt appeal.

Hello Kayt!
Check out moonlight-united.com, moonlight-detective.com, moonlightfan.blogspot.com for names, postal address, email addresses etc. Plus lots of news on progress of renewal campaign. It is more important to call and mail the other networks (especially USA) rather than Silver and Warner Bros. I just googled for phone numbers of Silver Pictures (Joel Silver is Moonlight producer, 818-954-4490, phone was answered by a guy who sounded 12-years-old and knew very little) and Warner Brothers (Moonlight production company, 818-954-6000, where I talked to a very tired, but nice, receptionist) WB folks are definitely on our side and it doesn't do much good to bother them. They'll let us know if they manage to sell the show to another network, believe me!
Good luck and keep up the good fight!

what an excellent and natural fit --
USA Network and MOONLIGHT!
USA wants characters -- --- MOONLIGHT has unforgettable characters
USA likes quality shows ----- MOONLIGHT is quality
USA features shows above and beyond the norm (MONK, LA FEMME NIKITA, HOUSE, L & O, etc.)
---- MOONLIGHT fits this perfectly! CBS says it "didn't know what to do with it" --- what a compelling mix of romance, thriller, detective story, updated vampire lore, "Noir" and light-heartedness. The mix is fantastic.

I will keep this going! I just finished watching / listening to 2 episodes on my IPOD, ran the batteries nearly to 0. But I got a bunch of work done too sitting at my desk. I watched the episode with Alex's girlfriend Holly in it. She was pretty good, if you like nearly 500 yr. old vampires. I should only look so good! Oh well that ship has sailed, never mind. My fortune is made, 20 yrs. invested.
Please USA, hear the many voices that would love for your network to pick up Moonlight.
Thank you for giving us "characters" a place and a voice.
Please, Please, Please, make my family happy again some night of the week to see the MickBeth story continue on your network. You have to have some things to dream about in this reality soaked world. A little escape is good for the soul.

I just wanted to say that something that someone had posted a bizillion pages ago was true. With Stephenie Meyer's book Breaking Dawn coming out in August and her first book Twilight being made into movie out in December, vampires are going to be on everyones mind. I do think it would be a wise decision for USA to pick up Moonlight. With the fan base already established and also new people that would watch because it would come on before or after a show they already watch. I am an avid watcher of Bones, House, Burn Notice, and Psych. I usually watch the new episodes of Bones and House on FOX, but I do watch the reruns on USA because the shows are just that good, like Moonlight. I have yet to delete any of the episodes on my DVR, I deleted Heroes last month. Moonlight is an excellent show with a very LOYAL fanbase. The episodes have gotten better with each one. Someone just needs to give it a chance. You gave the 4400 a chance and it lasted for 4 seasons. Also Moonlight is the only show that started in the Fall that I still watch. Just try it.

It would be in your best interests to pick up Moonlight. There's a solid fan base and the merchandising rights....my stars! The money to be made!! How impressive is the fact that the fans paid for two full page adds! How impressive that we are signing pledges to boycott CBS & it's advertisers. What happened to the poll? Does this mean there's no hope? I hope not. I love Moonlight. I have been addicted to it since I discovered it (thanks to two of my friends) on Halloween. Speaking of characters, who could ask for more than Mick's subtle sense of humor, Josef's snarkiness, and Beth's witty repartee and retorts. This show has some of the best lines anywhere, as well as a classic sense of cool and as smooh sense of style. We need more. Please, give us a season two!!!!!

