Who would like to see an episode where we meet them, assuming there's any of them left? If nothing else, it would be an interesting opportunity to contrast their reactions to his union with Natalie with the Davenports' less than enthusiastic reception.

That's a great idea. Natalie never talks about her mother in law (Julie's grandmother) or her brother/sister-in law (assuming she has them). I'd love to see that explored too.

A fourth. Now refresh my memory. One of his parents is dead, was it his father?

Yep it's Mitch's father, (Natalie's father in law) She tells Monk about it in the Mr. Monk and the Birds and the Bees...

No..unfortunately...

Yeah, that would really help to add more depth to both Natalie and Julie. I cann't remember, what ever happend to Trudy's parents? We saw them in the Quiz Show one.... Did they and Monk have a falling out? I'm really suprized at how much I'm forgetting!

I wouldn't mind seeing Trudy's parents again either, especially when Monk get's closer to solving her murder.

I don't remember any falling out -- only that it brings back painful memories for Adrian.

I don't remember Adrian and his father in law having a falling out either. In fact, in the game show he kind of saved Trudy's dad when they caught the game show host. I loved it when her dad said "Thank you" and Adrian replied "Thank you for Trudy."

Indeed, it's quite clear he has a great rapport with Dwight and Marsha, so in all likelihood there just hasn't been that much of an impetus for him to see them since then, at least not on camera. One can infer by Monk's reactions in the episode that they simply don't meet up that often in the first place.

I sort of suspect that Mitch's mom is dead, too and has been for a while. In Three Julies, Natalie tells Julie that her name came from Mitch's Aunt Julie, who she said practically raised him. It is possible that she left and abandoned Mitch, but I prefer to think that she died. At least if she died, it wasn't the same as abandoning him, she didn't choose to go. But that doesn't really give us even an idea about whether or not Mitch had brothers and sisters. It's possible that Julie is the last of Mitch's family.

Did Natalie ever say that Mitch`s body was found ? If not, they could always have Mitch come back via soap opera style. I know the shipper`s won`t like the idea. rolleyes.gif

You're right. smile.gif As a shipper I would hate the idea of resurrecting Mitch. He's has been gone this long, he should do the noble thing and stay dead. But I would like to see Monk look into the details surrounding his death and restore his honor -- if only for Julie's sake.

I think Mitch should have his name cleared. This would take a big load off of Natalie, and Julie would never have to know that her father`s honor was questioned.

For sure. I know it's killing Natalie to keep that terrible secret.
