Spoilers can be deceiving and sides aren't the final script. We just have to wait and see. I agree that Easter Bunny scene would have been idiotic, but I would have loved for it to be in the outtakes on the DVD's.

That is true, but out of all the spoilers from the sides she's provided, only one or two of them haven't happened. One being the coffee scene, and another some scene that made no sense and it was like 5 seconds long. But you are right, we'll have to wait and see. Someone said this is airing like the 21st or something. At the end of the month. Can someone confirm?

I wish they would have recorded that too. It would be something nice to laugh at.

Elliot was standing at the multiplex talking to Cragen about the case when Kathy called. There were also these Agents in the scene discussing the case- there's no continuing page before except the top of the page this scene is in says 22 Continue. The scene does continue on and on about the case to which Elliot goes undercover for. Ever since then there's been no mention of Kathy. I don't even know if she'll be in the episode but since her husband will be in the hospital after being fatal shot, she would have to be there just like she was in Blinded.

I'm trying hard not to jump on any conclusions about the lie that Elliot pulled- I think he was in the moment with this case considering it does sound intense and he talking to these agents and Cragen. I'm not disagreeing with DSR or Kamara either but since there's a lot of scenes/pages missing and I'm sure there's something to make up for it- I'm trying to hold on to my judgements until this episode airs.

Slow Sunday, so thought I would pop over here and see what the discussion was. You all have been busy.

First, yes, sides are pre-production and always subject to change or be excluded from final episode. I use to preference my posts with this fact, but got old, and most know this already.

Second, it is sometimes hard to put the timeline of events together when you are just reading through individual scripts, especially when you are just a little overly excited about a pending episode. As for me was the case in Wild Life. I swear, knowing what we know about Wild Life through interviews, my heart was racing when I started to read this. I agree with SVULovesME, that this will be a cart before the horse type episode. All the Natalie drama will happen in retrospect up to Elliot getting shot. Which by the way, missed this when first read, that after El and Bushido have "lunch", there are few missing pages, but somehow he and Elliot end up in a car. Bushido tells Elliot he does not trust him and tells him to get out of the car. As he does, he says "Take these with you" and puts two bullets into him. We then flash to the teaser scene, but this time added in a car screeching to a halt, driver jumps out and pushes way through the crowd, and we see it's Olivia. This makes more sense to me now, as I didn't catch this before and couldn't understand how Elliot would be in a crowd of people and no one from the squad around. After El is shot is when he comes back to.

Third, my 2cents on the, "tell her I'm in the field" situation. I'm married, I call my husband and he calls me at times when it is not convenient to talk, even times when we are in situations where taking a call would interrupt important business. BUT, we are married, we have children, he and I have always made the time, even for a quick "is it important? No? I'll call you back" type conversation. Granted our jobs are not nearly as intense as what Elliot is dealing with, but to me, it does not show any disrespect to Kathy or their marriage, it just goes to show who Elliot is. A Cop.

I'm with Kamara, I will not judge until I see the final product and it is one thing to avoid calls to your phone, but to blatantly lie and then get a co-worker to communicate that lie, is wrong. I tend to doubt that we will see any further mention of this later in the episode. Elliot probably didn't even think twice about it, if anything Olivia may bring it up.

Last...we still do not know the compromising position...how one of them ends up "almost" completely naked...how they end up posing as lovers..the REAL questions. LOL. Also looks like October is almost set for episodes, so we will not get in Oct. I'm thinking mid-November.

10/7 - US Presidential Debate, no epi

10/14 - Swing (3rd)

10/21 - Retro (4th)

10/28 - unannounced (HOPEFULLY Lunacy!!) (5th)

That leaves Babes, PTSD, and Wild Life

For November we have:

11/4 - Election day, more than likely no new episode

11/11 - 6th

11/18 - 7th

11/25 - 8th? Tuesday before Thanksgiving, so not sure if new epi or not.

If you go by what Neal said he said in the first 8 episodes we will see Wild Life. If you go by production order, which is not the best way to go, Babes would be 6, PTSD, 7 and Wild Life 8. We may be looking at early December for Wild Life...grrrr...