Many of us are off burning up our fingers - trying to get Moonlight a new Home! We love it too much to condemn it. We have to help.
USA - I want you to know that our Friends - and yes they've become friends to us - do the best of what they do, than any Pack of people I've ever seen! (And I'm 49 years old - so that's quite a period of time!) I've never seen anyone include the fan-base so much in what they're doing! This Moonlight isn't just a show we sit and watch every week. They've received input from us, and have done things in the storyline, that makes us all feel like we're involved in it's Story. We're not just fans to them - we're people - that they care about, and want to bring a quality product to.
They've had so many hurdles to overcome to work this project, the re-castings, the multiple show-runners, the writer's strike... and they've never given us up and just folded and went home! That would have been so easy! There's always another job! I, myself, wouldn't have had the stamina to keep striving for so long! They're heart must be wholly devoted to giving us Moonlight! They've never treated us in an impersonal manner - always like Kin.
Because they have given so much blood, sweat, and tears to share this wonderful Story with us - it's no surprise that we've reacted in a way that folks call "rabid" and "cultish" and maybe "insane". When someone has sacrificed so much to bring you something with Love - how do you NOT go howling at the gates of those who seem to have caused them damage? The story of how Moonlight was created and tossed is a Drama in itself!
Alex and the cast and crew have given so much time and effort - now we, as it's viewer-base - strive to return the Kindness. We work, we write, we phone-call, we rally - yeah, we bleed, too. All of us who love this Story have become Family! Are you concerned about a dedicated viewer-base? The reason you don't see more of us here in this thread - is because we're elsewhere all over trying to get Moonlight a new Home! We're dedicated to working till we drop - to help our Friends continue their Story. How could anyone think we wouldn't stay afterwards? And I know other people who haven't been viewers - will come watch - after hearing about our struggle.
There are some of us working on a solution to the Cost problem... Keep and eye on your mail...

I would like to encourage the USA Network to consider showing the TV series, Moonlight, that began airing on CBS in the 2007-2008 season. With its combination of mystery, action and romance in stories performed by a talented and attractive cast, it is a program that appeals to a broad spectrum of audiences. By synthesizing the horror and film noir genres, Moonlight provides a refreshing change from the standard sitcoms, game shows, reality shows and more mundane dramas currently filling the schedules of many broadcast networks. Having received the People's Choice Award for best new drama, Moonlight already has demonstrated that it has popular appeal. Unfortunately, the writer's strike in mid-season and the resulting hiatus handicapped Moonlight from reaching its full potential. Please give the series Moonlight the chance that it deserves to develop into a bona fide hit by developing a second season to air on the USA Network. It's loyal and substanial fan base will follow it and a program of this quality can't help but recruit a large amount of additional, dedicated viewers. Thank you for considering this request.

Moonlight is the best show on TV, and has been cancelled by CBS. I am still in shock. After only 16 wonderful episodes, this marvelous show is gone. It went thru the strike and was not given a chance to prove itsself further with a 2nd season. It has a stellar cast, & anything a viewer could want in a show: drama, suspense, romance, it's sexy, exciting and downright addictive! I looked forward to Friday night all week just to see this show, & Friday night is usually a hard night for any show. The ratings were obviously wrong - I believe the only reason the sagging ratings for Ghost Whisperer & Numbers went up from last season, is because Moonlight viewers like myself were tuning in JUST to see Moonlight! The other shows benefited from that - I don't even like them. The Nielsen ratings are based on 5,000 boxes in homes, out of approx. 97,000,000 homes with TVs in the US alone. How could that possibly be accurate?!
Moonlight has over 8,000,000 viewers just waiting for a fine network such as USA to pick up our show & let it shine. I truly appreciate the fact that USA & the USA viewers have been so nice & so polite, letting us have this forum & letting us talk about Moonlight.
Please take this fine show, & you will have millions of grateful, loyal & dedicated fans. I watched ML from the premier thru the last new episode on 5/16, & never missed a second of the show or the commercials. Merchandising alone would be fantastic - we are all waiting to buy DVDs, t-shirts, caps, pictures, anything Moonlight, and even a replica of "Mick's" ring! The possibilities for the story line and the characters are endless, and the show gives a new & fresh angle to the already and ever popular vampire genre.
My worry is that the fine cast will end up signed on for other projects, so please pick up our Moonlight ASAP! We promise that you will not regret it. Thank you again for being so kind & letting us use this forum. Here's to Moonlight forever!

