Please pick up Moonlight, USA. I will be happy to spend my money on your advertisers.
Moonlight is a great show and I am missing it already. There are so many potential plot lines that Moonlight has available. It would be a win/win situation. You'd get Moonlight and it's many fans and we'd get Moonlight on USA.
Thanks.

I think Moonlight is the best show on T.V. If your network picks it up you will have a huge, already established audience. It is a wonderful show that has Drama, Romance, and Comedy all at the same time. The characters are wonderful and when you watch them you believe every word they say, you feel you are there, that is a sign of great acting. The show has so many directions to go, and it would be a good fit for your network.

Hey USA,
I am another member of the Moonlight Army looking for a home for our favorite TV show.
I already watch a lot of programs on USA. SVU is one of my favorites shows and I love watching the reruns on USA.
Moonlight will bring a huge Army of fans to USA and I'm sure the fan base that is definitely going follow is only going to grow.
It will be a win win situation for Moonlight and for USA.

After spending almost a week now sitting here going from one site to another hopefully helping to find Moonlight a new home, if I were a network, I would want this show! I have never been associated with a more passionate group of people. But then I have never been a fan of a show this great before either. When fans on boards donated over $14,000 in less than 72 hours to advertise Moonlight in Variety and Hollywood Reporter, I frankly couldn't believe it. Of course I had trouble believing when I went to PayPal and sent my money to someone I didn't even know trusting that it would be used to help find a home for Moonlight. (which of course it was) People from all walks of life love this show and it has an appeal that I do understand but didn't know so many others would too. I have a new appreciation of sponsors and advertisers of a TV show also and if Moonlight is picked up by USA I will write to every advertiser on the show and never walk to the kitchen when commercials are on! I and my friends may not have a Nielsen box in our homes but we have been there every Friday night watching CBS - until now. USA would be a perfect home for this show as I wouldn't have to flip to another channel all the time!

Yes - there's more of us than the Nielsen ratings count... many are overseas, and they are captivated as much as State-side folks. And we're all one big happy Family - from all over!
And besides... we're a FUN bunch of people!
You'll probably laff yourself silly reading as we chat here! You'll LOVE US!
And the more we chat about how we love this show - the more people will come to see what we're talking about... increasing your viewership!

What happened to the Poll? I cannot fing the thread - I think it was #400616. Anyway, I hope Moonlight fans aren't being too pesky - we are nice folks an dare just trying to get out show renewed. I already watch so many shows on USA, having Moonlight in residence would be like coming home. Hope the USA Network can strike a deal with WB to pick up this program. There's a lot of sad humans out there who are going to miss their favorite vamps.
I've never been one to post on message boards. Had to get up the nerve but saving Moonlight is worth whatever it takes.

Yay! And I might add you were already getting a good reputation in the Moonlight community, Bubba!
You can currently view the last two episodes of Moonlight on the CBS web site, and they are both excellent. I don't think you need to know anything before watching; just pay attention to the "previouslies" for a little backstory. They are very good standalone episodes! You can also watch episode 11 on veoh.com. Also, very well done -- lots of action in that one.

USA Network,
This is new for me as well, so if I have been guilty of accidently starting a new thread, my apologies.
After careful consideration (and appeals to other television networks to pick up Moonlight for the Fall of 2008), I have come to only one conclusion: the USA Network would be the IDEAL network to bring Moonlight back for a second season (and hopefully many more...)
I have always respected this network for giving Monk its new home, and I appreciate the fact that you are running day-long marathons. Not having yet seen every episode of Moonlight (and considering now that CBS will apparently not be airing reruns of Moonlight), I am READY for an all-day Moonlight extravaganza!
Please don't disappoint these 8 million Moonlight fans! I have not felt as strongly about a series as I do about this one. And like so many others appealing to USA to bring Moonlight on board, this is the first show I felt strongly enough about to protest its cancellation.
PLEASE give Moonlight a second chance and restore my faith in humanity!
marimack
May 22 2008, 08:35 AM
We are not naive. We Moonlight fans are savvy enough to know that by its very definition, Moonlight will have a limited number of years to air (due to the fact that people will age, while vampires should not), but to be canned after only one season - and only a partial season at that!? Give me a break!
USA: please revive this show and allow others to fall in love with this special 'piece of television' (to use Alex's own words). It has captured the hearts of so many.

To the FANS of Moonlight around the world:
For those of you who may be unaware of its existence, I invite you to visit tvguide.com and go to the Message Boards. Type in Moonlight, which will take you to 'Shows starting with M'. From there, click on 'Alex speaks about Moonlight and its ending'. It is a poignant, sad letter from Alex O'Loughlin addressing his family, friends, and fans of Moonlight the day after receiving news of its cancellation. After reading this, how could you NOT want to help? We could use all the solidarity we can muster to help Moonlight receive its second chance. It made me feel so good yesterday to read all of your petitions to the USA Network to give it another go (all 53 pages worth). It was the first time since May 13th (when the announcement was made that it would not be returning in the fall) that I felt my first glimmer of hope that maybe, just maybe we could pull this off. I want to thank each and every one of you - from the US, from Germany, from the UK and Ireland, from Australia and all around the world - THANK YOU from one grateful woman in Louisville KY.

