I saw this done on the NBC board and I thought why not try it on here. If it's not liked then the admin can shut it down but maybe this way fights won't break out and episode threads can be shorter.

If anyone finds issues in episodes, actors, characters, and anything else that involves SVU then I say dump it in here. Let it all out in one location. I hope people use this thread...if not then that's up to you.

Yes, m'am I do have an issue. These two amazing goreous people named Elliot and Olivia are blind and don't know they love each other. But, 50,000 other people know they love each other. So, my solution is we all pitch in and buy them some REALLY strong glasses! Also, another issue I have is an amazing blonde ADA is bailing on us AGAIN.. hopefully Dani hasn't studied to become an ADA or whatever.. that'd kinda suck.. && it'd kinda be funny. My solution is they lock Casey in the courtroom! Trust me dawlin' I've gotz more.. ooooh another!! They need to open the "Closet" they have like 5 characters that went into the excile .. Munch, Simon, Dean, Maureen, actually pretty much all Stabler kids kinda disappeared..=/, oh and um.. what about Donnelly?! Damn.. Donnelly dissappeared.. aww.. Yeah.. we needa rescue these peeps && then go get Alex who's prob bored outta her skull.

I disagree. We have got to learn how to talk with one another. And we also have to learn that we can't get pissed because someone does not share our opinion. If everyone on this board agrees all the time, only 1 person is needed. How fun would that be?

I don't want to have to go to another post to reply to what someone has said about an eppy. I want us to discuss it, and even if we don't find common ground, at least we had fun talking about it...

That's the key phrase "We have got to learn" and I have seen it go on and on and on and on and still nothing is done. People still get into fights, still can't agree and still think their word is the one that is heald truth. Nothing and no one is allowed to disagree and we are all wrong for doing so. I have been apart of this board a lot longer then you have and I have seen the change, so has Irisheyes. If seperating the negative from the positive is the only way to fix this then that's what I am going to try.

I actually like this idea… it’s good especially for people who have had consistent negative opinions of the current season. Although I do enjoy the occasional disagreement, I find it a bit irritating when I go to a thread to discuss an episode and it’s mysteries, yet end up defending each and every episode. It’s quite exhausting… I don’t feel like I’m chatting with fans, I feel like I’m chatting with harsh critics!



I don’t see why people would have a problem with this thread. Some say it will cause fights… I say we can put all of these “fights” in one thread as oppose to a handful of threads. Also, I wouldn’t understand why anyone would have a problem posting their negative opinions here unless of course there was a deeper meaning to what they are doing.

Hmmm...I am not sure it will work. I can understand the desire ti keep it contained, I think it will work in theory but not practice.

The reason I say this is that most debating starts with episodes, and although I agree the nitpicking and long drawn out crtiques are teadous sometimes, they have a right to be posted on that episode thread. Once the post/book is published there will of course be rebutal responses, which will create more rebutal and so on.. I can't see anyone actually saying lets take this the the "issue" thread.

I agree with Andrea, we have to learn to work with in each thread. There are certain topics that people will always disagree on and a seprate thread will not change that.

Well the thread is here. Use it or not, that's up to everyone...I am just tired or reading negativity. When I first joined this board, it was like my haiven. Now it doesn't even seem worth coming on here anymore...

I totally agree with you...and I said that before in one of the episode threads about everyone agreeing will make this board boring...I don't mind discussing different aspects of the show and I see people looking to discuss something, but when a different view is presented, that view isn't discussed, it is slammed by all who disagree with it...

And Mary is right...this board did become negative in the last 6 months or so...but what people have to realize is that we can't see your face or hear your voice when you post and most times sarcasm comes off as fighting words when you can only read what is said...just an opinion

Well I agree- it's best that the issue to agree/disagree should be in the topic of choice as long as they remain on topic regarding the episode.

However...I do have one issue overall so might as well use the thread as my advantage.

First, I love Olivia. But...lately I've been having issues with her, especially since season 8's premiere of Informed and Undercover of how she collected evidence when NOT welcomed in the home and without permission and how she kept prodding Ashley who didn't want to talk about her rape or anything else. Is this the same person who was in Popular telling Elliot that they can't ever force anyone to come forward with their rape? Before she respected the wishes not to cooperate and before she leaves, she gives out a good guilt trip and then the person would cave in and spill the details needed to investigate. She was never this horribly forceful in the past and now she just barges in.

I hear what you're saying, but I would say that overall she usually presses the issue. It depends on the case because in my opinion the detectives get attached to different cases/victims for whatever the reason is. For example in outcry she was her same pushy self when she made up that law for the girl to submit to a rape kit. In Popular, Stabler went looking for the victim and after her lecture she ended up going along with it. In Undercover they found the girl and she was so badly brutalized that I would expect her to push the issue, it's hard to walk away from something like that without getting all the info possible. Lets not forget Closure and other episodes that I can't think of right now. I agree that her behavior is kind of wishy washy but I think her behavior in Undercover is more in line with her character.

Your all saying that theres fights all over the threads just like there were E/O comments everywhere as well and to resolve that we made an E/O thread there were also certain comments others didnt like hearing from the non shippers that was E/k related so to resolve that we made an E/K thread now lets make a fighting thread where we can all tackle eachother with our rude comments to death!!! fun!

