"Liv, could ya pass the donuts?" Elliot whispered.
"Oh, I suppose..." Liv threw a donut at El's head. They laughed. Munch looked at them with dissapointment.
"Do you know what you just did..." Liv cut him off...
"Let me guess...some guy somewhere, who happens to work for the government...is trying to sabatage us with these donuts...and us throwing them around is knocking their spyware all out of whack!" Munch turned away in annoyance. Liv smiled and play along.
"Yeah, jeesh, how will we ever find their planet if we can't trace back there translocaterlisten-in-on-earthings device."
"Laugh now, but one day..." Munch whispered venomously...
"One day you'll what...learn..." Fin said as he bit down on the donut that had so precariously bounced off of Elliot's head. Everyone laughed, 'cept Munch who turned back to his corner of the world in silence, and obvious loathing.

Cragen stepped outside his office and spoke. "Liv, El...we've got a call on a seventeen year old girl that was raped." Liv grabbed her coat, and the donut adventure was soon forgotten.

Elliot and Liv got out of the car and walked up to the ambulance. Elliot looked in and gasped.

"What is it?" Liv asked urgently.

"It's my daughter. It's Maureen."

Elliot said next to his daughter. Kathy was in Alaka on a cruise with her new boyfriend "Bill." Liv watched from outside the door. Maureen laid in bed still. Her eyes had been damaged by a blindfold that had been tied to tight across them. She couldn't see. Elliot reached for her hand but she pulled back violently.

"It's me...dad...Elliot..." Maureen sunk into the sheets. He tried to hold her hand but she again pulled away. Elliot's eyes swam. He walked briskly out into the hall.

"El, she can't see...she's scared...give her time." Elliot looked at Liv.

"I want the bastard that did this!" Liv shook her head.

"Do you think that it was someone you put in jail, that is coming back for revenge."

He nodded and it looked like a light bulb came on in his head. "Just last week Juan Santos got out of jail. I put him away from five years. He said it was consentual but the court didn't believe him."
"How old was the girl..." Elliot looked at her.

"Ten."

This is good. I hope Elliot finds whoever did this to his daughter, and beats the unliving hell out of him.

Elliot paced back and forth. Liv had long ago stopped trying to convince him that Maureen was going to be fine. He cracked his knuckles with every fifth step. Liv finished the cold coffe in her "Denny's Joe" cup and flung it the trash can.

"Come on El... sit down for a bit." She said as she flipped through the Reader's digest.

"Can't." was all he said. Liv understood how he must feel. But she also knew that when El went into a fit he coudl get out of control.

At that moment the doctor walked out of Maureen's room with a clipboard. Elliot was standing next to him before he latched the door.

"Well..." Liv soon caught up.

"What's the damage doctor?" Liv said slowly. The doctor looked at her, as he wsa avoiding the glare from Elliot.

"She was some cuts and bruises, nothing too bad though. She did have a cracked rib, but it will heal on its own. She was more phsycologially damaged than physically. We had to give her a small seditive to do the exam."

Elliot turned away. Liv asked the question they both knew needed to be asked.

"Any fluids?" The doctor looked sympathetically at them.

"Sorry, who ever this was knew the system. She was all clean. And I mean clean, no fibers, no hair, nothing. Not even skin under the fingernails!."

Liv looked questioningly at the doctor.

"He clipped her nails afterwards..." Elliot stormed out of the waiting room. Liv let him go.

Please continue, poor Maureen!! I hope they get this slimball and lock him up. If it's the dude Elliot locked up.. if he held a grudge and thinks that this was a good way of revenge he's stupid. Cause, he went to jail for rapping a ten year old and even if he didn't do it.. he shouldn't have done this to Maureen. Even though he's seen as a rapist in everyone else's eyes he at least knew he wasn't.. but now if he did this he is. That just makes him a peice of crap. This is what I hate about prisoners who get out and try to get revenge. You should try to settle it with the detective if it bothers you that bad. I know I would. && I wouldn't want pity.. or revenge. I'd just want respect, I'd be heated and mad.. but I'd get over it. Arr.. people are messed up.

"She won't even let me touch her." The captain put his hand on Elliot's shoulder.

"It's normal. She's been through a lot..."

"I'm her father!" Elliot shouted. The Captain looked at him.

"She's a rape victim. Her world's been turned upside down. Give her time to heal." Elliot let those words sink into his brain. He knew, even though they were harsh, they were right.

Liv walked in with the an armful of files. "All our cases in which the perps are out on parole." Elliot took half the pile and went to his desk.

"Liv," Cragen said. "Go to the hospital and see what Maureen can tell you. Let Elliot stay." Liv nodded, grabbed her coat, and escaped out the back way. Elliot, noticing nothing, was already thumbing through the third file.

Liv walked cautiously into the hospital room. Maureen turned away.

"My dady sent you?" she said angrily.

"No, my captain." She sat down gently on her bed.

"Maureen, can you tell me what happened?" Maureen looked out the window.

"No."

"Hunny, we need it to prosecute the guy who did it." Maureen gave no indication of hearing her. "Can you describe him?"

"He was black. Tall. Twenty or thirty." she said quietly.

"Just one guy?" Maureen nodded. They sat in silence for a while.

