ECW star Balls Mahoney was officially released by World Wrestling Entertainment this afternoon. WWE.com wished him well in his future endeavors. Mahoney was one of the few remaining ECW originals still with the company. He was hired for the relaunch of the ECW brand in 2006 and was only used on television a few times since then.

I wish Balls the best of luck. Another ECW legend the WWE treated like a yard dog.

Was Balls even on the ECW that much lately? Its to bad because he is an ECW legend. Maybe its for the better, he wasn't being treated that well assuming that he hasn't had anything for him.

The only thing he ever did major in WWE was when he was Kelly Kelly's Boyfriend.But then his wife had a baby and he took time off to be with her.Last time i saw him was in his match with UnderTaker back before WrestleMania.

The last appearence he made I want to say was late-February, where he jobbed to Big Daddy V.

Thats just a shame. They could have used him and others to try and create some kind of "Extreme" in ECW. It would have been good had they kept him for one last match at ONS no rules.
