I watched it for like the 10th time (hey, had to make it an even number biggrin.gif ) and is one of my all-time favorites. I believe Stanley won a best guest actor Emmy for this. I wish the Emmy people would put the best guest actor and actress categories like all the others instead of just announcing their names, but that's just my opinion. I've also noticed I've gotten off track (hee hee).

So many memorable lines and scenes.

How Monk and David are going over "It's a gift...and a curse." ("Put your mouth in my ear") and how Natalie imitates them is hysterical.

When the two Monks are fighting on the floor and the captain says "I can't believe what I'm seeing." That's LOL out loud material!

The scene when Monk and David are going over how Trudy died and Adrian thinks it's his fault that she died and they're both grieving with one another...it's so poignant.

I also loved how in the movie Randy is a girl and the look on the real Randy's face is priceless. Also when "Randy" and the captain are kissing and the real captain says "That never happened."

I think this was a good episode to show because it gives the back story about Trudy and what happened, so that people who aren't that familiar with "Monk" can kind of understand why Adrian is who he is.

I catch something new every time I watch. I never heard Randy's comment after "That never happened."

"Not even once."

It just struck me as really funny. I can't believe I never heard/noticed it before.

Oh I LOVE this episode! Stanley was great in impersonating Adrian! ROFL!

My favorite scene is where Adrian goes over to Natalie's house in the middle of the night and just needs someone to talk to about David. I love the line where he's talking about how David made him "Eggs with the yolk exactly in the center! Exactly! He used a ruler, just like I do!" laugh.gif

Another hilarious part is when David goes to the car dealership and confronts the killer, thinking that he killed Trudy. The cops are preparing to shoot, and Leland thinks Adrian is inside holding the killer hostage. He starts yelling "That's Monk in there!" and then Adrian walks up behind Randy and says "What's going on?" Randy says "Well, now that's just weird!"

Oh that scene at the end with Adrian and David is so so sad! I think I cried the first time I saw it!! How terrible for Adrian to be getting better and suffer a setback like this. Although obviously what David said was pure speculation (how did he know that Adrian had told her he was tired? I guess Adrian explained it all to him and David just came to that conclusion), it broke Adrian's heart, thinking he was responsible.

I LOVED the part where he's in Dr. Kroger's office and Dr. Kroger is being so comforting and kind to him, telling him that it will be okay. That was so cute how he suggested Adrian go back to meeting with him Mon, Wed and Fri and Adrian kept adding the other days of the week, until he came to Sunday.

Sigh... I miss Stanley so much! sad.gif
