Okay, it's still an acting gig but I'll take it. Anyone got pictures where he isn't acting and the hat is off? If not, any pictures will do.

I kinda like the mustache. I hear he's not crazy about it though. I think it's a good look for him. I love the stubble too.

Not to get off the subject but, I thought Ted was great tonight in Mr. Monk Takes Manhatten!

I just read on a site that Ted was born in Cleveland Ohio--another saying Parma, which I believe is part of Cleveland regionally. Ha! I was born in Akron! Ohioans rule!!!!

I asked my wife who's close to Ted's sister and she told me They were born in Belaire, Ohio on the West Virginia, Ohio, Pennslvania border. I've driven very near there on I-70 passing thru Bridgeport and Wheeling, West Virginia over the Ohio River. I'm a truck driver. Both their parents were doctors and did quite well for themselves. They moved to a wealthy suburb of Chicago when Ted was still in grade school. His parents retired to North Carolina, and my wife works at a restaurant owned by the family . I can't help you with a picture without a hat though no matter how hot it was when I seen him he was always wearing one. Hope this helps.

Um, agreed. I don't like the look in that one. Haven't seen the movie yet but pulled up several photos from it on the internet. Keep in mind, "old fart," as a style and life choice usually works for me. Rofl. But in AG, what the hell did they do to the poor guy? He looked better in Wild West!

The name of the restaurant is the Holly Ridge Smokehouse at 511 U.S. 17 N. Holly Ridge, North Carolina. It's called the smokehouse but it doesn't have a smoker. It's your standard deep fried family fare restaurant, it just so happens to be part owned by Buffalo Bill Ted Levine ( it puts the barbeque sauce on it's skin or it gets the hose again! ) You'll be disappointed if you think you'll run into Stottelmeyer though, he's more of an absentee owner, He lets his sister do his work for him and only comes by every few years. Anyway my head hurts, I'm really hung over, and I've got to find a way of explaining to my wife why I lost so much money last night when the Tar Heels lost 84 to 66 to Kansas. I'll post again later when the hammer stops pounding in my head.

Do they do the eastern NC vinegar based sauce, or the tomato based sauce, or is it just fried stuff? My husband is originally from Ahoskie. He's a big Tar Heels fan too. Major disappointment. My condolences.

I don't know, I have to respectfully disagree with you guys, here. I think a makeup artist would have to work mighty damn hard to make him look like anything but HOT! Wild Wild West must have had their very best makeup artists in the business working on him to make him look less that scorchin' and in my own opinion, humble as it is, the only way they might have somewhat succeeded was by basically covering up everything bu his eyes. But his eyes were gorgeous! I even find myself disturbed by how hot I think he looks with the mullet hairstyle, or dancing around wearing someone else's scalp, blue knee highs and very little else in SotL. That feels like the kind of confession you should only tell a priest in a little dark closet with a wall between you, and even then, I would half expect the priest to absolve youbecause you are only human. If not for that slow, creepy, 'I wear dead people' vibe he projected so well in that part, he would have been dangerously hot, might have melted the cameras.

Ted Levine is so hot, he's probably a good bit of the reason for global warming. He's so hot, he could actually make me slap my mama, and maybe even my grandmother, as much as I love both of them. He's so hot that the reason you don't see him at as many of the functions and things as a lot of other USA stars is because Tony already gets the majority of the attention, if Ted was there as well, no one would pay attention to any of the stars from any of the other shows but Monk. Same with Jason, the three of them together, it might as well be the Ted, Tony and Jason event. Ted's voice is so sexy that as nice as his face is, his voice gives me chills and the second I hear it, I immediately go to the living room from any other room in my house to stare at the TV and drool. That is what I imagine the men on the cover of those romance novels would sound like, if they weren't such plastic looking pretty boys. Ted is so gorgeous, he could cause pile ups on the freeway if he stood beside the road or if they put his picture on billboards.

Okay, that was fun. Seriously, though, I get the impression that Ted is a very reserved, private, shy person, and although we have seen how he can change his appearance like a chameleon, so he is almost unrecognizable (but still HOT! ) The moment he speaks, everyone knows that they have heard that voice before, even if they aren't sure where, and a lot of them will be sure where they've heard it. So I imagine it's not very easy for him to go out much and not expect to be recognized.

BTW, I mentioned it on another thread at least once, but if you haven't seen You Can Thank Me Later with Ted in it, you really should. He's bald in it, but still dead sexy. And of course, he knocks it out of the park as far as playing to role of Eli Cooperberg goes, his acting skills are every bit as wonderful as they are in every other part he plays. The man is just good, there's nothing else for it.

I saw a pic of him at the NBC Universal Media village- it was so tiny I had to squint to make sure it was him. He was wearing something grey.

I'm watching American Gangster right now. My preliminary opinion is that he looks much better than was reflected in the pictures I've seen. He'd look much better if they left his hair alone altogether but it's not nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be. Those pictures are pretty bad.

The Smokehouse in Sneads Ferry, N.C. that Ted Levine is co-owner with his sister and brother serves a great deal of Southern fried food with optional sides of vinegar based barbeque sauce. The original owners husband Jim did a lot more hands on barbeque-ing before he was forced out. Not much barbeque-ing being done these days. Hope this helps!

I pretty much agree with everything you said about our gorgeous Mr Ted. I'll even refuse to put the lotion on so he'll come over to my house and turn the hose on me.
My only difference of opinion, and it's slight, is the voice part. Yes, I recognize Ted's voice now, whenever I hear it. But, The Voice that really makes me stand up and pay attention, run into my living room and drool is Sam Elliot. Ooooooh, be still my heart. That voice has lured me into watching every movie SE has made, no matter how scruffy he himself looks. (Think Roadhouse with Patrick Swazey.) I have a huuuuuuuuge crush on him, and have for years. So, now it's Ted--Sam--Ted--Sam. What's a girl to do??? I know----dream and drool about both.

TL is so slim and trim, I'm beginning to think they put "fat pads" on him to make him look bulkier on the show....the TL in these photos are HOT, the dweeb with the headbead at the gym locker was NOT...
