- WWE has launched an investigation into the fireworks accident that happened at WrestleMania according to the Orlando Sentinel. Up to 40 fans were injured and three were taken to a local hospital suffering from burns as a cable that was carrying live rockets snapped and hit fans in the upperdeck as well as on the floor. Orlando fire officials held a news conference on Monday and said that the investigation is now in the hands of WWE and their fireworks contractor which is based in New York and has worked with them for more than ten years. All the pyro - costing upwards of $300,000 - were approved by the Orlando Fire Marshal as a nine-person team inspected pyro throughout the day. The Fire Marshal said that they found nothing wrong with the pyro and if they did, they would have stopped them on the spot.

I just hope the folks are okay and didn't get hurt worse.

That sucks for those fans. But really the WWE can't do much about it besides help those fans out and maybe give em' free stuff. If it wasn't approved by the Fire Marshall then the WWE can't be blamed.

Glad there were no serious injuries, this just seemed to be a freak accident

I was thinking the WWE might be able to smooth things over with those fans by working out some free packages to WM XXV.

Yeah i was thinking Merchandise, autographs, getting a chance to meet their favorite wrestlers, and a couple of tickets to Wrestlemania or another PPV of their choice.

The chances that both the fireworks accident and the lights going out during a match would happen on the same night are pretty damn slim, and yet WWE seems to have caught it in their biggest event of the year.
Skuee
Wow, is there only like 4 posters for the Raw forums? Haha.

I actually watched a video someone recorded on their cell phone... it was pretty disturbing to see fireworks exploding in people's faces.

Even if it was a accident, WWE should have at least refunded their tickets or something..

Pretty much but we have good discussions.
Axl
Pretty much. Axl, Slash, Ratedrko, Baba & Bubba are regular posters. There's a couple of non-regular posters too.

But it's about quality over quantity. My one request is that WWEgirl would return. Great poster.
Skuee
Well, I hope to become a regular poster...

Axl
Nice. Hopefully you'll be a quality poster. We've recently had issues with TNA/WCW spammers.

Off-topic:

Funny how RockyKing suddenly disappeared after TNA Lockdown did. I'm starting to think it was a double-account. TNA Lockdown would bash, and then RockyKing his alter-ego would counter.

Jeez, those kids must be living in the past..

Off-Topic: Like my signature? biggrin.gif
Axl
Yeah, great signature.

Previous members, used to have a bad habit of slapping Sting & Stacy Keibler ( blink.gif ) over their sig all the time.

Nah, TNALDF has his...unique...way of posting. Hard to get so far away from it.
Axl
John Kerry has more sense than Vince McMahon!

Do you like The Smurfs? I really enjoyed Transformers, but I don't think it's as good as Saved By The Bell.

He doesn't like Saved By The Bell. They are too crazy, drugged up, and sex craved for his taste.
Axl
Yeah especially with Dustin Diamond who filmed a three-way with him and two chicks, and Mario Lopez who slept around on Ali Landry, and Elizabeth Berkley who did Showgirls, etc.

There are many weird coincidences with this whole deal. TNALD has a double account. I am almost certain.

Yeah she showed up for like three days then left. Some of the older posters should come back.

The reporter, Neil Hughes, was struck by one of the cables in the head and shoulder. Those same cables struck a little boy sitting infront of him. As of now, no formal legal complaints have been filed against WWE due to this incident, but they are likely and WWE officials are said to be expecting them.

What i dont' get is how they would have a case if the inspectors checked everything.
Axl
They'll have a case against BOTH the WWE's pyro people AND Orlando's fire marshals.

I would think that it would be just the city. Of course i have not taken any law class ever so i wouldn't know.
Axl
I don't know exactly what the WWE would be liable for, seeing how it was a technical 'accident'... but i'm sure a good lawyer could cook up an emotional distress case.

Good point. If they can do that with McDonalds coffee they can do something here.
