LOL! I still remember the first time when I was 16 and we had a major snowfall... my mom came by my school so that she could follow me home (given how new a driver I was). There was one intersection that was completely iced over and I had no choice but to slide right through... but she was right behind me, also sliding through--so it wasn't my inexperience at driving to blame.

Otherwise, people just need to remember to take it slower and give more room and time (especially to stop). Is it really so hard?

Yes it really is for some people. When I'm on exit ramps and it's snowing and they've yet to plow, don't tailgate dude. That's one of my peeves, but a lot of people forget what they're doing when it starts snowing. My favorite is when we get our first significant snow fall and every story on the news is talking to people about their commute home. Everyone seems so surprised that it's takes longer. And again...we're in Chicago, it happens every year, and yet so many people are so utterly surprsied by it.

More snow tonight and tomorrow, and another night and day of frigid temperatures. I'm definitely grateful I'm doing my schoolwork from home -- that means less madness I have to deal with out on the roads. Maybe one of these years, people won't have collective amnesia until the start of winter. :rolleyes:

Yes...sadly, she's not a Psych fan. She's seen episodes and said it was "cute," but not a die-hard fan. But you never know...maybe she'll end up working in television someday. But she's preparing to be a grad student, too....and grad students in theater have even less of a life than the rest of us do.

LOL! Though I know no theatre grad students, I knew plenty of theatre undergrads--mostly high school friends (as I was a so-called "techtress" in high school)... and they're still out there today, toiling away--mostly in NYC (I think)

She's down in NYC now, but is setting her sights elsewhere for grad school. I never really knew much about theater, other than what I see on the stage. It's amazing all the backstage, behind-the-scene things that go on.

Indeed it is. I stage manage and it's just as much of a production off stage as it is on stage.

Ugh... I still remember my high school director chewing me and the co-props crew chief out because the actor missed a cue and then brought flowers out instead of a cactus, ruining a big joke (Noises Off--very prop heavy play with the second act being almost entirely acted out in a on-stage 'back-stage' pantomime). Not our fault! We had everything labeled and laid out as always, he had missed an entire entrance earlier.

Ack, I'm babbling, and likely over-sharing, but its past 1am, so I have an excuse.

That's okay...share away. You're amongst friends. Granted, friends who will be sneaky and claim a win while also giving you reassurance...but friends nonetheless.