First, let me add my gratitude for the USA fan support and your being gracious enough to welcome us into your community. I know that we Moonlight fans are a passionate bunch but, can you blame us? CBS left us out swinging in the proverbial sunshine and it's beginning to get a bit toasty out here!
I want to repeat something here that I have already voiced to the USA network execs.....I may not be in your "target demographic" group......I am a 40+ female college grad with four daughters...three of which are just as devoted fans of Moonlight as I am. As is my husband. We watch Moonlight faithfully......never miss an episode. We have never subscribed to cabled television...and we monitor what our children watch very carefully. We are so committed to this show that we PROMISE you a new cable subscriber, USA, if you do the right thing and save our Moonlight. We would willingly pay additional $$$$ just to have the PRIVILEGE of viewing this remarkable, compelling, unique, sexy, show every week. And, to be perfectly honest, we have the disposable income to back your sponsors instead of CBS. That network really doesn't know who it is messing with. My demographic pool is the ONE who holds the checkbook in our families.......and we are willing to put our money where our loyalty lies.
Again, thank you USA for your continued support of our battle. Can't wait to see what wonderful things your network has to offer for us rabid, displaced, embittered Moonlight fans!

Greetings, Moonlight Warriors!
I couldn't stand the suspense, so tried calling the Warner Bros. main phone yesterday. The long-suffering operator was very polite. Said she could not comment on the Save Moonlight campaign. But when I told her I had taken the week off to send emails, write letters and postcards, call networks when possible and asked her point blank if I should stop it and get back to my life, she said. "They're still talking to other networks. Don't give up yet."
Also, she said handwritten letters and envelopes (no address stickers) get much more attention since it shows more time and effort (and willingness to spend postage money!) rather than just mass mailing the same message over and over.

I have loved Moonlight from the very beginning and have been glued to it ever since. I am an extremely busy working woman (actually like MOST women!) and I do not take time out to promote something unless it means alot to me--especially a TV show!! I am so addicted!
As a result, I do everything I can to promote it--even from buying from the shows sponsors. I have a list of who they are and when I can theirs is the product I chose.
In other words--USA I will do the same for you! I will also make a point to watch other programs when I can. There are over 7.5M other viewers (and there will be more!) who will do the same thing!!
Please--acquire this wonderful show and make me a real happy, supportive viewer!!!!

Thank you, USA, for providing Moonlight fans the opportunity to post on your boards. We are so very hopeful that the USA network, which I tune into every day, will pick up this great show. I've been told that Warner Brothers has offered this show as a candidate for an Emmy Nomination. Also, the Moonlight fans care so much for their show that they have held blood drives, bone marrow drives (for one of the writer's relative) and have paid for ads in two major entertainment papers. The first Moonlight Convention is being held over Memorial Day weekend at the Westin Hotel in LA.
The fan base is around 8 million. Unfortunately, millions of the fans who watched the season finale thought it was just that - a season finale. They have no idea that the season finale was really a series finale on CBS because CBS dangled all the fans, cast, crew, writers and producers on a string until it was too late for many networks to pick up this show. However, USA is smart and savy enough to know what a great show Moonlight is. For that reason, we Moonlight fans thank you for giving us the opportunity to let you know how much we love our show. And we hope you will pick it up.

It seems that we Moonlight fans have been fighting this battle for a very long time, when it is only a little over a week when CBS officially "dumped" the 8-10 million fans of this incredible show. The show was never promoted as well at it should have been. It was stuck in a bad time spot on Friday night. CBS never gave credit to all the professional buzz the show got (TV Guide, People, EW, etc) It got hit by a very unfortunate and untimely writer's strike.
And yet the show developed a large and vocal fan base that many shows and networks would kill for. It's Nielsen numbers, that totally arbiturarity game that the networks continue to play even into the day of a thouand viewer options, didn't sink that far after the strike as so many other shows did.
So what did the powers that be do to this wonderful show? The canceled it! Why? Because it didn't fit into their image, whatever that may be. If it wasn't so sad, it would almost be comic. With so many people leaving network TV for other outlets, CBS throws out a show that could only grow in fan loyalty and in stature.
And finally, I feel that CBS's shot-sightness could be USA's gain. Every single one of the devoted fans would follow this show to any outlet that would be smart enough to pick it up. USA, please make it you!

Like everyone else here, I am so drawn to Moonlight. I have never been much of a television watcher until this show came on the air. Because of this I even watched Ghost Whisperer and Numbers because they were on the same channel and same night. I would love to see Moonlight find a home on a network that supports edgy television series like Burn Notice and Monk.
Go for it USA...you get all of us watching your other shows too!
