I didn't really want to start a new thread as i'm a noob but here goes..

At the moment there is no space for 4400 on the TV calender and maybe leaving it for a while is a good thing. Don't get me wrong I love the show. But up against BSG and LOST aswell as HEROES is stiff competition indeed and those shows are very slick and beautifully done, there are only so many shows that can capture the publics imagination at one time. On the subject of LOST. That show will die a death and teach the greedy networks that too much of a good thing is bad and the wheels seem to have come off that excellent show..shame, real shame...

If I was in charge of 4400 I would sit on it and have a really good think about wrapping up the show in maybe another two seasons but there's no rush. You never know with these things, the writers may have hit a brick wall with where to take the show or maybe they fell out of love with it? It's down to budgets too and 4400 is way behind the series I have mention above which have massively "raised the bar" For me the end of S4 is no ending at all...merely a pause, or at least it should be

All in all I agree with you all, it is a great show and great concept. I would even say that Heroes has heavily taken from the show with regards to people having abilities. You could say Heroes has stolen 4400 thunder and I would be a bit annoyed if I was USA...maybe they are haha

If the writers do have another crack at another season or two then for me, they will have to pull their finger out and I hope they will accept that challenge and come back strong in another year or two.

Good luck writers (wink)

We're hoping it comes back too.

Considering that the 4400 normally airs in the Summer (at leat in the US), there really is no conflict with the shows you mentioned. Also considering USA are showing reruns of other shows, there appears to be room on the schedule for the 4400.

I have a big suspicion that HEROES (on the same network that owns USA) is a HUGE factor in the decision to can the 4400. That and drop in viewership.

Your statements regarding LOST are false. That show already has an end date in 2010 so that the show can wrap up properly. DIe a death..hardly. End where the story ends (hopefully satisfatorily) most definitely.

I'm having my doubts now as some of you, well a lot of you are obsessed. What's with the stupid games? 4400 this 4400 that... honestly it's sad...

What's with the stupid games? .

If you must know, after years of talking about our favorite show while it was being aired and MANY heated debates that occurred along the way, the games were designed as a place to go to just chill and have fun and get away from the intensity that some of the topics created, as well as keep in touch during the off season. Do you really have a problem with that? If so, that's sad!
amerirish
Seriously, what's wrong with having some fun while we still have a chance? The games are a breath of fresh air for loyal fans to blow off some steam and enjoy the community feeling of this board. Why do some people have to be so abrasive?
Promicinjunkie
'Cuz they're jackasses who equate loyalty with unyielding zealotry...

*Oops! Did I say that outloud? blink.gif *

In their defense, I think they think people who participate in the games post in these boards just for the games and do nothing to contribute to the campaign at all. But that doesn't justify the animosity all the same.

In that case, that is a HUGE assumption on their part. Many of those who play the games also play a major role in the campaigns. wink.gif

Mr Muggles-don't waste your time suggesting anything different on this forum. The BOSSES will just block you or attack you-As sad as it is-The 4400 is over and we all have to let it go! The actors and writers have moved on and I am sure will go on to other important roles. All Good Things must come to an end! PS I agree the games are just a waste of time and energy!

Well, speaking for myself I play the games and join in on the campaigns too. The games have the side-effect of keeping the forum active, and I recall reading hearing somewhere that USA used the forums' activity as one way of judging their shows' popularity. I don't know how true it is, but posting can't hurt. smile.gif

What else would you have us talk about in a 4400 forum. biggrin.gif

The forum's been here long before the cancellation of the show. As have most of the members. And the games. Go visit any forum and you'll find similar things. Call it obsession if you want, but what I call it is typical forum activity. And there's nothing wrong with having fun in between trying to save the show. Any bit of antagonism against that doesn't help.

I will end this discussion by saying that I have been (or was) the LEADER in the movement to bring the show back and am still active in the campaign. Also, I've been participating in the game threads for YEARS.

So, all of the new members are welcomed to the board and are encouraged to participate in the campaign to bring the show back, but save your criticism and focus your energy on writing letters to the network.

Bit touchy in here aren't you laugh.gif It's not like I took anyones ball away blink.gif

Thank you, MrMuggles. Not that long ago a new poster came on and viciously attacked the game threads. Your comments were in no way vicious but the previous experience I think left us all a bit touchy. I apologize to you for that. smile.gif

There's a games section?

Anyway, Mr. Muggles, the writers never hit a brick wall. They were always eager to keep developing the show in new directions to comment on the human condition with fierce political insight. Ira Behr, the head writer and genius, was heart-broken over the show being cancelled. He's a real artist and wouldn't sell out like J.J. Abrams and those "Lost" writers to keep things formulaic. There was always more to tell and he was excited to do it. It's too bad the network didn't care enough about the show to promote it. I saw Monk on Conan O'Brien all the time, but I've never seen any of this show's amazing cast on NBC Universal talk shows. I could run a better ad campaign!

I agree, I REALLY HATE IT when these networks start a new series and then cut it off. I loved 4400 and to put us through all of this watching and guessing on the internet to decifer the code each week and then waiting about 10 months in-between each season is rediculous and we want our 4400 back RIGHT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So if you all are done screwing with the loyal viewers and let us know if the 4400 is coming back or not, we would really appreciate it!

Thanx

I beleive...

Many of us fans could have handled the cancellation of this fine series much better if we had been given a "SERIES FINALE"

The series had shown for 4 seasons. WE should have at least DESERVED a SERIES FINALE!

That is what makes me personally UPSET with Scott, the cast, the producers & the USA network. We didn't get a series finale to close out the story.

You have left us up in the air... its like reading a good book and cutting out the last chapter.... like watching "CASABLANCA" and leaving out the last 10 mintues...

Since The 4400 is a show produced by a company owned by Francis Ford Coppola. Its like watching "The Godfather" and not getting the last 30 minutes of his fine film.

ITS JUST WRONG!

WE WANT OUR SERIES FINALE!
