USA apparently does not concern themselves with what the fans of the 4400 want or need. They obviously decided to put the money elsewhere, for example …. Law & Order “Criminal Intent” - and the new episodes aren’t even that good. The music is in a different content, and the overall setting just does not match up to what it was previously; it stinks (and I love that show). That was a waste of their money - I don’t know who their program director is - but I know some second graders who could teach him a few things.
We can’t even try to coax the Sci-Fi channel to pick up The 4400, they are owned by HSN (Home Shopping Network) right along with USA. (USA characters welcome) Their programming staff is filled with characters, and they are all probably college grads majoring in “Moronic Complex”
One thing is clear - and that is; that the efforts you wonderful people are putting forth to save The 4400, might be better off spent boycotting the USA, and the Sci-Fi channels. If you want to make a point - you have to hit them where it counts - “RATINGS” If we can get enough people to boycott those channels - it would be like a swift kick right in the pocketbook!!! “Ratings mean sponsors” and “Sponsors mean MONEY”
I thought I read somewhere - when the show was first canceled - that they had just finished filming season 5, and if that is the case - then it would be a shame to let it sit.

Out of curiousity, where did you read that bit about them finishing Season 5?
As far as a boycott, I believe a targeted one would be potentially useful at this point. How about we all boycott all the Sponors of the Sunday, 9 pm timeslot for the 13 weeks that the 4400 would have been on? If you individually want to go further, more props for you!

I am almost positive that it was mentioned in some dialog concerning Scott Peters anouncement that the show had been cancelled. It was a few months back - I do not remember exactly. I do know it was on the 4400 site - the actual dialog - I cannot recall. I think it was something along the lines of "at the conclusion of filming the 5th season of The 4400 - Scott Peters announced.." I have looked for it since, and I cannot find it. It is conceievable that I could be in error - but the memory is too vivid.

The show was cancelled before filming for the 5th season could start. They usually filmed February to June up in Vancouver, with pre-production starting earlier than that.

You could very well be correct - but there is something lingering in my mind about it, and I cannot dismiss it yet

I think that boycotting USA is a very good idea, but it must NOT replace the letters ! Both ways are good and should be done... I think we can talk about the boycott in the letters we will send !

Pablo, with all due respect, at what point do we stop with the letters? Letters will only go so far, especially with a Network that has shown nothing but contempt for its fans...

Letters to USA are falling on deaf ears - but we have a new target lined up for the 17th.