It was a speculated SVU rumor that was suppose to take place somewhere in between season mid 6-8. Here it is:

"There was a spoiler that at the begining of one of the episodes, a priest came to see Elliot because Kathy wanted to know if they still wanted to get back together and Olivia walks past with a dude in a easter bunny suit who flashes them or what not and then the priest somehow knows about Olivia (guessing kathy told him) and has this look on his face like (oh that's your partner hmmmm hint hint)...But that was only one scene that was totally irelevent to the episode so it's understandable why that was cut out. This all is relevent to the episode so the chances of them taking it out complety instead of changing a few lines is very slim" DSR

Interview with Mariska Hargitay on the UK's Hallmark online. (Slight spoiler) Keep in mind that UK viewers are behind in seasons. I assume this interview is recent because Mariska mentions Cynthia's Emmy along with season 10 stuff.

During season 9, there is an episode called "Undercover", which sees you going undercover in search of a rapist. How was it appearing as a victim yourself?

I was nominated for an Emmy© for this episode. It was actually the most difficult episode I have ever filmed in my life. It took me a long time to recover from this episode, and if I was going to show an assault, I was going to show it in all its horror and all its pain, I went to another place.


Benson is very dedicated to her job, and as a result lets it take over her life. Do you find playing such an intense character has a big impact on your life?

It's been a great journey, people say are you bored? I say no I'm not; it's one of the best crime dramas in the world. Not only entertaining but educational too. The role, of course gets me down and this is why I started my own foundation for sexual assault. The show is relentless, we shoot 15 hour days and sometimes on a Saturday too. There was no outlet for me before I started my family, but my 2 year old can take me out of anything! Back then everything was new and I never had to deal with this subject matter - I was getting hit from every angle. People started writing with me and sharing their stories and I realised that a lot of women and men don't think they have anywhere to go.

SVU features crimes which are of a disturbing nature ? Do you still read your scripts and feel shocked by the content and do you separate your character and the actual subject matter?

All the shows are based on truth. So when I started the show I took part in rape counselling. I wanted to know more about the victims and become more equipped. Looking at the statistics I decided that I wanted to do more about it. 1 in 4 women are victims.


SVU is very popular in the UK on the Hallmark Channel and is consistently the highest rated show on the channel. Do you have a message for the UK Hallmark Channel fans?

Keep on watching, it gets better and better - we are all on fire! It's so successful still because we all care as if it was the first ever episode we are filming. Every episode we do we want it to be the best - everyone cares so much, and that makes for a good show. People care about the crime and the show, SVU is like a good book it pulls you in, it draws you in, and you relate to it. It's not a glitzy take on TV, like a lot of the shows are. It's truthful TV. Season 9, there are a lot of great scenes with Chris Meloni and in the next season it gets "sexy" with Benson and Stabler, it's an undercover job, so you have to keep watching.... Also we have great guest stars coming in season 9; don't miss Cynthia Nixon, she won an Emmy© for her performance.

I have to say, for the E/O shipper in me, that just once I'd like to see the hype for something E/O related actually mean something. Mariska's really hocking this idea about a compromising position b/w Olivia and Elliot. Neal Baer has as well. I'd like to see something other than one of them calling the other "honey" or "baby", or watching them force themselves to "hold hands" so that it may seem like they are actually a couple.

I want this to be more than The Easter Bunny from "Sin" and the Coffee Chatter from "Trials."

For the E/K in me? How ultra excited am I that the next new ep will be a total Stabler affair? Completely excited! I will be happy to see both Husband Elliot and Dad Elliot. We'll still get to see Detective Elliot...it'll be an amazing tri-fecta for Elliot fans! Sweet!

Don't forget Son Elliot, we haven't seen him yet.

I just got home from work not too long ago and missed the debates. Did they air a new commercial? Did anyone see it? I was pretty surprised that they didn't show one after last week's episode. They could have done a "Tuesday. In 2 weeks...." kind of thing. I thought that they would if for no other reason than to showcase the fact that Ellen Burstyn will be guest starring. She's pretty high profile. Much more so than Luke Perry.....

