Possible guest stars:
- Stephen Colbert
- Neil Patrick Harris
- S Epatha Merkerson
- Margaret Cho
- Tom and Ray Magliozzi, aka The Tappet Brothers of Car Talk
- Christine Gambito (aka "HappySlip")
Possible cameos:
- Kaga Takeshi, the Chairman of the original Iron Chef, if the show were to ever poke fun of IC. He could even say "Shawn Spencer san no kioku ga tashika naraba" (If Shawn Spencer's memory serves him right) in the beginning flashback. In that vein, any of the Iron Chefs.
- Ira Glass, host of "This American Life"

I loved Gary Cole since Midnight Caller. He was so evil in American Gothic as Sheriff Lucas Buck and made me laugh everytime I watch The Brady Bunch Movie. He is also a great voice over actor and who can forget Office Space? Please get Gary Cole! This man is awesome!

Was Midnight Caller the one where he played a radio dj? I saw a few of those. American Gothic was such a fantastic show, I was so sad when they cancelled it after only one season. I loved Lucas Buck!

Oh yeah, and Office Space is one of my all time favorite movies, I even have a picture of Milton on my MySpace page, lol.

Yes, Midnight Caller was about a guy who people phone in on his radio show with their calls and he would get personally involved if one was how can I say desperate.

I think that the following people should guest star on Psych:
1. Tom Selleck
2. Hugh Laurie: That'll be cool, if he played as House
3. Peta Wilson (She use to play on USA La Femme Nikita)
4. Deon Richmond (I think that would be cool, because he played Bud on the Cosby Show)

I like #'s 2 & 4.
Deon: Hey, did anyone ever tell you, you look like that kid, Bud, on the Cosby Show?!
*insert blank look by Gus*

Bruce Willis. Oh, what they could do there.
Or Bud. Bud would be cool. I totally thought Gus was Bud. Sat there thinking, "He looks so familiar. Who IS he?" I'd never seen The West Wing or anything else he might have been in and had no idea who he could be, but it was driving me nuts. All of a sudden it hit me, "Bud! He was Bud on the Cosby show!" Quick like a bunny I was off to imdb...only to find that though others had thought he was Bud, too, we were all wrong.
I laughed my buttinski off when they did the Bud stuff on the show.

Sarah Brown (as a nod to Corbin Bernsen's run as Carly's real dad on General Hospital) - would play a great murderer; for an extra soap opera twist she could be Shawn's long lost sister
Hugh Hefner - as himself in an episode where Shawn solves a murder of a Playboy Bunny
Shannen Doherty - always a great villain
Munch from Law & Order SVU - would be great to add a conspiracy angle to the Psych mysteries
David Duchovny - played a hilarious version of himself on the Gary Shandling show, would meet Shawn one-liner for one-liner
Donald Faison from Scrubs - could be a great brother to Gus and has a matching bald head
. . . and I concur about the cast of Monk. These two shows are begging for a crossover!

ELIZABETH SHUE as Juliet's Aunt..COME ON
ELIZABETH SHUE
ELIZABETH SHUE
they cannot eff-up the way GILMORE GIRLS did by failing to get GEORGE TAKEI on as Lane's Uncle or Grandpa..him and Emily Kuroda would have been GOLD.
Maggie is THIS GENERATION'S ELIZABETH SHUE...
also Ellen DeGeneres to play like a Sister of Vick's..again..definitely a genetic similarity there, if nothing else, but her voice.
and LEVAR BURTON and or GRANT HILL to be related to Gus somehow. Geordi LaForge should comeback!..the whole BURTON thing could be played upon sohhhhh well with Gus and him.
also they should use something from the band Muse since Maggie digs them and they're a great band (and I'm a fan anyway..dedicated a song to her by them a few weeks ago at a CON doing Karaoke

Stephen Colbert...he's funny.
Tom Selleck...with the Magnum references.
Johnny Depp...since Gus mentioned he used to trash hotel rooms.
Gillian Anderson...because David Duchovny is an a-hole.
Mike Myers....playing a guy named Michael Myers....Shawn will be like, "Dude, you were named after the killer in Halloween."
I love how Shawn & Gus make movie, TV, and actor references.

A significant cameo for Takeshi Kaga, i.e. Chairman Kaga?

I think it would be cool to see some of the actors they mention on the show like Don Cheadle. Obviously, the writers are fans. Having Don there would be so cooll. How about Mr. T?
I'm serious about this next bit... how about Jennifer Love Hewitt in character as Melinda Gordon from Ghost Whisperer? They're two completely different shows, but it's interesting to see the dynamic between a "real" psychic (although Jennifer is more like someone who sees ghosts rather than a psychic) and a "fake" psychic.
In a way, Ghost Whisperer actually did do an episode where Melinda Gordon meets a guy who is highly observant, like Shawn, but mistakes his talent for true psychic ability. It made me start thinking of what it would be like if she meets someone like that in a comedy situation.

Why? She's funny as hell (but not vulgar), especially when she's off the cuff - and she'd make James and Dulé (or anyone else for that matter) do one heckuva Psychout.
Check this out - it's almost like a 5-minute Psychout. The poor interviewers don't even really get to do their interview with her after the first minute or so in.