Hello USA Network, and thank you for taking the time to read my message. I'm writing to ask you to seriously consider picking up the CBS-canceled TV show "Moonlight." The show has a dedicated fan base that will follow it to any station that adopts it as its own. It won the People's Choice Award for Best New Drama because it has an intoxicating plot that really is different from other vampire-like shows. It not only provides adventure, thrills, and a new twist on the vampire theme in general, it has an electrifying romantic storyline that I have not seen matched since the old TV series "Beauty and the Beast."
I really do believe the number of people watching "Moonlight" is much higher than the 7.5 to 8 million reported. Because I work, I record the show to watch later, and my viewing habits would not be counted in a Nielson report if I was a participant. I know for certain that a lot of other people do the same thing. I also purchased every episode for the Amazon Unbox, and have signed up to purchase the entire first season on DVD should it become available. Thousands of others have also. I truly believe that "Moonlight" would be a suitable addition to the USA network, and would be a perfect fit. Also, adding "Moonlight" to your popular lineup would bring millions of new viewers to your network that would be exposed to existing commercial support and advertising. In the process, they might also become interested in other USA network shows as well. I hope "Moonlight" can find a home with you. I truly think it would be a very profitable decision on your part. Thanks again ...

I realized overnight that USA wants to Hear about our Characters - and I wrote about our Friends.
I'll add that I used to watch 4400 and The Dead Zone - till they were ended. Those were very good series that ran for several seasons and ran their Storyline to an natural ending. I currently catch House and Bones wherever I can find them. You'd have me at USA longer if you took up Moonlight! Moonlight had just started and was rushed through a short life to it's execution earlier this month. It wasn't allowed to develop it's storyline, go off and answer the questions it raised, and then come back to travel it's natural life to it's proper ending. It was rushed to it's death.
This is sad - because we who've watched it from the beginning, learned the Characters as Persons, and how they related to each other, and each's personal issues with existence. If you get someone to run through the film, and excuse the mess-ups caused by multiple show-runners and the writers strike - they'll see some really Powerful scenes occur! Our Friends really poured in the Quality there, and almost every episode had at least one of them.
"The ReTurning of Mick" is one - where a man tearfully begs his best friend, who he looks upon as a brother, to take his Life - so he can save the woman he loves. It's obvious to us that Josef's humorous comments hide a deep-running affection for Mick, because he's close to tears as he caves to this request. Long-time watchers know there's a risk of failure here, and Mick could fail to revive - Josef would lose his friend and feel it was his fault. On the surface it looks like an oddball scene, but what it is - is a sacrifice of one's Self - of one's Life - for a person who's loved. That's as awesome to me as the Passion of Christ - or a Serviceman who throws himself on a grenade to save his Buddies. It's Life worth sacrificing for Love. That's always Strong and Noble.
"The Rooftop Dinner" was done with such strategic lighting that I had to re-run the scene to catch exactly what it was that was grabbing my subliminal senses. The shooters had rigged it so the buildings behind Mick had some yellow in the "office lights", and the one's behind Beth were white. Mick's "spotlight" was a cold color, and Beth's gave her a golden glow. What this Contrast did - cold over warm and warm over cold - was make Mick look more dead (because he's now a vampire again) opposite Beth's looking "glowing with life". When I realized what they'd done - my only reaction was "WOW! That's sooo Cool! So neat how they did that!" During the scene their positions are reversed as they kiss, and when they break away - she's "colder" cause she's frustrated with him, and he's "warmer" from the life he received through her kiss. I just flipped out!
The motion and expressions in this scene are catching, too. Mick 's reaction to each thing Beth says intensifies, till at the end, he looks like she's bludgeoned him - and she never touched him. The facial and body language is so feral and expressive! I've been an animal caregiver all my life - and for once it was easy to read a "human" - because a Vampire has a feral nature, and Alex O'Loughlin portrayed this so well! Even his move to catch Beth as she left - was almost feline in swiftness and motion, I was Awestruck! "Wow! I want to see that again!"
The intriguing nature of this Story is it's Play on Contrast. Light and Dark, Life and Death, Love and Rage, Old History and Present Day, Warmth and Cold, Natural Law and "Civilized" Life - even Mick's fireplace with the glass-chips over gas-jets was like Fire and Ice.
"Letting go of Mick" in 'Sonata' was so intense, most watchers were in tears as Beth tore her heart loose from her love for Mick and sent him away. Her total breakdown after she closed the door is a pain most of us feel only once every decade - where you sob so deep your chest hurts and feels hollow - and the pain goes down to the belly. Sophia Myles brought us Right There - feeling her pain. But Mick was also something that ripped the heart to watch. His standing and trying to listen to what she had to say, while his distress grew, his futile attempt to reason away her line of thought, and finally the reaction on his face as what she was saying sunk in. It was like someone had gently slid a blade into my chest. Then when he clipped heel and headed for the door - it was thrust in with full force. In the hallway, the stifled sobs and the determination to not give up without taking a stand, made is all feel what he was feeling "from in the skin". By the time Mick had argued his case and finally said he loved Beth out loud - I was in full-throat Howl!
Our Friends do such a Unique Quality of work for Television... I have absolutely NOTHING I can compare it to. When I watched TV-series before it was "Ok - the story's good..." - This one hauled me INTO the story like I was gaffed! I wasn't in my chair - I was IN THE STORY. Not just looking at the story.
Our Friends also made sure their audience had a good emotional-milking in each episode, because often they'd have us crying one minute - then laughing to hysterics with the next scene - then saying "Awwww!!!" with sweetness the next - then adrenaline-flushed with a Hunt or some other dramatic scene. The Roller-coaster they took us on with each episode was awesome! The "Letting go of Mick" scene was three of those rolled into one scene... I was breathless after! It was wonderful!
Then I cried like a baby! "How could they cancel this???"
This is NOT just another TV-show! It's so much more! It's Quality Theatre we can get at home! It's emotional release - and an hour's escape from the crap we deal with in Life - where our Friends loan us their skins to feel what they feel, and do what they do.... and not just sit outside looking in.
But there was MORE - so much more to tell in this Story. Many loose threads left dangling - questions left unanswered and paths not explored - that the cast and Crew of Moonlight should have had the chance to share with us.
We wish you'd find a Place for our Friends - our Characters - here at USA.

