can anyone help me with this? I know there were three "Monks" during the show, besides the detective: the one from the family video, showed on It´s on the Air; the one from Mr Monk and little Monk and the one from Class reunion. All plausible ones: according to the age/time, one Monk showed.
But now about Trudy, we have her on Class Reunion too, young Trudy. But then, we have different Trudy´s with almost same age, at Monk´s weeding tape it´s one actress, I believe the same that appears on Cobrta´s eppy, on Mr Monk and Mrs. Monk is other, and at the frames he has all around the house, a third one, right?
I am a bit confused. Why they do not keep the same actress, to make the story a bit more plausible??

There was actually at least one more Monk. There was a flashback in "Marathon."

If I'm not mistaken, they switched Trudy's after they moved filming locations after season 1, but some of the old hands could probably explain better.

And that's not being a pain. Obviously we all love talking about Monk or we wouldn't be here.

Melora Hardin was the actress who played Trudy on the wedding tape and in Cobra and in Mrs. Monk. She's also the one in all the pictures in Monk's Apartment now. Stellina Rusich played Trudy in seasons one and two. I think the reason they switched was because Stellina lives in Canada and it wasn't cost effective for them to keep flying her in when they could just use a Hollywood actress.

There was one other flashback Monk in "Mr. Monk and the Marathon Man".

Melora Hardin also stars in The Office, where she plays a tough, aggressive, intimidating corporate manager - a far cry from sweet, pure, angelic Trudy!

I'd like to see an episode with a flashback of Trudy performing her job. There's no way she could act like she does with Adrian all the time, and still be a hard-hitting journalist. No way.

I love Melora Hardin as Trudy. I think she is an amazing actress in both Monk and the Office. She is truely a talent.

She almost won immortality as Jennifer in Back to the Future, having been cast in the role when Eric Stoltz was slated to play Marty, but when he was axed several weeks into filming and Michael J. Fox was brought on board, the problem came up that Melora was about a foot taller than him, and the filmmakers didn't really want that to play out, and so in the end Claudia Wells (and subsequently Elisabeth Shue) ended up with the role.

Melora Hardin is very good as Trudy. She was also in "Mr. Monk is on the Run" Parts 1 and 2 during the nightmarish car bomb scene.