I am starting to get excited to see "Swing." I'm happy about all the Stabler-ness (minus Kathleen of course, but whatever). I mentioned the tri-fecta of Elliot in an earlier post, but QueenOlivia mentioned "son" Elliot, which I totally somehow forgot about. So that should be interesting to see as well.

I'm excited for all new episodes pretty much. The ones I am looking forward to most are "Swing" (for above reasons), "PTSD" (I am curious to see Olivia completely snap. I am hoping there will be some good E/O moments where she tells El some, if not all of what happened. PLUS, I'm anxious too see how Cragen will handle her if/when he finds out what happened at Sealview. So far I am under the impression that the only 4 people who know are her, Harris, Fin, and her shrink), and "Wildlife" (I will admit I am excited to see this supposed "sexy" compromising position).

"Lunacy," from the spoilers, sounds pretty good. I'm glad we know where it falls in the air-date shuffle.

I'm confused. By "Son Elliot" wasn't she referring to Elliot, not Eli? We have seen Eli. We haven't seen Elliot's role as a son though.

I did mean "Big" Elliot in the role as the son, but I am looking forward to seeing Eli too....although I wish they would call him EJ.

Whoops sorry! When I first read that I instantly thought Eli; but I now know what you mean and I agree- let's see how Bernadette and her son Elliot would interact. This should be really different for us viewers- we've seen him as a husband, a father, a partner, a cop and now as a son.

Same here. Since the Production Blog seemed to be written just yesterday and before the plans was to have Retro aired after Swing maybe it just didn't get a chance to change it properly yet? From Swing, Retro to Swing, Lunacy, and then Retro.

Can someone please tell me why they are yet to show a preview... or did I just miss it?

I haven't seen a preview for Swing anywhere. I have Fight ready to be recorded on the DVR so I can see it, especially at the end. I'm bracing myself for a disappointment too in case.

"Swing" is the ep with Ellen Burnstyn, right? She's pretty big news.
They've GOT to start promoting, at least starting Sat. night.
Wouldn't you think? I know, they always run the promo Monday morning, sometime during "Regis and Kelly" for Tuesday nights show. So, I'm hoping it will start over the weekend.

After last years series of disappointing episodes based off the trailers...maybe it's better this way? Maybe??

My Regis and Kelly are on FOX not NBC which would be difficult for a separate network to show off another network's show. It's one thing if it's under the network, like USA, Bravo are under NBC for example. Although I do remember once VH1 showing commericals for ABC's General Hospital (that got my attention since I watch it) however I know that VH1 is under MTV so I don't know exactly the deal on that- perhaps since it's mutual it would show everything else on various channels.

Who knows? I think the trailor usually comes out better then the episode itself but it's still nice to see! Makes you imagine every possible scenerio to look forward to the show and see how it unfolds. It's part of the fun.

It showed Elliot's mom answering the door with him standing there with a big smile on his face and he says "hi mom". Then it shows Olivia with Mrs. Stabler with her saying I'm not going to court and anounce to the whole world that I'm crazy. (or something like that) I can't remember the whole thing it went to fast. I was walking into our family room when Stabler on tv caught my eye. I think I seen him punching a wall, I'm not sure. It was on the NBC channel. I've been watching all day for another one so I can tape it, but there hasn't been one.

I've been rather busy this last year. I got promoted, took over a department with 11 staff members, went through 3 management changes and ultimately was laid off. I'm of a mind that the layoff was actually a good thing. I don't have to bang my head against the wall that was my stubborn staff (men who didn't like the idea of reporting to a women who didn't have the same tech experience as they did). I also don't have to deal with my "problem child" any longer (someone who is probably dancing now that I'm gone). And the best? I got paid to leave (i.e. severance).

Granted, I'd rather be working - I HATE daytime TV - and this isn't exactly the economic climate that leaves me feeling confident in replacing the job soon. But I think this will end up being another turning point in my life, one that taught me something and gave me a new direction.

Hopefully I'll be able to stop by more often (it's not like I have a desk-load of work to keep my days occupied ). Take care.
