After drawing a disappointing 3.2 last week, this week's taped RAW from London, drew an alarming 3.2 cable rating, according to data compiled by Neilson Media Research. The show averaged 4.5 million viewers with a median age of 36 and over two-thirds of the audience were male.

Last week's RAW likely suffered from the competitive NCAA men's basketball championship game. The absence of John Cena and the fact that the show was taped could have affected this week's rating, but no excuse can brighten a 3.2.

The last time WWE RAW drew a rating below 3.5 was in 1997.

You know,Almost all the guys hate Cena but yet he's not on Raw and they get there Lowest rating,i guess Cena is a huge draw.

Bull.... on Cena.

The simple fact is, they just don't have the talent coming up, that they had in the late 90's. Yeah you've still got guys like HBK & Undertaker around, and even HHH....

But there are no Bret Hart's in the wings. No Steve Austin's. No Mick Foley's. No Rock's.

They just don't have the talent. Neither does TNA. The business has really suffered from this next generation, because they're just very bland.

Exactly. No charisma, no nothing. They can be great in the ring but there's nothing else there. No attitude, which wrestling is about, BIG ATTITUDE. Nobody but the older guys still the get the crowd quite as pumped except maybe Edge and he's a nineties guy. The fact is that alot of the younger guys just don't seem to think that having that over the top attitude is important anymore. It seems.

Well talent-wise, TNA has plenty. Stars wise, they can't seem to build anybody up right.

As much as i like alot of the young TNA guys, only a few had any attitude it felt like, Austin Starr and Alex Shelly. Really LAX had the attitude in the ring and Konnan had the mic skills but that's about it. Alot of those guys i just cringe at/.

Yea they have the stars, theres some guys that have potential but these days its hard to get emotionaly attached to wrestlers like people did with rock and austin.Ever since 2002 i think wrestling has gone down but i think its also the writers fought because these days alot of the storylines SUCK!

And now Vince is trying to make WWE Kid friendly!Like in the 80's...But yet he got more money and fame and more ratings when they pushed the envelope in the attitude era.

And another thing.Back in the days before someone became a star they had to work their @$$ off for years to get to the top...either working in japan or mexico...and going to ECW and then on to WCW and WWE and once their they had to work to the top...now days they get a guy with no experience and train him in the developmental system for a year and a half and then push him as the next Big Thing. That just does not work.

I agree, very true.

Exactly. Cena just pumps the crowd up to boo him, despite being a face, same with Batista.

Orton has okay mic skills, but just can't seem the juice a crowd.

The only ones that can are Edge & Y2J... and like you said - 90's guys.

IMO, the business desperately needs an nWo for this generation. Or DX. or Austin era. or Rock.

They have become so predictable.

Could you imagine if Austin or The Rock returned full-time? Their ratings would skyrocket, and the WWE would be on top again like it was in the late 90's. Because audiences are craving that. The days Austin's gonna come out and throw a defective mic across an arena, or DX is gonna come out in sunglasses & a fro, and imitate The Rock.

For a small second, back in 2006 when DX came back, in the first month or so... I saw something I hadn't seen in the fans eyes in years.... genuine, unpredictable, fun!

And it was intoxicating. If we only could go back to 1998, instead of 2008.

Exactly. All the younger guys are boring, like you have stated they should have taken some acting lessons, most guys get on the mic and i just want to cringe and i usually turn the channel when during their promo's. No doubt those TNA guys can put on great matches, but they can't do anything else.

There used to be stables and factions, thats one thing that makes it interesting....i for one would love to see Paul Burchill get his Pirate Gimmick back and form a stable of Pirates.
Axl
That would be weak imo.

LOL it might be....but kids will love it...and wwe wants to aim more to kids now
Axl
True, but if the WWE is going to market to kids, they'll do some Hulkamania-style push with Cena.

Burchill is pretty unpopular, and not really even on the radar.
