It was announced just a short while ago at today's SmackDown/ECW taping in London that Mike Adamle is the new play-by-play announcer for ECW. He will be calling tonight's entire ECW broadcast with Tazz.

With Adamle in as the new play-by-play annnouncer for ECW, Joey Styles is obviously out. However, Styles' services will be retained by the company. WWE plans on moving him to an undetermined area within the organization.

WHAT?!?!?!


What the hell are they doing?!?!?!



I mean, we'll see how Adalme does, he was great on Gladiators, but Styles is out? Why?


I'm wondering if he fought Vince on this whole 'tell more storylines, less match calling' stuff.


Styles has had issues with Vince on direction in the past, especially Styles being apart of the REAL ECW... the original one.

Well i just read somewhere that Joey Styles is moving to wwe.com to do something there.I say if they dont want Styles we can see how adamle does but if he sucks maybe Tazz can call ECW himself.Its only 1 hour so Tazz could pull it off

Adalme won't suck. I'm not worried about that.



It's just Joey Styles is well.... Joey Styles. He's as much ECW imo as Heyman.

Totally agree. This sucks, I liked Styles, he was great. Well hopefully we'll see him on the announcing team sometime in the future but if he's being moved to an "undetermined" spot then i doubt we will for a while. Thats just stupid.

"Undetermined" basically means, he's fired, but we're pulling him off of TV because he's still under contract.

Not sure if its true but i read That Joey might be moving to Raw because J.R. is not in good health like he used to so im not sure but its just a rumor i read on another site.

I wouldn't be shocked. Joey has replaced J.R. on RAW before.

Would be cool, in a sense if it happened. Bad for J.R., but it'd be a major promotion for Styles, going from the "C" show to the "A" show.

When JR finally turns it in (i don't see them replacing him without him volunteering to leave) Syles should replace him.

I would've thought they'd move Cole to Raw and then Styles to SD if JR really is getting away from commentating for a while.

I would have thought that to but Joey Styles has done Raw before.Plus anyways Coach is on SD! and i dont know if Joey could carry Coach Like Cole does.But it would be weird because since 1999 Cole has been the voice on SD!.

Styles has already replaced J.R. before folks.

Styles called RAW for quite a while, when J.R. was out with surgery & recovery.
