"Champagne Supernova" - Oasis

Oh, I used to love that song! Good choice!

"Counting Blue Cars" by Dishwalla. Adore the lead singer's voice, and this was definitely their best song!

For some reason I get them mixed up with Fastball. I dunno.

"The time of my life" - David Cook (it's #1 on iTunes so I decided to check it out)

"The Howling" by Within Temptation.

My favorite song by them! Great to listen to loud, there are so many great instruments playing in this one, the music is fabulous. And the lyrics are haunting.

"Cosmos" (a type of prairie flower) by Japanese folk-rock-balladeer Sada Masashi.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oREEC-l6WyE

It's absolutely beautiful and heartbreaking, especially the lyrics:

The pale cosmos, on a autumn day
casually sway in the sunlight
Mother, sentimental these days,
gives a cough in the garden

On the veranda, with the album open
The memories of my youth
over and over, the same story repeats
In a small voice, like a soliloquy

On a calm day in this mild autumn weather
Your tenderness soaks in
I'm getting married tomorrow
And even though I've hardships
In time we'll think nothing of it
"Don't worry," I laugh

When I trace my various memories
I was never alone
But still selfish after all this time,
I'm biting my lips

I had your with my packing for tomorrow
There was a brief moment of cheer
Suddenly dropping tears, "Take care,"
Mother repeats over and over
Trying to grasp for
words of gratitude
I will try to live on my own
On a calm day in this mild autumn weather
For just a little bit more,
Let me be your child

"Itsuka kaze ni naru hi" (The day when I become the wind) by Hajime Chitose:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTzGUIFq3cc

She sings in a very traditional regional style - it sounds like yodeling or some other type of vocalization common in country music styles we know of. Please enjoy!
