Hello,
My name is Erik and I attend an advertising school in Chicago.
Right now we are currently working on insights.

For example, Nike does research on Why Runners Enjoy Running by talking to runners and getting insight on why they make running such an important part of their life. This information is then given to creative people. The creative people let this true information influence their advertisements.

My assignment is to gain insight on dog show participants/ enthusiasts. This is strictly academic.

So, In conclusion, tell me what you love about dog shows. The good, the great, what's addictive, what's the competition like, rules of thumb, etc.

I am sure the threads from this post will all be very positive and fun to read.
By the way, from doing research on dog shows, it's making me really want a dog!! smile.gif
Thank you for your time.

Hi Bubba here, I like dog shows because of all the different breeds they have. Some of are funny and some are just ugly. laugh.gif Good luck to you on your assignment, by the way. wink.gif

I am a cat person, but I enjoy dog shows because I enjoy seeing well-bred and well-behaved animals.

Erik,

I have read your post here several times, started to respond and then stopped.

The thing is, I'm a second-generation dog show enthusiast ... exhibitor, breeder,
dog-lover, some-times judge (Sweepstakes & Match Shows). I can't tell you in
just a few words why I love it so much and what things I take away from the
sport, it takes up a lot of time and space.

I'm sure this will be the case for a lot of people in the sport. It's not just a hobby
for some of us but a real passion.

Maybe if you posted a list of specific questions for people to respond to, rather
than keeping it so general, you might have better luck?

Best wishes with your project!
