I'm seriously bored right now.

I'm really bored now too. I'm enjoying the last 35ish minutes of my day of birth, while watching Lockup on MSNBC LOL!

At first I was like "Wait... it's 31 mins past..." then I realize your time zone's not eastern... at least... I don't think it is...

Nope lol, I'm one of the only areas inside the state of Indiana that is in the Central time zone. Thank goodness for Chicago being right here, I get so thrown off when I'm in the Eastern time zone

You know what's weird... i heard that Indiana doesn't do Daylight Saving Time and whatnot, well actually, I got to experience that first hand. I went camping in South Bend one time... arrived there the first day and I got thrown off because all the clocks were wrong. I swore that Indiana was Eastern time.

See that's the thing that confuses everyone, including me. For a long time Indianapolis didn't take part in Daylight Saving Time, but now they do. The entire state does DST, but a majority of Indiana is in the Eastern time zone. There are 12 western counties that are Central and the remaining 80 are Eastern. Weird, huh?

I live in Lake County, which is one of the 12 counties in IN that is Central time, but we're 15 minutes from downtown Chicago, so that's why we are Central. I would hate going to Chicago and switching times, then coming home and switching times

People do switch times, but I think The Powers That Be tried to keep that craziness at a minimum. And that makes sense about keeping those counties as central.

You know what's kewl... and it barely has revelence to this convo... but i find this interesting that people can live in Detroit and go to work in Canada and vice-versa.

Indeed you do have the cooler time zone Though I have to say, i dunno about working in Canada bit because then you'd have to cross the bridge... which may or may not be backed up for a hour or two. And then there's the tunnel... which you could get into a traffic jam there.

Oh yeah, that's true. I've been stuck in the tunnels in New York City, and sometimes thats not fun.

One thing I do love about this time zone is that everything is on earlier lol.
