You need to explain nicely, of course, that you only have 1 more chapter to go then he will get all your time and he can speak to you all he wants, but right now you need to focus and write this one last chapter. Knowing this is the 'last' chapter of Haven is kind of sad. I'm having so much fun with the suggestions, comments and friendship that I hate to see it end.

Well, since you're having fun and we're having fun, the next logical step would seem to be to write another story. I hear Mike has been trying to get your attention. And I know that there must be more for Bobby and Charli since I doubt that you can fit in labor, delivery, diapers, toilet training, first day of school, Little League, ballet classes, high school, dating, and walking his daughter down the aisle all in one more chapter.

Who said you hafta stop at chapter 6? I prolly did but if Bobby keeps talkin', you keep typin'.

The funny thing about that is - Bobby's interested in reading Charli's 'journals' that he's just found out she's been keeping (she's not ready for that just yet so we'll see how that plays out) and I do have an 'epilogue' that's been playing in my head - it may become a sequel once Mikey gets his say.



I think I've kept everyone wondering who the 2nd stalker/driver of the car is long enough, don't you? I think I'll finish up chapter 6 and then do a follow up later on. If my 'beta' is willing -

Thank you Jeanine - I have always just written for my own pleasure so having people want to read make me want to keep going. Hopefully, the inspiration continues. (I'm very glad I'm not a shipper, too. Goren simply does not belong with Alex in a romantic context, imo).

At first I thought a little boy but I heard CN say the name "Molly" yesterday and I could just picture him being so out of his element with a child to begin with and little girl would be someone that would just melt his heart.

You know, in Senseless, although this is a teenage girl not a little girl, I love the scene at the hospital when Logan is asking her questions while she is still on the ventilator. When he pats her hand and says, "OK, darlin'", it makes me want to cry.

I remember that scene, too. I remember how sad he seemed and how it touched me when he says at the end about how they comfort people all the time and it's just words but sometimes it really 'gets to him'.

I think you'll have more fun with a sequel, so you won't feel "trapped" in "Haven". I want it to continue to be a place you enjoy being, like we do.

OK - the spoiler pic has ruined any and all chances of negotiations now! That was really scary! (j/k) I laughed out loud and everyone wanted to see what was going on but I couldn't explain it if I tried so now they all just think I'm having a mental breakdown.

My coworkers are beginning to not even notice when hysterical laughter comes from my little cubicle.

I'm usually very quiet so when they heard the laughter they all came running into my office thinking something was up - but how do you even try to explain what goes on here? I don't even try anymore. No one in my real life knows that I have even written a story, let alone have it posted for people to read it.

I'm OK with my friends/family here at the forum reading it, but it's way too 'personal' for me to let anyone in rl see - does that make sense?

Yes, that makes sense. But I was just the opposite. I gave it to a couple of friends and one of my sisters to read first. Its kind of grown. Now both my sisters have read it and its making its way around to my nieces, and I've lost track of how many coworkers have it. But I was more nervous about posting it here. Its just a story to my family and friends. But here on the board know the LOCI characters and canon of the show.
Personally, I think your RL friends and family would enjoy your story, Judy. Even if they don't watch the show, I think that Bobby and Charli are interesting and intriguing all on their own.

Ahh, see that's where our lives are different. My family is very close but if my sisters don't 'get' the reason for something to them it doesn't matter. They have never understood my need to put things in writing and have never been supportive so they don't even know I still try my hand at it. They think it's something I gave up a long time ago. My son knows that I continue to write but has no interest in reading it since it's a 'love' story in his eyes - and I'd prefer to keep it here with people who understand. And I think the fact that I am so shy it's hard for me to reveal my 'writing' to them anyway. It's my thoughts out there for them to judge.

If I hadn't posted it here, it would still be 'unread' on my laptop for my own pleasure. That's why the reaction I have received is such a surprise/shock/pleasure all rolled into one and I love sharing it with the folks here who are reading it. The fact that Charli has become special makes me feel wonderful. The fact that I'm being bribed not to harm her or the twins is beyond anything I would ever have imagined happening.

That, my dear, is one of the great pleasures of having an office all to myself.






Do you know, I was scared to death to post my story here, and even more so to let my hubby read anything I wrote. Hubby surprised me, and has been really supportive of my writing. In fact, the two of us are working together on a sci-fi/fantasy novel that has been knocking around in my head for a few years! People will surprise you!

Sunday, March 18.............I really don't like Charli working so much. She needs to rest up for herself and the twins......twins, a boy and a girl! I can't wait to be a Daddy and Charli is already such a great Mommy, if I could only get her to slow down and rest more! I think I did my part today. I let her sleep in, then brought her breakfast in bed with the newspaper, and even read the Sunday Comics out loud to her while she ate. We read the paper together and spent several hours discussing the headlines, opinion pages and world happenings. She surprised me with a rousing debate over sports! I love her so much........

She wanted to go downstairs for lunch, followed by a slow walk hand-in-hand through the neighborhood. I was agreeable to that, but NOT to her wanting to go grocery shopping. I took her back home, propped her up on the couch with lots of pillows, and gave her a very long foot massage. After that she asked for a neck and shoulder rub. Her lower back has really been bothering her, so I surprised her by telling her I had visited a massage therapist on my lunch break last week and tried out some of the tips and techniques he showed me. Charli says she felt so much better that I now have to do her lower back every day! Anything to help her feel better.

I sent out for shrimp toast and lo mein from her favorite Chinese take-out. She gave me that huge smile, just over the shrimp toast. It's so nice to be able to make her smile.

More snuggles on the couch after supper led to.........

*flashymom begins to blush and feel embarrassed*.... slams diary shut.

Now I know why Judy has such a difficult time trying to write her story. Bobby wants her to put that on here? Maybe I should just leave the diary on the table and they'll find it the next time they come in here to work.....

::flashymom hurriedly cleans off the table, and leaves the book in the middle, where Bobby will be sure to find it.....cleans the rest of the room, and leaves with the bulging trash bag......

When I was younger, all I remember is my sister making fun of me for trying to write - it may be one of the reasons I'm so uncertain about posting here in the first place (again you have spook and cifan70 to thank for that!) - I don't think I could open myself up for ridicule in rl if my sisters were to take issue with my 'past time'. I'd rather keep it here among friends where I feel safe.



OK - that's got to be the 'dummy' journal Bobby leaves around for curious george's cuz THAT is not what they did Sunday morning, trust me! Charli wrote all about it in her journal and it could make a sailor blush! She was blushing as she wrote it and hid it under the mattress as soon as she was done!

(How sweet that FM remembered Charli loves shrimp toast! You have no idea how good you ladies make me feel! )

Your sisters don't have to understand what you do and they don't even have to be supportive, but to make fun of someone because they don't get it... That's just wrong. You're good at this, and time and WRITING MORE, will only make you better. You might consider signing up for NaNoWriMo in November.
