- It appears WWE has changed the name of the 6/29 PPV to Night of the Champions. In years past, the pay-per-view was called Vengeance. The PPV will take place at the American Airlines Center in Dallas, TX

Night Of The Champions
has a bit of a throwback feel (very WCW), but it's not very grabbing for a PPV title. I preferred Vengeance.

I think Vince has been using too many old WCW ideas, at least it seems that way to me. I don't like the name.

It also reminds me of something TNA would come up with. I like Vengence. Short and sweet.

It pretty much narrows what WWE can do. With other names like Vengence, Summerslam, etc. they aren't restricted to only using the champs. So if any chances need to be made in the future, they are pretty much telling everyone that the champs won't all defend anymore.

Like that Champion of Champions thing ago, I wonder if they'll use the PPV as a way to have some kind of tri-brand match.

Something like...

WWE Champion Randy Orton
vs.
World Heavyweight Champion Undertaker
vs.
ECW World Champion Kane

Triple Threat