Wow, OlWolf, that was fantastic, you had me choked up as you described the feelings that this evoked. I remember watching those episodes and feeling like my heart was ripped out at the end in Sonata, especially knowing that CBS had cancelled it.
USA, We are the Characters you want, the average everyday person that comes to USA Network to escape reality for alittle while. We appreciate your kindness and respect for letting us all come here to praise the show, the characters and the actors as well as commiserate together at the canceling of this show. You can make our days brighter by being bold enough to give Moonlight a chance.
Please, I don't have any more humble way to ask.
Thank you.

I am a 45 year old, professional woman who finds Moonlight a great escape from the stresses of real life. For an hour every week I would escape to a place of fantasy, action and romance. With most networks filled with reality TV, game shows and CSI spin-offs I find Moonlight a refreshing change. It's quality programming with fantastic writing and acting. I am one of the many Moonlight fans that never before went online to track a show or chat. And I have never fought to save a show before Moonlight. But I found myself wanting more when the show would be over so I went on the CBS web site and discovered the Moonlight forum. This show captured my interest from the very first episode. I found myself watching them over and over until the next week's episode was on. I have gotten more than 10 people watching the show most of which had never heard of it. And they all love it. The more I talk about it, the more people I find that love this show. Most of them were not even aware that it has been canceled. When I ask them if they would follow it to another network they all said yes. It's not your usual vampire show with a lot of supernatural things happening. These vampires have more humanity than most human characters on other shows. I love watching these characters deal with the difficulties of living in a human world. Alex is such an amazing actor and brings such emotion and vulnerability to his character. And the on screen chemistry between him and Sophia is electric! This is a story about love against all odds. The interplay of the relationships between these characters is superbly acted. You feel their pain and really care about what happens to them. Isn't that what good story telling is supposed to do? It's like a good book that you can't put down because you can't wait to see what happens next. This show has action, drama, romance, humor and so much room for growth. It's "a giant thrill ride that should never end". There are so many stories to be told. I just pray that some smart network will pick it up. PLEASE USA we need more Moonlight!!

I also agree. Moonlight is a one of a kind show. CBS has made a great error in cancelling this show. Hopefully USA will pick it up and with it, all of us loyal fans.

Moonlight would be a terrific compliment to the USA lineup. I can get my fix of Burn Notice (loving the re-runs to gear up for the new season), Monk and Moonlight all in one place....sweet!