I think another problem is that we don't know how serious the other person takes the show. We don't know if that person takes it to heart or just watches it to be entertained. So when we say something like "E/K is bad and I hate Kathy" someone might relate to Kathy or be in a position like her. So when someone says that, that person would be upset and retaliate back. Or the same can be said for someone saying "I hate Olivia and E/O" and vise versa.

Just a thought...

I have an issue too...I am sick and tired of people wishing death on Kathy just b/c you want E/O to happen...even if what you say is meant as a joke, it isn't funny....sorry, but you don't wish death on anyone, even a fictional character...it just isn't cool...

I am also sick and tired of 'someone' claiming Olivia is a bad cop and horrible character and I am getting pretty sick of the 'I am going to throw up' comment. It's childish and needs to freakin stop on all sides.

I see no problem with this thread. We should all be mature enough that when we have a problem we can adress it and move on,because when you don't, you get more and more pissed. People don't always just blow up on the spot, I know I don't. It's usually a few post that may piss a person and they finally blow up. We should adress problems on here for
1.Clear the air and tense feelings
2.Prevent them from happening again

The only problem is the way they are addressed. If you and a few friends have a big fight, your not bff's a day later because of it. You have to go to the source of the problem and address it. It's diff if it's an argument between 2 people, than it can be adressed on pm. For example here is issue that is adressed to everyone.

Keep all the shipper talk in your certain thread. There is a thread for each major ship so there is no excuse to be talkin E/O or D/O or E/K in the closet thread. Even though I don't go around saying 'Vomit" I do get physically sick at the thought of E/K sometimes. Yeah I go I that thread and joke around sometimes but that's my choice to do so and when I dont' want to read about it, I shouldn't have to read about it in the upcomming episodes thread(example only), and it seems like sometimes the non-shippers just rub it in our face that Elliot is back with Kathy. As much as we claim to be in denial, we know this trust me. And it seems like a slap in the face evertime someone says

"Elliot is with his wife whom he loves dearly and is never leaving and they have a child together"

Yes that was said and it wasn't the appropriate thread. But I know the E/K shippers get pissed too when people says "Die kathy Die" in the wrong thread or about how E/K are only back together because of Eli. Hell if you want kathy dead and whatever else say it in the E/O thread, if you wanna brag about Kathy being back with Elliot let loose in the E/K thread about it. That's what those threads are for, and i'm really getting tired of reading about all ships outside of their threads. Also, E/O shippers I love you guys dearly, please stop debating in the E/K thread, because they don't do that in ours.

Also, i'm still stuck on the e/o joking. Right now we are very sensitive because we aren't getting what we want. And when people joke about that, it makes some of us feel stupid, and sometimes I really hate comming on this board. It's not that we can't take joke, I know I for one love joking, but that's a sensitive subject for when people joke, and not only that when they will just come out of nowhere and say "E/O will never get together" and what not. We may not be too fond of kathy, but when she left him, we didn't tease you guys about it and stom on your shipper hearts, so I guess we expect the same courtasy now that they are back together and our feeling are trampled over

I love everyone on this board, no matter how arguments we've gotten in on here, I love you E/k shippers to, we may not agree, but we can still talk and joke sometimes. I can't hold grudges anyway lol.

I beg to differ. There is true freedom of speech. We see it every day. We all can say whatever we want to say as long as we are willing to deal with the repercussions. That is what keeps most people from saying what they really feel, dealing with the consequences after it's said, not the lack of freedom to say it.

The fact that there is consequences for speaking what ever you want doesn't make "freedom of speech"...if we had true freedom, we wouldn't be punished for yelling "fire!" in a crowded movie theater...if we had true freedom of speech we could say what we want when we want to...

Mary made it to talk about issues relating to SVU, it's episodes and characters not about issues you have with people. If you have an issue with a particular person than you message them. If you disliked a particular episode... this is the place to be!

Sorry if my post offended you. I have never said "I want Kathy to die" and I never will say it. During "Paternity" all I was saying was "save her save her save her" because I don't want her to die. Do I want her out of the picture? Yes, but not death.

thank you downsouthrider for posting that. I didnt realise that some E/O shippers felt that way. I guess it must be hard to want something for two characters and not have it happen. I see now that it is easy for me (personally) to sit at my computer and say Elliots back with kathy yeah, yeah, yeah, where he belongs yeah yeah, yeah, and be all smug about it. I never meant to rub anyones face in it though and I can only speak for myself, but i'm betting most other people dont mean to be smug either. I'm glad you shared the way you feel with us, thank you. Putting up the shipper threads was one of the best things that have been done here!!!!, keeps everything contained.

On another note I have a complaint against the show. 'Fight' aired over here last week and yet another perp was shot dead in the station house and the only thing I could think was 'Not Again!!' how many times is this going to happen seriously. Doesn't the precinct have metal detectors?. anyway its nothing major but I am tired of it. ahh venting feels good.

oh and another thing, I agree with disagreeing with the people saying Kathy should die, thats mean, big time. seriously what has she ever done to anyone on this thread. oh yeah, well there is that, but seriously wishing her dead seems a bit harsh.