"He raped me again, and again, and again." She said as the tears and sobs shook her body. Olivia grasped her in a hug. The door slammed open as Elliot flew in the room. Maureen looked horrified and pushed Olivia away. She scrambled to get away. To the wall...far away from him... Ellio took a step back as he saw Maureen's reaction.

"Baby, it's me. Dad." Olivia look wearily at Elliot. He took a step closer. Maureen pushed herself as far as she could into the corner of the bed. Ellio looked confused. Maureen looked mortified.

Maureen started to cry. "Go away, please, no more..." She drew into herself, rocking with her hand around her knees.

Liv guided Ellio outside. His anger at her leaving him at the precinct left.

"Liv, I don't understand..." Liv looked into Elliot's eyes with despair.

"Neither do I."

"She told me has was a black guy, young, twenty or thirties." Elliot looked at Olivia. His weariness showed through his mask of determination.

"Its Juan Santos, I know it."

"Juan sounds like a Mexican name to me." Fin said.

Munch looked at him as if he has spit fire. "Many black people name their kids Mexican names, especially if their partners are hispanic or spanish origin." He sounded as if he was reciting WikiPedia.

"Juan's dad was black and his mom was Spanish, he looked black though." Liv said to rap the conversation up.

Cragen walked out of his office. "Juan Santos was just seen walking by a kid's school. Go pick him up."

"Juan Santos...It's been a while. I bet on three weeks, so I guess I owe Elliot five bucks, as you've only been out what, three days?." Liv said.

"Four." he said in satisfaction.

Elliot staid on the outside window. LIv and Cragen knew he wouldn't be able to control himself. Elliot flipped around and looked at Cragen. "I need some air."

Cragen nodded. "Why don't you take the rest of the day off." Elliot nodded and rushed out.

Elliot knocked on the hospital room door. Maureen was sitting up looking at the wall. She cringed when she saw him. He held up his hands in some display of peace.

"I'm not going to hurt you." He said. He stepped closer. She sunk down but staid in the bed. He got as close as he dared.

"Do you know who I am?" She nodded as if asked a stupid question. He smiled.

"Who are you afraid of?" These magic words lifted into the air and found their way into Maureen's ear drums. She started shaking and throwing her head back and forth.

"I won't.... I won't...I promise." she clasped her eyes tight. Elliot quickly grabbed her shoulders and shook her.

"Who did you promise, who? what did you promise?" She opened her eyes.

"Oh, dad...I promised him I wouldn't tell you, or he said he'd kill you. He said he didn't want to see you near me. I couldn't let him kill u..." She fell into Elliot. He felt her tension release as he held her tight. She hid her face in his jacket.

"Who?" He whispered.

"He said his name was Jaun..." she said so quietly he almost didn't hear.

Elliot quietly left the hosptial room. Maureen had fallen asleep and Elliot was going to question Juan.

His police car couldn't go fast enough. Elliot slipped into the office. Cragen was in his office studing his Solotaire game. He was so close to the lucky card, he didn't notice Elliot walking in.

"Liv, Maureen confessed. It was Juan." Liv looked mortified.

"We just let him go. He was 504 feet away from the school." Elliot rolled his eyes.

"Four feet and he'd be in violation. Isn't that enough?" Liv shook her head.

"Let's go get him." Elliotn nodded and they rushed out of the precinct.

"Ahh, Maureen. You didn't seem to listen to me when I told you...did you." Maureen lay mortified in the hospital bed. He had taped her mouth and hands. The blinds were closed and the windows latched. For all the nurses knew, "Carlos Santingo" was just another visitor to Maureen Stabler.

"You should have listened." He walked around the bed and gently caressed her face with his pointer finger.

"So pretty..." he said more to himself than to her. "Too bad..." Her eyes bulged as she tried to scream. This attempt only made him laugh. He touched her face and she violently shook to get him off. At that moment the door banged open and Liv and Ellio held guns up.

"Drop the weapon, Santos." Juan looked around for an escape route. None.

"Drop it, or I'll shoot." Juan, thinking better of himself, dropped the weapon. Elliot flung himself upon him, banging Juan's head against the floor.

"Juan Santos, you are under arrest for the rape of Maureen Stabler, resistance to arrest, and bringing a fireweapon into a hosptial." Elliot sneered. "I'll make sure you never see the light of day again." He threw hiim to his feet.

"Oh yeah, and for being stupid." Liv said. "You left your DNA at the precinct on a Pepsi bottle." Juan growled. Elliot smacked him.

"Shut up."

Yay it's Elliot and Liv to the rescue.

Liv smiled at Elliot. He smiled back. Jaun was sitting a jail cell with his lawyer and Casey.

He pleaded out and would recieve 25 years in prison without parole, then he can have parole if he hadn't screwed up again. Elliot was sure that he would.

"It's going to be okay." Liv said.

"I know, but Muareen..." his sentence faded.

"Give it time. You did the right thing. She's come to you when she's ready." Liv said. Elliot nodded.

"It's going to be okay." Liv pleaded. Elliot looked at her and smiled.

"I know. Now do you want to tell Mauree, or should I?" Ellio said softly. Liv held out her hand.

"Let's tell her together." Elliot smiled sincerely this time and grasped her hand.

"Deal." So together they told Maureen how Juan would likely be in jail till her was 50. They told her that it was going to be okay. They smiled. They laughed. Maureen even joked about college next year. But deep down they knew that everything had changed, for the better or worse only time would tell.
