My family enjoyed Monk and Dr. Kroger's banter on the show. His level-headed answers, and mostly questions portray a sensible counselor with a heart. It was encouraging to see his character represent a human being as well as a counselor. He will be greatly missed!!

I agree. The casting crew did a great job on finding the right person for the part. We will miss Stanley.

I agree... I don't think anyone else could portray Dr. Kroger with the "gentleness" that Stanley portrayed him. If they find another "shrink" for Adrian, he will have to work really hard to live up to Dr. Kroger.
