I stopped posting for a few days to let others win--since you had complained I win too often, but then things got unbearably boring (clearly because of my absence)



Yeah... I still see that one too, even though I had changed it to a frog on top of a cupcake--a little happy birthday to me avatar goodness, but it seems like it just won't show.

It could have been for you... the boards are a bit crazy that way--you might see it one day, I won't see it til the next, another person might not see it for another two days. I don't quite understand how that works, but somehow it doesn't seem to update everyone at the same time (and definitely not immediately after you make the changes!)

Many of us also have the inability to modify personal info or change the personal photo (though avatars we can still change)

Oh, we can help you with that!

If you go to "My Controls" along the top of the boards, then you'll find yourself with a toolbar on the left that has "Personal Profile" as the third section down, then click "Edit Signature"

That's where you'll find a box (not unlike that which you'd type a message in) to type a signature. You can also add photos from a web address (though they'll be the same size they are on the web, so be careful they aren't too big, if you have one that you like but seems too big for a signature, let us know and we can help you re-size it).

You totally should! Take some time and play around with Paint... you can even do it there. It's fun to learn to do that kinda stuff and not all that difficult.
