Oooooo! It's tempting to pre-order, but I hate waiting for it to be shipped. It's worth a few extra bucks to me to go and buy it at Best Buy, the day it comes out. They usually knock a few dollars off the price if you buy it within the first week of release.

I always think about preordering stuff like this, but trust me July 8th, I'm gonna be up at 7:30 and on my way to Target to get my Psych dvds. I'm nuts, I know.

I will wait for it to go on sale $40 is too much. If anyone is interested, I can let you guys know when it is a reasonable price .

I've never had a problem with not getting my items the day they come out, even with just using the free shipping. I've ordered several books early and got them all the day they came out, and also Season 3 of The Office got there the same day it came out. I'm really hoping that's how it goes this time, too, but I suppose I'll survive if I have to wait an extra day or two.

Ok, so i'm not sure how this works so i'm hopeing someone can help me out. I wan to get season two at a low price. So is it safe to assume that i would better of if i pre ordered it? I would think that when it first comes out that the stores would have it at the highest retail price (which i believe is $59.99) or do some stores have them onsale right away? any input would be mucho helpful. thanks to all who answer.

I think I said this in another thread... but my fear with buying any TV season on DVD nowadays is because the marketing dept of Stargate SG-1 decided to 1) Do packaging changes for their last two season [I ended up getting big bulky boxed sets for the first 8 seasons, and then slimlined packaging for 9&10] and 2) because at the end of the series they decided to do an entire SERIES boxed set... with 4 discs full of bonus features and potentially a blooper reel (which came to a whopping $200-300 [not sure on price]) and 3) Our lovely fans overseas got so many more bonus features because they were a different region than us.

I really really really want to buy season 1&2 on DVD... I don't have to worry much about the above reasons 1 and 3 (that I know of) but my main concern is reason #2.

... But I think I'll have better luck with the Psych marketing dept... I think NBC/Universal would do better with this show. And we already have blooper reels... which was my main disappointment with SG-1... I mean every other Scifi show had it.

But anyways... yeah. o.O

The second season is for sale at Family Video.com for $37.77. Also on Walmart.com the second season of psych and the sixth season of monk are available as a combination package for $58.10. I recently made a request for the second season to be placed on the list and I noticed this package set just appeared today. (I work at Walmart and spoke to our store manager about it.) I'm going to see if I can get psych available by itself. Wish me luck.

Good Luck! At one of the video stores in our mall, I am a member who receives 10% on every purchase I make. I already preorder it there for $5 dollars, which they will knock down when it arrives. They said that the first week of the release of any dvd is cheaper than a week later. It also helps to see if a dvd is used. They are usually cheaper than regular price dvds. Two weeks ago, they had Season One on sale at $29.99, but I noticed it went back up the next week to $54.99! I was wise to preorder it because they don't get that many copies of television shows in like they do with a movie release.

Im too frugal to pay 40...and the cheapest I've found it is 36.99 with free shipping at FYE, Deep discount, Sam goody, and Suncoast (All of these stores are managed by the same company) Does anyone know an online store that has it cheaper than $37 total?

I pre ordered, I wanna say, 2 weeks ago? Can't remember.

I pay $79 a year at Amazon.com for free 2 day shipping (Believe me, as much as I order from them, I use up $79 in shipping in no time, so the rest of the year IS free for my shipping). So I can wait the 2 days after it comes out. I'll have withdrawl, but I'll survive.

My wonderful mom pre ordered it for me for my birthday, so I luckily don't have to pay for it.

Don't quote me on this but I know from past experience if you pre order it, you can get it the day or even a two days before it's officially released.
