Well, that makes sense. I don't know why but I always love the episodes where they go undercover! They always seem to end in a good or intresting way. Does anyone know if the new season will only air on NBC or will it air on USA too?? I have to know because my stupid TV doesn't have NBC and I NEED the new season!!

So I'd think that Elliot goes undercover to get information... if you look at his hand, he's not wearing his wedding ring, but he has some crazy pinkie ring, which is like a stereotypical rich guy, sugardaddy kind of thing. Plus the suit - it is so obviously not his style.

I, too, think that one of Stabler in what appears to be a date with an unknown woman is part of an undercover operation, probably part of the episode "Sugar" with Eric McCormack. The style's not exactly Stabler's, you know? It's a little... I don't know.. frou-frou. Anyway, he's been married for over two decades and has remained loyal all that time, not counting the separation period in which both spouses admitted to seeing other people. I doubt he'd start cheating now, especially with someone who looks about as old as his eldest daughter.

Jessica Walter on SVU: An Arresting Development

Kooky matriarch Jessica Walter (90210, Arrested Development) will guest-star in an episode of Law & Order: SVU in the fall.

TVGuide.com has confirmed that Walter will appear in the third episode, which is titled "Solitary," as a legal-aid powerhouse named Petra Gilmartin. She will have scenes with ball-bustin' new ADA Christine Lahti and Oscar nominee Stephen Rea, who also guests in the episode.

Walter joins an already impressive list of guest stars who will pop into SVU this fall, including Lahti, Rea, Prison Break's Wentworth Miller and Will & Grace's Eric McCormack.

Walter already guest starred as a overpride grandmother in Criminal Intent's season 7 episode "Kissinger", so I'm not surprised she is getting a 2nd Law & Order role.

According to a radio interview last night with Mick (who wrote it), Episode 5 (Hardwired) is supposedly on pedophilia...between trips on set and twitter--it's completely destroyed any sense of going spoiler-free so I figured I might as well contribute what I can...lol. Also, Nancy replied that episode 4 is NOT about Cragen's alcoholism.

That's too bad. It would have be very interesting to learn about why Cragen formed the habbit. Was it peer pressure, work pressure or just because he wanted to feel something other then what he was feeling. The man interests me.

Chris has also appeared on another of the L&O family of shows: Criminal Intent playing Murtaugh in 2007 and is currently excelling in HBO’s True Blood. Bauer convincingly plays the bumbling, home-grown, Bon Temps detective who fell off the wagon last season and right into a pile of bull poop but who may yet come up smelling like a rose in season 2. Last week he accidentally saved Sam’s life though, sadly for the respect craving Andy, no one seems to remember it.

Cragen's habit pre-dates when we first saw him and everyone else in the original series (where Dann Florek originally played Cragen from 1990-'93 plus "Everybody's Favorite Bagman," the original 1988 pilot episode filmed for CBS before being forced out by then NBC-Entertainment head Warren Littlefield in 1993 under threat of cancellation because Littlefield wanted women in the main cast). He notes in I believe "Prescription for Death," the very first episode of the original Law & Order that ever aired on NBC in September 1990 that he had been an alcholic for some time and that Max Greevey (played in the original series by George Dzunzda in the first season of that). who he was partners with previously (before Cragen became Captain) didn't want to unless Don cleaned up his act.

Yes, in Prescription for Death, Cragen is talking about how Max Greevey tried to tell him he wouldn't partner with him unless he joined AA and he has a line that says, "And I told him to mind his own freakin’ business. I was under control. I knew what I was doing. I was just a social drinker. He made me so damn mad, I went out and I had a few social drinks. Couple hours later, I was standing in the middle of Lexington Ave, not looking or acting drunk, but I had my gun pointed at a taxi driver because I didn’t like the way he was honking his horn. Just thought I would tell everyone to keep an eye out for the season 11 promo. I just watched it and it was good for the crappy promos we used to get. Maybe this will be the season of good promos. It isn't up on NBC yet, but someone may put it on youtube soon. Also, tomorrow morning (Thursday) on the Today show there is a Law and Order SVU fan who helped police catch a criminal. Something like that, I was super excited about the promo that I didn't pay much attention.

Thanks for the update. They have been on hiatus since Aug. 24th and will return to work on Sept.8th, the day after Labor Day. They will be continuing filming Hardwired.

What I didn't understand before was how could they film so many episodes so far ahead of schedule but then have one episode a month sometimes followed by three old episodes. Now I know that it's because they are trying to stretch out all of the episodes to last from September until June.

I was studying until I read this. Something called me to this page this evening. This is just beautiful news. I, too, hope they are worthwhile, but how could they not be. Just the heat when Dean gave Liv the option of walking out of Cragen's office handcuffed or not was unbelievable! However, them waking up in bed together would possibly have me tossed right out of my condo. There are rules against any kind of disruptive behavior.
