They did seem to cram a lot into that episode. I am sure they are trying to make up for lost time due to the strike. I feel a bit sorry for Cameron and Chase. Ever since the new team they haven't been given hardly anything to do. I wish they would either give those characters more to do or cut them from the show. It's getting really crowded.
If they cut anyone from the show, I hope it's the new people. Chase and Cameron were a large part of the success of the show, and I think it would be shortsighted and grossly unfair to Jesse Spencer, Jennifer Morrison and the many fans who love their characters to toss them aside in favor of bland, wooden characters like Thirteen and Taub. I've seen very little support on any of the forums for the new team, and an outpouring of anger and resentment for the changes this season with regard to the disappearance of Chase, Cameron, and the character formerly known as "Dr. House."
I don't understand why things were changed so drastically this season. It's ironic that USA's House Marathon was on the night before a new episode. I'm sure the purpose was to promote the rest of Season 4, but to me it emphasized how much Dr. House has changed - for the worse! Doesn't anyone miss the old Dr. House? The soulful, reflective, damaged, intensely private, driven, puzzle-solving Dr. House? I do!
I always say, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." In my opinion, it's 'broke'
now.
The spoilers for the last two episodes sound very exciting and ambitious. I am cautiously optimistic that things are being turned around.
