According to Ted's imdb page, Ted has a role (uncredited as the Warden) in "Shutter Island" (based on the novel by Dennis Lehane, who wrote "Mystic River"). Directed by Martin Scorsese. I read and loved "Mystic River"; I could not, at all, get into "Shutter Island" (and I still have never finished "The Assassination of Jesse James ...")!

I knew that true Geisha were *not* prostitutes, but because I also am fully aware that I lack the knowledge of the culture to explain it and get it right, I thought it was best not to try. One person may interpret Geisha as prostitutes, and all sex as degrading, but it doesn't make it true for all people, or in many cases, or anywhere outside of their opinions. These people should not labor under the belief that just because they say something is so that it is. It is only their opinion, certainly miles away from my own and probably a whole different reality from the truth. You can't make an informed argument without being reliably informed, and half watching a documentary doesn't qualify, especially if you allow your own personal feelings to influence how you interpret the facts.

I know for a fact I'd rather be talking to you lovely people than 90% of my family, friends and co-workers. I love them and all but they really get on my nerves, especially today. I use to watch South Park with my son sometimes and the Cartman character on that series did a imitation of Teds Lamb character but at the time (years ago ) I couldnt place what movie it came from, now it all makes sense to me.

Just the reaction I was hoping for! That picture is from a GQ Magazine spread ~~ December 2002 ~~ where a very eclectic collection of men modelled a very eclectic collection of clothing. That red robe Ted was wearing retailed for $4,000 and the silk pants were $800 (can you imagine Stottlemeyer in silk pants and robe? Oooh, I can!).

OK, heres the thing, I got up at 6am ( have to make hubby special cereal, throat cancer survivor ) go to work, then after work go shopping for Fathers Day and fight those crowds, FINALLY get home,(after 7 hrs on my feet ) cant wait to get online to check out this thread . OMG !!! Yes, I will say it again MONK FANS ARE THE Greatest !!!!!! I love you guys !!!! You know how sometimes if just ONE thing goes right in your day everything doesnt seem so bad ? Actually back in January ( before I joined in here ) we had to call the ambulance and they thought I had a stroke !! I thought I was going to have to call them again !!!!

My hubby is back to work full time now ( although I have to caution him not to over do it ) and all seems to be going well. We have a very good doctor at the University of Michigan Hospitals , he doesnt take in just anybody so we were very lucky to get him. Hubby had stage 4 cancer and wasnt given much of a chance, he is very lucky and all the doctors involved say it is just a down right miracle !!

I was in the ER with my Mom for four useless hours, so coming here and seeing my red hot Ted is a quick pick me up, ahem.

4theCaptain, I wish your hubby well. My bro-in-law is a 5-year survivor of throat and mouth cancer. He still has some problems eating certain foods but he's doing very well, he'll turn 81 at the end of this month.

It was found that I have an irregular heartbeat, a couple of different terms for it . I have a cardiologist that I trust. After a day in the hospital and several thousands of dollars later, of course. I have to learn to pace myself which is hard because I cant sit still, except for here on this board.

Thank you very much indeed ! My husband was fed through a tube and I had to teach him to eat again starting with baby cereal then baby food. He couldnt even swallow , which I am sure you know about. It has been a couple of years of very hard work but he is able to enjoy food again now even though he has to take awhile to eat and needs plenty of fluids to wash it down. He is 56.

Captain, you have my prayers as does everyone here with health problems. Yes, I am familair with the feeding process and I'm well aware of the devastation illness takes on a person. I took care of mom when she was dying from congestive heart failure and took care of dad when he was dying from cancer. It was role reversal, I became the parent. My sisters worked, I didn't back then and I lived right next door to our parents so the task fell on me to take on the weekly care and share the week ends. I hope when my time comes it's swift and sweet.

I'd tell you about the miracle that happed the day my dad passed away but, this isn't the place to put it. I believe in an afterlife now.

Thank you very much I took care of my father for a couple of years before my husband fell ill. My brother had also passed away , so that just left me ( no other siblings ) to take care of dad, then my husband. Sometimes we have more strength and can take on more than we ever thought possible.

Just finished watching a dvd of The Fast and The Furious (the original) with my oldest son. I'd call it The Fast and The Frivilous with the price of gas today. My Lord how times change! I saw Ted Levine and now, and are you sitting down, take a deep breath, hold on now, guess what? You'll never guess the role he played, are you ready?........Here it comes....A COP! Bet you weren't ready for that! I heard Ted Levine has signed up for #4, I hope it's not like this one a #2. Luckily for me, I don't have to worry about my kids stealing my car and street racing it. They'd never be caught dead in my beat to crap old Ford Escort. They'd be laughed off the street. LOL!
