They've done it again. I think it was during the episode where the feds show up in their fancy Black Mariah Crime lab to show up the local yokels and also Mr. Monk is learning the computer. They go racing off to where they think the murderer is. During that scene, the feds' vehicle crossies an intersection. In the background, big as life and twice as ugly is the Los Angeles Deportment of Transportation building. I know that corner well from my business trips to LA. It's the corner of 2d and Spring Streets. Two blocks back of the camera is my hotel. A block further down 2d is the pizza parlor where I eat a lot. As Monk is supposed to live in San Francisco, errors like this are kind of glaring.

It just seems incredible to me that, with all the money and attention the producers put into making the show so good, someone doesn't notice things like this. The LADOT building is very distinctive, being all glass and with a big number "100" on the side. Can't possibly miss it.

It's still a great show, and maybe they do things like this once in a while to see if we are watching. As recent converts to the Tao of Monk, we enjoy the show immensely and are so glad that they are taping Season 7.

Hi Bubba here, I think the episode you are referring to is Mr. Monk and the Really, Really Dead Guy. From what I heard filming in San Francisco is not cheap and don't filmed there that much. Teresa could explain it better, she knows these things. wink.gif

Since I have never been to LA, I didn`t know the difference. I think it is good to show those kind of scenes in SF. But, I`ll take Monk anyway I can get him.
