- We've got some more exclusive notes from the set of WWE Films' 12 Rounds, starring former WWE Champion John Cena.
With New Orleans being a hotbed right now for new movies being filmed, the city has been very gracious to the 12 Rounds crew, allowing pretty much any use of the city. Shooting is expected to wrap up in early May.
A recent scene that was shot with John Cena caused the Crescent City Connection bridge to be closed. Cena drove a 1973 Camaro off of the Algiers ferry and across the bridge.
After Cena returned to the set after WrestleMania and RAW, they began shooting a scene that would last most of the week involving a streetcar, a police car and a pickup truck. A portion of Canal Street infront of the Harrah's Casino was closed for filming of the high speed chase. Another chase scene that will be filmed this week involves Cena and a firetruck speeding through the French Quarter.
It's a well known fact among the crew that Cena has Monday's off and those are his "wrestling days." Everyone has been impressed with Cena's performances and behavior, with some saying he is finally coming into his own as an actor.
Cena is doing most of his own stunts in the movie, including most of the chase and driving stunts.

I notice they talked about New Orleans being a hotbed for new filming projects right now. I assume because of goodwill towards getting the city back on track after 2005's Hurricane Katrina.
I know I really liked that new buddy cop show K-Ville starring Anthony Anderson & Cole Hauser. Unfortunately it got cancelled after only 10 episodes.
