TNA Champion Kurt Angle was interviewed this week by EagleTribune.com. One of the notable parts of interview was Kurt Angle talking about defeating John Cena in Cena's first televised WWE match:

"I remember he was really green," recalled Angle of Cena's first match. "He was really nervous that first night. My job that night was to make him look good. I was going to win, because I was the established guy and the company thought I needed to keep that momentum, but I wanted to make John look good. I set it up with him so I would win, but he would look better than me. He kicked out of my finisher, and I won with a quick pin."

Kurt Angle continued by praising Cena, recognizing his natural ability and work ethic. "I knew John would be special. I give him a lot of credit; he works so hard at it. He's a great kid, and when I worked him, we were on TV every week, but my job was to teach him, and he was a great learner. He's one of the guys in the WWE I still really respect. I'm proud of him, and I'm proud to say I helped him a little bit."

Huh? I thought Angle was prone to bashing Cena?!?!?!

And anything connected to the WWE. And yeah bubba i agree Kurt Angle has been jabbering about alot of stuff lately.

i think its nice of Angle to praises John Cena but all he does is talk and talk and talk i bet if the two of them had match right now John Cena would samsh Kurt Angle i dont care what anyone says John Cena will be inducted into the hall of fame one day and will beat anyone who trys to stop him!!! John Cena sooooo im going to put it all on the line i bet that cena will overome the other 3 men in the wwe title match at backlash even though hhh,randy orton, and jbl are great super stars i think cena has the skill not saying that hhh or any of the other guys dont have any talent i mean look at how many time hh has been champ i think its somethig like 11 times thats more than all of the other guys put together so there is some skill well my hands are getting soar of typeing so thats all for now bye

If it wasn't rigged? Cena would get his ass handed to him by Angle. Angle is fantastic in the ring, Cena sucks.

JBL might win it.Due to stuff going outside the ring.HHH and Stephanie are having their baby soon.Randy and his wife are having their baby soon.John Cena will be busy filiming his movie.But JBL is not doing anything and has no distractions going on that could call him away.I read that somewhere so just wanted to say that.

Yeah, these guys were rivals, right? And now Angle says that he respects Cena? Wow.

You are right on all of that. HHH and Steph/Randy and his wife are expecting which is good. I'm happy for both. :] I hate that Cena's having to cut back a bit, but he'll be back before ya know it. But JBL is probably the most open man right now, but I really don't like him. There's just something about him. Anyways, I would like to see Jeff win when he gets back. It would be nice to see what kind of champ he'd be.
