Hi gang! It was a great night in NYC tonight, as actors Jeffrey Donovan, Gabrielle Anwar and Bruce Campbell attended the USA Network Upfront at The Modern restaurant , at The Modern Museum of Art. (Upfronts are for ad sales, where they parade out their new pilots & series stars). Here are some photos of our great looking cast from Getty images (click link for more):

to top it all off.... I was there!!! (well, "outside" at least!)

(dream come true) I got to meet Jeffrey & Bruce!!! YAY!!! I can still hardly believe it!

Here's how it went down: I saw in the news that USA would be in NYC for upfronts at the MOMA tonight, and since I knew JD attended last year, I thought to myself... WHEN am I ever going to get the chance to meet the BN cast?!??! So I raced over late after work & knew I had found the right place when I saw a gaggle of paparazzi outside the museum restaurant. The 'razzi said the cast of Law&Order had already left, but I knew JD & Bruce were still there because I kept on hearing the PR girl call for Donovan's car to be ready. About a half hour later, Gabrielle was whisked out the doors and into her car -- darnit! I missed her! About all I saw of her, were her great shoes -- good enough for me. Other various USA Network stars came out also (some WWF wrestlers (um, ok), Dulé Hill, Debra Messing, etc.).

Then about 45mins later the PR woman announced Jeffrey would be coming out to sign autographs! yay!!! He was so nice & signed all the photos the paparazzi stuck out for him -- he was in a great mood, joking around with them and asking how they always found him, and how did they find out his hotel earlier, etc., and then he was jokingly chiding the ones who were making him sign multiple pictures (i.e. autograph sellers), it was funny. I finally got my turn and had him autograph my Burn Notice picture, and then told him I was big fan & how much all of us online at the Burn Notice forum loved the show & couldn't wait for the new season (yes, I actually said that!) and then asked him if I could get a photo -- and his very nice publicist took it for us, yay! And he looked great & I was just so nervous & he was sweet and he thanked me for coming out & then he headed off to his car, and that was that! But then I turned around...

and there was Bruce! THE Bruce Campbell!!! I'm still in shock. And I asked him to sign my Burn Notice poster, which he kindly did (and wrote "Sam" beneath his autograph -- I'll have to scan it tomorrow for ya'll), and then I asked him to take a photo with me, and that same very kind publicist piped up & said, "Bruce, she's a real fan!" (letting him know I wasn't one of the paparazzi - which was so cool of her) and then she offered to take our photo as well. Bruce made her take two pics because he wasn't ready for the flashes on my camera, but he turned out great in both! Then the publicist walked Bruce to his car, and as she passed me on the way back I thanked her so much for helping me out with the photos. She introduced herself, Lynn, and I think she's head of USA Network PR - so a big shout out to her!!! You made my night!!! She was super sweet and asked me if I got to meet Gabrielle, and I said she had left so quick, and the woman said Gabrielle hadn't been feeling well so she left early. Aw, feel better soon, Gabrielle! So that's about it! It was all a blur really, but I'm so giddy & glad that I went out tonight & got to meet them!

Big huge thanks to Jeffrey & Bruce for taking the time, and for USA for making it happen!

Sounds like you were about the only fan there amidst the paparrazi? You were so wise to wait at the door where you did, and it's so cool how the publicist helped with the pics and getting BC's attention. And thank you for mentioning the fans here at the forum!! Be sure to tell us if you remember more details. Like how hot JD looked in that black shirt. And how soft was BC's jacket?? More...tell us more!!

wow!wow!wow!All of that is so great!!! You would be scraping me off the ceiling. I can't believe you thought to mention us nuts here on the board -- that was so nice of you. Thanks for the detail; i'm living vicariously. Are JD and GA really that skinny? Bruce sure looks like he'd be fun to hang around with.

i did have a huge grin the whole subway ride home last night - i'm sure everyone thought i was looney! i still can't believe it really happened...geesh! as for the details... (you really want me to ramble more than i already have??? alrighty then!)

i think i was was of the only fans there for most of the time, but I know there was at least one other girl who got her picture with Jeffrey (yay for the fans!). Mostly it was just odd hanging around the paparazzi & watching how they reacted to each actor came out the doors -- they immediately surround them, unless the actor walked straight to their car - then the 'razzi would yell & gripe -- so rude -- such a shame. They didn't harrass Gabrielle too much thankfully, and she just seemed tiny, yes, then again, I only saw her shoes!

When the publicist came out & said Jeffrey would be signing, a little cheer went up, since that was the only actor she said that for all night when I was there. And aside from the ones with cameras, most 'razzi had these thick folders full of glossy photos of actors & each would try to get the actor to sign as many as possible in a very short amount of time -- which is why Jeffrey's remarks about them already having found him earlier in the day & scolding them for hogging autographs was so funny! and true! I could see some had already gotten his autograph earlier probably when they first arrived (they had glossies of his BN promo pics - how do they get those?), and they still went for more. I guess that's what they do for a living - i'm sure actors are used to it. That's why i was touched when the publicist told Bruce I was fan -- that was just cool. I wished you all could have been there, too! We would have shown those 'razzi a thing or two!!! Don't mess with BN fans!!!

