I got this snippet from Lee Goldberg's blog. He mentioned that he was meeting with Andy Breckman and a reader asked Lee to ask Andy about how they would handle the "Kroger" matter. Lee replied that he didn't have to, that he already knew, and that his lips were sealed.
Pure speculation on my part, but if the writers were simply going to "retire" the doctor or write him off into the sunset, why would that be such a big secret?
Logically, it would seem that this was a two fold dilemma: how to handle the untimely passing, and the question of do they/do they not create a new shrink.
My hunch? First, I'm guessing now that they're going to add a new shrink. Second, as a writer, dramatically, I know what I would do.
Very interesting.
So what we can conclude is that they've decided how they're going to deal with it, have notified everyone officially concerned, and have asked them not to reveal it.
The question is why?
My hunch? They consider it to be too close to the passing of Stanley Kamel to make such an official announcement. The fact that they're not talking about this publically says nothing to me about what they decided.
Strangely enough, I find comfort in the fact that they've addressed and worked through the issue, even if they have not yet revealed what they decided.
I'm thinking they may come out with something official after a little more time. At least I'm hoping they do. The fate of Stanley Kamel is sadly sealed. But fans are still worried about what will happen to Dr. K. Give us a little closure please?