Anyway, it was after the autograph-hogging comment that the 'razzi gave JD some space & I was able to get in. I was just worried he would be rushed off, but he was great to stay to get everyone. oh yes, Jeffrey did indeed look very very good -- he walked out in all black & I remember thinking he looks exactly as great looking as he does on the show - and i think the shirt was silk - very smooth. He just seemed so relaxed and happy. And very very fit. And his girlfriend was there too, by the way, and she is gorgeous - even the publicist mentioned how stunning his girlfriend looked when I talked with the publicist that brief moment afterwards.

Bruce just seemed... sooo Bruce! It was just great how he just casually rested his arm on my shoulder for our pic -- and it was just too funny when he said "no, no, no - take the another picture" when he wasn't ready for the flashes (I had extra flashes so there would be no red eye!). I just remember him looking so very Bruce/Sam - awesome. And after I left, Bruce called to Jeffrey, but Jeffrey had already gotten in his car, so Bruce went on to his. Maybe they had other events to go to that night, who knows -- maybe they went to go hit the town & practice their mojito jokes!

Just seeing them all makes me soo excited for the new season! I can't wait for more Sam/Michael antics!!! such a great cast! *le sigh* there are some more fun pics of them all from the upfront at Photolink.net:

Gilligan's Island for a BN Halloween show...his comment's hilarious! Thanks so much for posting those sites and for all the detailed information, Natasha. Yes, how do the razzi get all those promo pics? Would have loved to have had one at the golf event for him to sign. It's got to be irritating to sign all those pics for the guys who are in it for money only, but JD certainly is gracious to fans. And BC was terrific, too, taking the time to pose for another photo with you. You lucky, lucky gal!!!

This is just so cool! I am still so thrilled for you! I had to come back today and read this post all over again!

You know, I have yet to hear anyone who has had an encounter with Bruce say he's been anything but a nice guy. And it sounds like Jeffrey is very much the same. Yay for them! Lucky for us fans!

Isn't it great to hear how happy they all are? It'll be a shame to reach the level of success these guys have and be miserable. I hope that is reflected in the second season.

You know, I can't think of a better BN fan to have had your night. If they only knew how big a fan you really are, they'd have let you go inside and do the interviews with them.

Congratulations Natasha!!!! I'm so glad you got to meet JD & BC. You deserve it so much for all the wonderful stuff you've done on this forum.

And I'm so glad to hear, once again, what great guys JD & BC are. They must get pretty jaded from all the garbage that goes on surrounding celebrities. Thank goodness they put up with it long enough to meet some honest-to-goodness fans. They hung out long enough and got to connect with one of the biggest fans of all!!! They had no idea!!! And through you, we get to have another encounter with them!!! So great!!!

You know, I bet they got a big kick out of it also. They're entertainers after all and they don't get instant feedback unless they're performing in a theater. JD said in one of his interviews that his favorite thing is being on stage. It must be strange to work and have to wait so long for feedback. Plus, they hear from critics first, not fans. So, I believe the "love" was mutual, and thank you so much for sharing the "love" with us. We're feeling it too!!!

looks like those 'razzi pics are now on ebay. surely JD has a agent/manager where you can send autograph requests without having to shell out$$ for them?

I guess USA had another upfront last night in Chicago (any Chicago peeps out there?) but it looks like only Gabrielle was there -- looking fiercely fabulous as usual! i love it - she's fearless! Can't wait to see what her wardrobe for the new season will be!

Looks like USA's last upfront in is LA on April 3rd - I bet the whole gang is there, then it looks like they head down to Miami to begin shooting by the end of April - yay!!! Can't wait to hear from all our intrepid reporters in Miami!

CONGRATS on going to the UPFRONTS and Meeting Jeffrey and everyone else. If I had been in NYC near where I live anyway, I would have gone but alas, I AM IN FLORIDA!!!! Fabulous pics. Sounds as giddy as I was when I flew up to NY for my favorite 80's band Concert at BBKINGS. As for the hotel. May have been the MARK on the east side or the one the actors go to in daytime around the corner from where I live called the ATHENEE hotel. the Mark was made famous from Johnny Depp trashing the hotel room and throwing things out the window a few years back. the other has a tiny nothing bar and while it is nice, not my place to stay in recommedations. The Museum of Modern Art. Hmmmmmmm. Wonder if they hit TAO around the corner afterwards. Made famous for Daytime parties and SEX and the City pop in's when they shot here.

I love that grey color on JD - looks great with his eyes, and I love when GA wears her hair down - gorgeous! Is Jeffrey working the scruffy look for the new season I wonder? can't wait!!!

OK - get with the program Jeffrey, all the women are dressed up and you're in jeans and a scruffy beard. (Not that he doesn't look good)

Can't speak for the way he's dressed but as for the scruffy beard...could it be because of a certain storyline for the show? Last season, we see Michael going God knows where in the back of a semi. I doubt they'll be letting him go home to pack his razor. Hmm...

He looks like he'd have to shave twice a day on a normal basis. but I think he may just be, with the jeans and the scruffy look, a bit of a renegade. Sort of anti-"I'm a Star".

I hope so. It's even more appealing.

Ahh the throes and excitement of first falling in love!! I sure do miss that. My HB has been home sick all week and I'm about to pull every last hair out of my head!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL!!!! Makes you wonder why you put up with him. Every now and then I catch my self wondering about my boyfriend then he does something to remind me he's worth keeping around.

Geez, I wonder the same thing too, but he's a good man and a really good Dad, and in all honesty, don't know what I'd do without him. Although, I will say if anything ever happened I would NEVER get married again! (does that sound harsh?)
